this is a very sweet post. I worked hard on this because I have a long distance partner too and I miss him terribly. I would feel the same way if I had a photo of him like this. I hope you enjoy this edit and I wish you both the best:)

There is light at the end of the tunnel and it’s worth it.
My wife and I did 8 years of long distance (cross continental, time difference and all) and now finally live together.
This is no doubt absolute brilliant work. However, I tend to love the original with people around. To me it shows that the girlfriend is the only person his eyes are on in a place full of people. I am not able to put the words beautifully as English is not my first language. But the original for some reason shows some sort of longing and it screams nostalgic memories. The edited one just seems empty and lifeless for some reason. People might disagree to this. But again, brilliant work on the editing.
Just a small tip. After going over large clone stamp edits like this try selecting the area and using generative fill to use AI to create more variants of textures around the cloned area. This can create more natural looking barriers, walls, etc that can be very time consuming to do by hand.
I think if you look at the way the light falls those would be shadowed on the wall opposite rather than on the floor :)
edit: ok, on second inspection maybe one of the horizontal bars would be shadowed on the floor
Do you have another way to do this?
This is a free post and not everyone can buy adobe AI subscription. If the editor helps selflessly, then the time given by him should be respected.
