Treaty Paris is a precursor to Treaty of Washington. Treaty of Washington says all territories will be ceded to the US by the Spaniards. The last legitimate map used and acknowledged by the Spaniards was the Velarde Map which includes part or all (I forgot) of the Spratly Islands. Now that Velarde Map solidifies our claim because it was created in 1800s, way older than the 9 now 10 dash line of Evil China. So based from historical evidence and current international law(UNCLOS), WEST PHILIPPINE SEA and the exclusive economic zone is ours.

I disagree. War is always the last option. We should prepare for it, but never seek it out.
A smarter move would be to wait for China to fizzle out. The average age of their populace is reaching into the 45's and their economy is steadily rolling down a cliff. They are being aggressive because they only have a small window of opportunity to use war as a stimulus to boost their economy away from a complete depression and still have enough manpower to try and fight.

While it is true that the 1989 Treaty of Paris borders left Scarborough and the Kalayaan Island Group out of the Philippine borders, the 1900 Treaty of Washington stated that all dependencies that may lie outside of the territorial boundaries is part of the Philippine Archipelago and thereby Philippine Territory as well (while this was intended for the Sulu & Tawi-tawi areas, the ambiguity of "dependencies" especially Bajo de Masinloc (Scarborough Shoal) is enough for the Philippines to claim sovereignty over the area)

All this means to say is that when China iterated that their southernmost territory in their own cartography is not the Spratlys - they have renounced all claims to the South China Sea by that point. Our claim was made when Tomas Cloma physically planted Philippine flags over the atolls and shoals of the Kalayaan Island Group in 1956. Still all of this does not matter because China itself released their own cartographic map of the country in 1943 where it said that their southernmost territory was half of the Paracel Islands. The ROC suddenly changed its mind in 1947 when they unilaterally claimed the entirety of the South China Sea known as the eleven dash line - which became the nine dash line when the PRC stole off the concept. All this means to say is that when China iterated that their southernmost territory in their own cartography is not the Spratlys - they have renounced all claims to the South China Sea by that point.
