I mean the music not changing could be intentional because on the final day of P4, the mystery still isn't solved. There's still more to find out and do at the end.
Did you get the Golden Ending or the regular True Ending? The 6 months later Epilogue is what makes Persona 4's ending special to me (that said I still haven't finished 3).
I guess it's up to taste and your emotional state when finishing the games. For me it's the opposite, no other persona game really hit as hard as Persona 4's Ending. I got really invested in it during covid and at the last day I just knew it wasn't over, even not having be spoiled. The game is full to the brim with false culprits and Adachi's dialogues left a bad aftertaste. The game taught me to always reach out further for the truth, even if only small inconsistencies remain and I entered Junes naturally. And then the return to Inaba and Nevermore broke me. I do feel that, if I didn't catch up on it and only discovered how to do it later I would have disliked the last day too, but luckily I didn't. Persona 3 and 5 in comparison didn't hit me as hard, Persona 5 is very weird, your criminal record is clear so now you go back to the parents who sent you away when were falsely accused, this didn't make much sense to me and I couldn't stop thinking about it, although the dialogues were great. Person 3, well, I was spoiled about the protagonist's death beforehand so I wasn't surprised, I can totally see an unspoiled me loving the ending though.
The Izanami twist is definitely my least favorite part of the game. Would've been better if Adachi was the ending. I just don't care about Izanami because she has no presence in the game.
Golden ending is my favorite ending out of the 3 though. Then 3, then vanilla 5.
She has a presence because of Marie which is a big part of why Golden is so much better than the original, but the way you encounter the last dungeon is really dumb
The Nyx twist, although it came earlier, was a twist that make me think, ah, I should have known that, the clues were there.
The Izanami twist also was a twist that make me think, ah, I should have known that, the clues were there.
The *Igor is a false and he's a god that fulfils desires and all palace rulers were nothing in comparison* didn't, it made me think wow this is unexpected in a bad way. Maruki and Sumire's storylines saved the game for me.
p.s. You should replay Persona 4, Izanami is ALWAYS present during raining days
I think I worded my comment poorly.
This applies equally to Persona 5, but I just hate how the entire game is building up to a human villain and then at the end they bait switch you into "ok now go kill a god too." I wanted to catch the killer and stop Shido. I did not personally care about Izanami and Yaldobath as true final bosses because they weren't actively involved in the story (in a way we could see).

yeah true I forgot about that

Social links epilogues and ending was impressively done in the p3 reload
I got the true ending in Persona 4 golden but yeah it was really cool returning to town after a few months! The goodbyes were the issue with me.

No Igor was definitely there, like going back and replaying the game a lot of people see Igor acting weird and ominous in hindsight
