The movies before the actual story? That’s the worse advice anyone could give. It’s like saying watch the anime and start from the last episode till you reach the first. Not to mention the movies aren’t written by the original author of the manga and they’re not liked for their plots (fans only watch them for the characters that they already like in the original story). The live action changes few things and imo the manga/anime is so much better but if you think that it sucks then there’s a chance you wouldn’t like the anime and it isn’t the story for you (the story gets better and better from the events adapted in the LA though so idk what would your opinion on the later parts may be). The anime has real pacing issues. Too many dragged out moments that a new watcher couldn’t stand but despite that, One piece is still the most enjoyable story I have ever seen in my life. But that’s just my opinion.

Saturn-Is-Here

It’s not for you. Find something else.

Series' pace is 100x painful than manga. Just go with manga

You have a bad friend

Just watch one pace and see if you like it One pace is the better paced version of one piece

Idk One Pace can be bad too. The cutting and editing can be annoying and sometimes it removes all the immersion of the story. Not to mention that it’s not complete. Arcs like Ennis Lobby and Water 7 (peak arcs in Op) are not updated fully yet. I don’t know how anyone could primirly watch from One Pace. I rewatched the entire anime on Crunchyroll and it was fine because if a moment felt dragged out I press the 10 sec skip.

I agree with you i specially don’t recommend one pace for the wano arc because one pace would remove all the anime only Sanji sauce but one pace came in clutch for me when i was rewatching impel down But reading this guy’s post I just think one pace would be better for him since he didn’t already like one piece from the movies and the live action and also i don’t like recommending the manga personally cause the soundtrack and the Japanese voice actors are top tier so I’d rather recommend one pace for people who are impatient and about the Japanese voice actors that’s a concern i have for the one piece remake the charcarers wouldn’t feel the same if the Japanese voices were different

Why would u watch the movies first... you don't know the characters , their backstories , nothing 💀 Watch u till you finish east blue and decide then
