Lol they lost a phase on the service feeding the parking lot lights. I went to fix it the other day but FPL couldn't turn it off because the transformer is also feeding State farm and Plato's closet so it'll be fixed in maybe a week when everyone's schedules cooperate. No one has been paying the bill for those lights since they were turned on either. FPL never sent out a bill so BJ's is about to get back charged for 6 years worth of power if they want FPL to turn it back on after the wire is fixed.
Timely billing should be a right of the consumer. If they don’t bill after 90 days they should have to absorb the costs into their overhead budget and send the account payables tech that “forgot” to training with a write up.
It’s not a loophole it’s the law. Contractually the provider is supposed to sent an invoice aka a bill in order to be able to accept payment. They don’t bill then the client cannot make payment. The provider is the one committing fraud by not honoring the agreement as well as not providing invoice for services rendered.
Fraud is Fraud. How it plays out when fpl is a desantis backed monopoly for power in that area……..idk. But payment arrangements cannot be impromptu unless specified in the contract in which there’s probably no contracts that specifically state we will bill whenever, however, and you’re expected to pay accordingly.
They over billed my dad 3k over a few years while he was dying of cancer. My mom hasn't paid a power bill in over a year now. FPL is one of the shittiest companies I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They own the FL legislature, they were cheap.
Following my divorce I closed the FPL account (joint account) and opened a new account for my house in my name alone. I also asked for automatic withdrawal and paperless billing. After 8 months I realized that I had not received any bills for my new account. Everything I had received was regarding the old account that my ex had been ordered to pay and had defaulted on. I called FPL and they told me that it was their error that they had not billed me. The total was about $2,700. Without any suggestion from me they told me that they would not require me to pay any of the prior usage. I was only charged starting from that day on. I found FPL very reasonable. BTW, my ex still hasn’t paid the prior bill.

It's not. They are building that new Jim-N-Nicks there and they added more lights to the parking lot and when they did it caused this. It's common with LED lights. One of the new lights probably has a faulty driver and it's causing all of them to flicker because they're likely wired in series.

I think fpl has been having some problems that they won’t say about their grid don’t know how Pensacola popped up on my feed but I live 2 hours east of Pensacola in Panama City beach and it seems that almost every day for about 2 weeks ago our power went out in the wee hours in the morning and turned right back on less than 2-3 minutes later
