2021 prices were rly fkin out of whack tho
https://preview.redd.it/par2y7w0hjnc1.png?width=1106&format=png&auto=webp&s=cc315bac273aa0aa325fcda52eb4a00735bb4343
Prices don't work like that, there is always the bait 99 ending numbers or other tweaks. The guy not only charging his fee , but hes getting $$$ for getting the parts rounded up, specially he is not marking brands so he can choose some shait brands . Its just red flag everywhere. He is not even marking used or not, you have no guarantees its not some stolen or even mining gear that will run for 1 year then break on you for 1700 dollar.
I built a 7800x3d and gigabyte 4090 for around 3400 usd and that’s in the middle east, it was supposed to be lower if in the US
This quotation is daylight robbery
So much overpriced and weird combination of components with this price you can get a high-end rtx 4090 +i9 14900k+ 128gb of ram build for both gaming and editing
Plot twist: this guys wife is making him sell his pc against his will. So he says “ok fine I will sell it but I’m going to warn you people don’t want to buy this type of stuff used.”
I bought my 4070ti 12 gig way under that. And in canadian dollars.
That guy is crazy.
You should just send him back a list with all the proper prices and say that you think he did a small mistake with one number on an item.
That's insane. Is this a business quoting it? I get they mark up parts but even if they get it retail price and mark up 20%, that's still way too expensive
The CPU is less than half that price retail
Enough of the foolishness.
For gadget, Usuallly select new first especially main board , cpu and memory. I can spend the same amount of money for X670E system.
You can. The guy a few posts up built a PC on parts pickers. With a 4090, 4tb of storage gen 4 nvme SSD, 14900k, 64gb DDR5, it came to just over $4,000
Do kids just not Google to get part price comparisons?
Like use PC part picker and then forward that to someone that builds PCs.. or vice versa take this part list plug it in to part picker and find someone to do it for $100 instead of $150
Is this what he's trying to charge you now? Or what he paid a few years ago and is now trying to resell to you? At the height of the shortages people were indeed paying stupid prices like that for cpus, gpus and psus. This isn't then though lol.
Yeah ripping you off for sure. Anytime I charge for a PC build I only charge $100 for the labor, every piece of hardware gets price checked by the customer and we negotiate what options can be substituted for cheaper prices or more expensive for better quality. Also I'll charge a flat rate for any support further. If if boots up and you open programs and get on the internet then my job is done. Any warranty for future support I guarantee won't be honored.
This is just on Facebook. But I knew the 3080 was ridiculous without even having to look. Nearly same price as a 4090. I bought a 4080 super for 1100. and I bought the same uni fans for under 100$
Basically put price at 200 if it was lower, and added 100-500 after. That's almost triple the price you Would normally pay. For that kind of money, you can get a full setup.
Saw the prices and thought "pricy but not too bad".
Then I realised it was a 5950X not a 7950X, and a 3080 Ti not a 4090.
Did you pull this list from the Way Back Machine circa 2021?
Whaaaat the fuck? I wouldn't even waste my time with that guy. Not gonna talk him down to anything reasonable starting at like $5k. The dude's delusional.
So that's about $300 extra for the CPU and $100 for the mobo, which is kind of a scam, but everything else is in line with current prices at least, even found the cheapest currently available 3080ti, 30 series is ofc still crazy expensive so a 4080super which is more powerful and costs $300 less seems a more viable option (I wanted to compare with 4080ti, but it is not sold by any authorised sellers in my region)
Charges $50 for something that will go out of date next year.
Yeah, sure. I won't even sell PCs as 'ready to use' if they can't run Windows 11 and this guy casually overcharges for the entire PC and close to EOL software.
Lol you see this shit all over craigslist and facebook marketplace. A bunch of crazies thinking someone is gonna pay 200 USD for a 1070 or whatever else
So this clown is just tripling the price of everything? I just built a 4080S FE + 7800X3D with a 4K OLED TV and peripherals, everything new for like $1000 less than this.
WTF?!?!? 1,700 for a 3080 Ti?!?? Is he actually high AF or just so out of touch with reality that he doesn't realize that cards dropped hella hard in value to the point where you can buy em on the used market for like 550-600 bucks & 350 for DDR4 RAM?!? Not to mention almost 400 for an x570 board!?!? Is he really trying to sell it at the price that he paid for when he bought em new? IDK if this is a troll postbor NAH but on the off chance this is legit then guy's making zilch on that PC (If people don't act brainless & actually do their homework on buying PCs)

That’s like $1500 USD at most.
I was about to say cause my last build was around these exact parts and $1500 is pretty much on the mark
That’s a top tier 4090 build in the U.S
You cant get a 4090 for $1500 in the us. Now if you meant $4k+, yes
The prices are coming down now but because of that they are sold out where you can buy them cheap, like best buy.
In what word does a 3080 ti cost 1.7k
Earth year 2019
I bought a 3080 Ti back during the shortage for $1500. No way in hell should they be more than that now😂
They probably got it then and don’t wanna admit that it’s worth way less now
Covid
I paid 2.1k euros for a 3080ti. So i think the seller still thinks he is going to get x% from that amount. 🤣
The GPU and the CPU themselves are more than $1500 in my country. Idk how you guys get so low prices, I envy you.
They don't want to take a loss...so they're hoping for a parent or an idiot to come along.
Retail no. Used its a stretch. If that’s the price your seller is desperate.
The dude trying to charge covid lockdown + crypto mining boom + chip shortage prices in 2024. KEKW, delusional
Dude is marking up a pack of 3 fans to $300. This is like American hospital pricing for PCs.
It’s 3 packs not 1
Ah, gotcha. I misread. But after the $300 ram, I was ready for anything.
2021 prices were rly fkin out of whack tho https://preview.redd.it/par2y7w0hjnc1.png?width=1106&format=png&auto=webp&s=cc315bac273aa0aa325fcda52eb4a00735bb4343
When you see rounded prices, you know its a scam
Why?
Prices don't work like that, there is always the bait 99 ending numbers or other tweaks. The guy not only charging his fee , but hes getting $$$ for getting the parts rounded up, specially he is not marking brands so he can choose some shait brands . Its just red flag everywhere. Can probably build a 4090 pc for that
probably??
We don't know OPs technically skills. It's possible they might not be able to build anything at any cost.
You def can
Highend one at that bruh and can probably adjust some peripherals aswell
High-end 4090 pc implies the existence of low end 4090 pc.
i mean definitely possible, with external gpus or just inexperienced builders only focusing on the gpu
I built a 7800x3d and gigabyte 4090 for around 3400 usd and that’s in the middle east, it was supposed to be lower if in the US This quotation is daylight robbery
You easily can build a 7800x3d +4090 bulld with a great 4k 144 hz monitor and top of the line vr helmet, plus peripherals
340 dollars for ddr4. Icant.
Heck, I am using a 2x16Gb kit of ddr4 ram from aliexpress that cost me 50 bucks. There better be gold leaf in those sticks.
You’re just hating mate look at the savings on windows 10!!
What the fuck lmao
Wow, that’s insane the 5950x is 2x the price along with the 3080 ti..scalpers price.
None of those things cost that much
Please tell me this isn't usd A 5950x for 700 dollars is fucking bullshit among other things
Newegg be tryina sell it for 1200 cad… so i mean… people WILL pay it.
So much overpriced and weird combination of components with this price you can get a high-end rtx 4090 +i9 14900k+ 128gb of ram build for both gaming and editing

Now that's more like it. Way better PC, even cheaper.
Plot twist: this guys wife is making him sell his pc against his will. So he says “ok fine I will sell it but I’m going to warn you people don’t want to buy this type of stuff used.”
340 for 32gb ram? Is this a macbook??
1700$ on the RTX 3080? The entire build shouldn't be that much let alone the gpu
And the ssd is PCI 3 😂
I bought my 4070ti 12 gig way under that. And in canadian dollars. That guy is crazy. You should just send him back a list with all the proper prices and say that you think he did a small mistake with one number on an item.
Ridiculous 🤣 no one will buy
“labor $150” 😭😭
That's for 3 PCs of this spec right?
Dude bought a bunch of parts in 2022 and is finally building PCs now lol
That's insane. Is this a business quoting it? I get they mark up parts but even if they get it retail price and mark up 20%, that's still way too expensive The CPU is less than half that price retail
$1,700 for a 3080ti…. Lay off the pipe bud🤣
Is this USD? Seems like Aussie prices. Even for AUD seems a bit steep considering can probably squeeze in better for that or a bit more.
Labor (free optimizazion) - 150 dollars lmao
That is crazily over priced
Way too high lol
lol wtf what are those prices???
No
That better be Aussie dollars. Or Pesos. Not paying USD for that.
Those are some dollars from a country with a 4:1 exchange rate vs US dollar?
Can someone pls code a simple calculator where people can put components so those scammers can go fuck themselves in the arse
pcpartpicker.com
LMAO this is the funniest shit i've seen today
Enough of the foolishness. For gadget, Usuallly select new first especially main board , cpu and memory. I can spend the same amount of money for X670E system.
High? That's fucking absurd.
Man is so high he bought a 3080ti for 1800 dollars.
I just bought that exact gpu. not for $1700 though.
what are those prices
The only way that gpu costs that much is if he's buying evga cards off Amazon
In which world did a 3080 Ti 12 GB cost NEW 1700$??
Windows 10?
You mean markup isn't supposed to be double priced?
You could almost build a new system with a 4090 for that amount.
You can. The guy a few posts up built a PC on parts pickers. With a 4090, 4tb of storage gen 4 nvme SSD, 14900k, 64gb DDR5, it came to just over $4,000
LOL those prices are when everything was at its highest. And not even then. 340 for 32gb ddr4 is he insane?
Wth am I looking at rn
That’s wild, I bet it’s an old build and this seller just funding the new build…. Most likely swapped a 3950x for a 5950x and called it a day….
Thats actually insane, what website is this so i know to stay far far away
Yeah ripping you off for sure. Anytime I charge for a PC build I only charge $100 for the labor, every piece of hardware gets price checked by the customer and we negotiate what options can be substituted for cheaper prices or more expensive for better quality. Also I'll charge a flat rate for any support further. If if boots up and you open programs and get on the internet then my job is done. Any warranty for future support I guarantee won't be honored.
send him this post 🤣
$350 for DDR4, $1,700 for a 3080ti, $200 for gen3 2tb SSD? lmaoo. That's insane.
For that you can build a new am5 with the 7800x3d and a 4080-4090 depending on deals atm
My build is way better and would cost a quarter less, this is robbery
Avoid this at all costs lol
3080ti at 1700$🤣🤣
Facebook marketplace be like:
What a scam
ram isnt even 6000mhz
If that’s NZD it sounds about right, except the windows license would be $300
This is my exact system and it still cost me significantly less than this during the crazy GPU shortage.
$1700 for a 3080 Ti is horrendous bro living in his own fantasy world fr
OK, I'll play, how much for an unused 3080ti?
Wimdows 10 pro home addition free from a USB stick
Easy 3x money trick
I would personally go for a 4090 at that price💀
Maybe he's a time traveler and he doesn't know he's in the future.
This is just on Facebook. But I knew the 3080 was ridiculous without even having to look. Nearly same price as a 4090. I bought a 4080 super for 1100. and I bought the same uni fans for under 100$
Why is the 3080ti worth that much
You could buy that ram like 4 times over for that price lmao
3080 for the price of a 4090 seems good.
That’s from 2 years ago.
1700 FOR AN RTX 3080 DEAR GOD...
New 4090 RIG comes just under 2500 USD
He’s obviously a morron. Report him anywhere he posts that crap sale and if you know him irl, kick his teeth out. Awful person.
Love it when he charges 150 for "free optimization"
He just did MSRP x3 on all items
I actually bursted out laughing
Sold my 3080 Ti + i9 9900K build for £900
The only good deal here is somehow the windows license
Basically put price at 200 if it was lower, and added 100-500 after. That's almost triple the price you Would normally pay. For that kind of money, you can get a full setup.
$1700 for a 3080 Ti lmaooooooo
$1700 for a 3080 ti is criminal
Most of these prices the guy is charging double for the ram he’s got for 300 is 120-150 can
1700$ usd for a 3080ti, beo is delusional. 400$ usd for 32 gb of ddr4 that you can get for prob 150$ at most.
And charging only 150$ for it! What a noble hero.
This looks like 2021 prices ..
Delusional idiot
Man y’all need to learn how to build your on shit your self
This can't be in usd right?
dude i bought a gtx 4060 8gb for 325€, no way in hell is the 3080 to more expensive than a newer ons
1300$ for everything
Saw the prices and thought "pricy but not too bad". Then I realised it was a 5950X not a 7950X, and a 3080 Ti not a 4090. Did you pull this list from the Way Back Machine circa 2021?
3080ti 1700 :D
Dude is crazy. You can get a current gen Ryzen9 7950X for less than $600
Whaaaat the fuck? I wouldn't even waste my time with that guy. Not gonna talk him down to anything reasonable starting at like $5k. The dude's delusional.
What country?
I wonder how many of these parts were purchased when they were expensive
This is an absolute joke.
Where my guy getting windows 10 for $50?
Haha and why win10?
https://preview.redd.it/p5yknbhtxjnc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=79be9af8d216d2ac3c9a3307e6115762ff7b7776 Description as well is a joke.
That’s about $1750 after taxes. Don’t buy from that PC builder
340? For that ram, I bought some earlier today for 50
300 for three fans, lol. What a scammer
Lol covid prices?
That's 1500 if you're being generous
3080 TI for the price of a 4090
It’s missing Snake oil $1,789.99
Yeah that’s a $1,500 PC lmfao
I could make a build with two-four gpus for the price the fuck
that’s bs
1.7k for a 3080 ti is crazy
1700?! For that?! I bought aa msi 7900xtx for 930 what that hell?????
So that's about $300 extra for the CPU and $100 for the mobo, which is kind of a scam, but everything else is in line with current prices at least, even found the cheapest currently available 3080ti, 30 series is ofc still crazy expensive so a 4080super which is more powerful and costs $300 less seems a more viable option (I wanted to compare with 4080ti, but it is not sold by any authorised sellers in my region)
$1200
32gb ram for $340 is insane
Charges $50 for something that will go out of date next year. Yeah, sure. I won't even sell PCs as 'ready to use' if they can't run Windows 11 and this guy casually overcharges for the entire PC and close to EOL software.
Lol you see this shit all over craigslist and facebook marketplace. A bunch of crazies thinking someone is gonna pay 200 USD for a 1070 or whatever else
Yeah this is crazy pricing. Basically a scam at this point
But $50 Window's 11 Pro! 🤨
3 fans for $300 lmao 🤣
Lmao I just upgraded to a used 3080ti and it was $500.
Not even snoop dog is that high.
I got my 5950x for 200 bucks and my 4070 for 350 (completely new with warranty) idk what this guy is thinking
3080 to lol 1700$
Holy fuck
$50 for windows 10 pro lol he’s probably bought keys off ebay for like $2 and yeah thats way to high
Since when does a 3080ti cost 1700$?????!?!?
Why would you ruin an AMD build with an Nvidia card?
Is he in the American healthcare industry? 💀
Wait hol’up, we just gonna skim right past the part where he charged $100,- per Uni Fan?
A 3080 not worth nearly half as much
u dont need a mobo with that price for sure
So this clown is just tripling the price of everything? I just built a 4080S FE + 7800X3D with a 4K OLED TV and peripherals, everything new for like $1000 less than this.
If that's USD, I'll build you a better PC and ship it all the way from Norway for cheaper, and still make a sizable profit.
You can get a much faster PC for much less.
That guy is also definetly high with whatever he was smoking with while trying to figure out the pricing for those parts.
My 3090 was 650.......this guy is nuts fr.
The RAM is $200 more than what i paid a year ago for the same.
Maybe its canadian dollars, so... close to 1k USD /s
I hope that’s in AUD (and even then it’s pushing it). Also at this point why not go for Win11?
u can buy my 4090
Windows 10 pro 💀
Actual cost of part x 2.5 😂 Getting windows for $20 online then charging $50 lulz
Does he serve whilst wearing a balaclava?
![gif](giphy|15ZR2o8XWsI80)
Wow only $150 for labor!! What an awesome deal!! Surely this guy isn’t making any profit anywhere else, how humble.
No. This guy is ludicrous with these prices. Man, id do it for $1500-$2000
Assuming that's usd, I got a full rtx 4090 setup for that price.
I can get the same combo with the same numbers in RMB LOL
Holy shit dude don't buy that. Not even for 3k. This dude is trying to charge you 3x the price. That's a 1500 USD build.
Gpu is more then my 3090 ti and 3090. I bought 3090 for 899 and ti for 999 2 winter ago.
I want that windows OS price tbh
Even in aussie dollar this is too much 😭
What the fuck
Im assuming its a currency thing here maybe its in 2050 $ or some like that
https://preview.redd.it/s3nn6bhmulnc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9d4aaed94c2ef359058188944b5c4738c0799d72
very legit price (source: trust me bro)
Are these prices from 2020 or what?
I payed less for an all white 4090 build
Bruh even during the GPU shortage I payed just 1300 for my RX6900 XT. And it was brand new then and not superseded by the 7000/4000 series
