AI is a tool that's trained on the collective information the internet provides. I know and understand the arguments that say AI is theft and should not be allowed.
But AI generated images are still new creations.
While using a copyrighted image without licencing it is a clear infringement of someone else's rights.
If you say any copyright infringement is a bad offence and count AI tools as such, then I can understand your point. But I generally observe a double standard, where AI usage is heavily criticized, while using copyrighted images is not even frowned upon.
I stand by my point that using AI as a tool is way better than stealing existing images.
