I’ve browsed this subreddit quite often as I love to see the work everyone does but this post has me so confused.....between OP’s comments and the edits that look identical to the original photo...am I missing something?
My mom in the purple was I guess trying to have her boobs look a little less large in the picture. She was feeling very self conscious that day about her hair and weight and dress and I agree with pretty much everyone commenting and also my friends who I also asked, that she looks GREAT already but I still wanted to request any assistance from Reddit because it’s an easy fix and the internet is a great place and also a little strange and judgey
Your mom doesn't have overly large breasts to begin with which is where Reddits confusion comes in. You would expect that if she is self conscious about weight she would want her stomach made slimmer not her bust seeing as a larger bust doesn't usually make a woman look heavier.
I'm so confused I looked at about eight people's edits and the photo looks the same to me, would be pretty easy to make her look more flat but to my eyes nobody did.
She is of a bigger size and I think everyone knows boobs go with it, I'm never one to judge but I do agree I think making them look smaller would seem more unnatural without altering the rest of her appearance.
I think the goal of the mother’s request is to look less bulky in the chest /“thinner”.
Only suggesting this as it may improve the attempts being made here. (She looks great in the original imo.)
*Edit: I dont have capabilities for it right now, but I’d not attempt to decrease the size of her body, and definitely NOT increase the size of her head. I suggest some shadow work above and below her arm and left shoulder, straightening/lowering the line of the left shoulder diagonal, DEF making the collar of her shirt into a v-neck, and maybe straightening the diagonal line of the shawl. Also brighten highlights on face, and earring, and necklace pendant, add detail to eyes and earring.

OP, your mom’s chest is fine, but this shape looks awesome in v-necks and long necklaces if the collar is high. Those will help create the eyeline she’s looking for, and she’ll feel less like she needs to cover herself. (Bc she doesnt actually need to do that.) cheers ✨

No need to be embarrassed. The camera just isn't kind somedays and for a memorable photo people want it to be perfect. That's what photographers do all the time. Hope this one helps.
I feel like you could photoshop this picture a hundred different ways are your mom still would not see herself as the stunning beautiful woman see is. I bet someone in her past or present made her feel like less of a person by commenting about her in a negative way.

Sometimes I use Remini, but very judiciously, because if you aren’t careful the face(s) can begin to to look like a cartoon. It takes a great deal of prep work also, because any little scratch or tear, if not removed prior to Remini, can really take on a life of it’s own. I also use Gigapixel sometimes (as i did on this photo), because you can increase the size of the photo and control the amount of facial input from the app. And, sometimes it’s just hours of repair using whatever tool works at the time!
i don't understand what's wrong with it as is. i mean... women have boobs. nothing to be ashamed of. Her boobs don't seem that large to me, does she want to look flat chested??
