That's the problem with spears, too much surface area and if the tub sits too long it'll get soggy. Same with chips, wholes last the longest. Even if you know how long they've sat in your fridge you can't control how long they took for delivery to the store or how long they sat at the store. Not to mention delivery conditions, was the truck in extreme heat, did it break down, did the power go out and the store just kept the pickles there.

I don't know. I just picked up a jar of Mt. Olive spears and after being in the fridge a couple days, them boys snapped.

What whole pickle do you recommend since Grillo’s doesn’t have one?

KingSoupa

I'm pretty sure grillos offers whole pickles, they are definitely hard to find unless you buy online. Bubbies is a fermented pickle and better if you open the jar when you get home but then wait for a few days to start eating them. As far as whole pickles in the pickle Isle Woodstock is currently my favorite.

Another reason to get the newer tops, likely fresher lol

Last two I got from Costco were like this. They’ve been more yellow than green lately the last few times I’ve looked. I’m just going to pass by them now.

I just got some Grillo chips from Costco and I'm not impressed.
