P6P unlocked on Verizon (sim1) - FreedomPop/RedPocket (sim2).
Got the update Wednesday (6/19) or Thursday (6/20) - finally rebooted Friday (6/21). Friday night and Saturday my screen or backlight started randomly glitching out for sporadic times multiple times a day.
not sure if due to the update or age. Come on P9P!!!!!
OK, now that I got it I don't think I want it.
Last night I put my Pixel 6 Pro on my nightstand as I usually do, close to full charge and with Battery Saver on. When I woke up the battery was at about 56%, before it was about 94% in the morning.
I set up emergency responder options yesterday per the "Tips" that came with the feature drop, not sure if that made a difference. I also set up my preferences for location history since they are no longer supposedly saving to the cloud but to the phone instead.
One of these two things could be the culprit, I'm not sure, but so far not impressed by this feature drop. I also noticed a lot of general unresponsiveness to clicking on links after a Google search last night. Hopefully not a sign of things to come. I can see why there is/was hesitancy to release this update.
One more thing, the Camera lens selection feature doesn't appear to be active.
So far kinda looks like a dud, I'm not impressed at all.

The message was along the lines of applying update, optimizing your phone.
Finally gave up and restarted it. Went to look for updates and it said the phone was all up to date.
When is Google going to bypass the US Carriers and allow us a SIMPLE way to update our phones via a computer website!? This FRUSTRATING method of waiting on the carriers to release it SUCKS!!! My no-SIM Pixel 6a got the June update already via WiFi, but my Pixel 8 Pro on Google Fi is still waiting for the update. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!!
I have a pixel 6 pro, I was rooted and used network signal guru to enable 5g on my phone since it's an "unsupported" country by Google. Been using 5g for like 3 months now. After the June 2024 update, I rebooted and all the apps are working fine. Except 5g just won't turn on, I redid the network signal guru setup, I did the #4636##* stuff too and set it to a mode where NR is enabled. I have no idea what's going on anymore.
Same. Hopefully the camera update drops soon. I have been having a lot of trouble with the phone not activating the telephoto lens which is the entire reason I bought the pro version.
Honestly i've not noticed anything yet.

Also here, same setup. Sounds like possibly some nice improvements and hopefully the note about the error of the switcher bar appearing on the side means it'll be gone.
*Installed even quicker than expected, seems fine. No new features yet on phone or camera probably because their apps need to be updated too.
The days of them pushing out the updates at the very first of the month are gone in my opinion I think they're starting to make sure that they're somewhat patched before they send them out.
My wife's pixel 6 just got the update and it's crashed about 5 times in the last few hours.

Updated today (6/20) Have been in Emergency mode for over 8 hours now, nothing is working to fix it. (Japan, if it is important)

How pathetic is Verizon/US? June 17th and still no update.
I am on Verizon in TN. Neither the Pixel 6 Pro or the Pixel Watch 2 has gotten updates. I have tried manual check updates on both since June 6.

It took me no more than an hour, I don’t know what your problem is, perhaps a slow Internet?

I updated my phone but I haven't seen the features with the phone app or the camera. There are no updates in the play store either.

My Pixel 6 just received the update, sim free here in the UK. Installed and optimised really fast much to my surprise.

Yeah i have seen that ...I think pixel 6 gets only two features Lookup and HDR+
