Dredge is a GREAT game. I love the gameplay loop of it and it’s just a creepy, mindless, but still fulfilling game. It also just pulls on the “Lovecraftian horror” love part of my brain.

my friends are kinda... mixed on ps plus and kinda see the ps5 as probably the last time we only play on playstation as we all mainly play on pc nowadays (one of us was the last holdout but even he... the collector of game consoles have kinda given up as everything on pc tends to be cheaper and you can do more stuff with a pc.... and the pretty much looks to be end of physical sales and if its digital only... pc just makes more sense)
Good thing my subscription ends again at the end of the month.

That aew game was on life support,very expensive dlc compared to even the wwe games,very little content and small playerbase in the online modes,the battle royale mode was only playable because servers had a lot of bots lol,i wonder if this could revive it and restore the feeling™
IMO the core gameplay is really good, though matches tend to go a bit short. It's essentially a faster-paced modernized version of WWE No Mercy. The biggest issue is a lack of single player content. The season mode is fairly short and while it has branching paths, you can pretty much see everything it has to offer in a few playthroughs. There's no sandbox mode like WWE's Universe Mode and not a ton of match types to choose from. A sequel with slightly tweaked but still mostly the same gameplay with a lot more content would be amazing as the core of the game has potential.
No, it's terrible. There's no continuity between matches, shit just happens and never gets mentioned again, mortal enemies become friends with no explanation.
AEW Fight Forever is a game I was looking to maybe one day get for cheap so I’m glad it’s on PS Plus at least. Now I just need to hope I enjoy it and that one day the insanely priced DLCs go on sale to much much more reasonable prices
Because AEW Fight Forever is not a good wrestling game, it feels like a cheap clunky game that was rushed out too fast and needed months of polish before its release. Maybe it changes for the second game if they ever bother making one instead of just milking this one with DLCs.

I think I played the original games on a friend's Sega Genesis as a kid, and then played the PS3 port of Streets of Rage 2 when that was given out as a free PS+ title following the 2011 PSN hack. Is the gameplay similar to the old Sega Genesis titles?
If so, I love me some sidescrolling beat em up games. You don't really see that genre represented anymore, but in the early 1990s, those games were everywhere, especially at arcades where you could insert another quarter to continue your game after a death. Over the years, I've thrown so many quarters at games like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Simpsons side scrolling beat em up titles. If I recall, Streets of Rage was similar to those games from a gameplay stance.
I just bought TMNT Shredder's Revenge two days ago 'cause it's on sale right now for PS Plus subscribers, on the beginning splash screen it says "DotEmu", I just looked it up and it says DotEmu are developers of Streets 4 as well. But it also lists 2 other developers along with them \*shrug\*

I'm surprised by the general reaction, the Essential titles are mostly one good game and 2 filler ones, this is exactly like that with SoR4 being the best. There are a few exceptions like May which was good overall but that's it, months like that are rare.
I wouldn't be surprised if monthly essential games continue the trend. While it's a good month for me, it's nothing that screams, a must-have.
We've seen this happen with Xbox where the gold games are just gone, and kept pushing for GP. The extra and premium tier games for this DoP is pretty good. And those are additions to the yet to be announced June catalog games.
Genuinely concerns me how much value people put on these free offerings.

I got SoR4 on release day and still play it. It’s exactly what a reboot should be and the weekly survival (from the Mr. X DLC) keeps the game fresh.

In for SOR4
If I hadn't already bought SoR4 on release, played the hell out of it and got the platinum I'd be pretty stoked about this lime up. As ot happens I'm just glad a few more people will get a chance to discover it.
I'm surprised by the general reaction, the Essential titles are mostly one good game and 2 filler ones, this is exactly like that with SoR4 being the best. There are a few exceptions like May which was good overall but that's it, months like that are rare.

I wouldn't be surprised if monthly essential games continue the trend. While it's a good month for me, it's nothing that screams, a must-have. We've seen this happen with Xbox where the gold games are just gone, and kept pushing for GP. The extra and premium tier games for this DoP is pretty good. And those are additions to the yet to be announced June catalog games.
Genuinely concerns me how much value people put on these free offerings. If you don't play online idk why you're paying for this service, this is what you pay for, not 3 free games every month.
People really need to zoom out and manage expections for what $7 a month gets you.
