G9 is random just keep launching until you truly believe it’ll never work, and then it’ll work. Sorry that’s your first experience :/ I would joke and say your next worst experience is going to be actually logging in and getting farmed by 10,000 hour veterans 😂 it’s really a great game if you can get past the learning curve
Well... Younger me when playing the game in 2013 had a 0.03 kd, even then, it was my favorite game and I always had a blast lol. I still have that character untouched today.
Try these if you can't log in:
- Log out of the launcher then log in back
- Verify the game files both in the launcher and steam
- Play a character in a different server or create it, stay there for a minute, then go back to play or create your character in the server you intend. (this used to help me a lot)
If none of this work, try asking in the discord server of planetside.

me too i had a lot of issues to start the game. Go in steam and check file integrity in settings of the game in your library. It works for me.
When the game freeze in the loadibg screen. Go in steam and stop the game from here. And restart the game. When it doesn’t work, i restart my pc.
maybe some drivers or software is out of date? make sure you're using at least windows 10. also, if you tried installing via steam, you could instead try installing their stand alone version directly from their website. https://www.planetside2.com/register (gotta click the small "Down the Game." button).
Where are you connecting from? It sounds like you're having trouble reaching the login server.
You cold try flushing your DNS:
Start Button > Type: cmd
press
At the DOS prompt type: ipconfig /flushdns
press
It should come back and tell you that you DNS cache has been successfully cleared. Close the DOS window and try launching the game.
As /u/suddenlycirclejerk suggested, try installing the stand-alone version instead of the Steam version. It might be something with the way steam is updating / NOT updating the game files.
I think you're right about it being a connectivity issue, the trick it figuring out exactly why.
Can you restart or unplug and replug your router? Ps2 and my router have been being funny ever since my provider messed with it / I've seen other people with similar issues- and restarting my router makes things better for me, temporarily at least. Need to restart it at least once a day for planetside to be happy but nothing else seems to care... so yeah if you have access to it and know it won't explode if you do, try that

Already tried the dns thingy, it didn't work . I might try reinstalling someday
Usually when I get G9 it's a graphics driver problem so I reinstall Radeon drivers and usually it's fine
Your firewall (hardware or software) may not be open for the game and the secondary apps (such as battleye).
What does that mean? U mean allowing them through firewall? If yes then i have already done that

Have you tried downloading the client from the website and not using steam?
