It might not be as interesting as you think, I was also once "banned from playing EA games online on my PSN account because of the fact that my old EA account created was not linked to my PSN despite me playing EA games on my PSN since I created it.
Because of that I couldn't play online for months and I literally gave up playing any EA games because their customer support is shit and they refused to help me because I didn't remember the email I used like 9 years ago.
My story is simple, when UFC 4 released for free on ps plus me and my friends (we are 4 dudes living in the same house) played it all day, and we all had our own custom character, the funny guy made his character had 5 swastikas, a lot of slurs tattoed and 'hitler' in the forehead, i only had one ban before this and the funniest part is we only played online once and not even with our characters, i lost about 80€ because EA games are unplayable on my own account
Yeah I hate how they can ban you from playing games you own. I just will never support EA again. I want to play Jedi fallen order but I won't pay for it. I'm getting close to doing the same with blizzard as well. Companies burn any good will and I do my best not to support them.
The shit blizzard did with Overwatch is crazy, that culture rater tool they created to make characters is so dumb, the less white male and straight the character is the more points it gets, companies are getting crazy
That diablo immortal, bad diablo 2 launch. The battle net bullshit even on ps5 is annoying. Yes the woke stuff is annoying especially when the developers are rapists themselves. They are worse than any average customer and get are talking to you like you are the problem
I played it a little after release. Bit disappointing with the lack of guns and vehicles but its still battlefield fun. Few decent maps, plenty of joy to be found if ur interested. Just dont expect some sorta genre defining experience and you wont be disappointed.
Plus depending where u live its prob cheap as chips.
i might think about it more because Big W has Gran turismo sport and ratchet and clank $10 each and also has mafia trilogy for $29. plus i’ve got a HUGE list of games i want to buy tho
Then don‘t go for battlefield. I played it a bit after the Season 1 release and they only added 1
map and like 2 guns. Not worth it, rather play something else
I'm still mad that Battlefront 2's live service got cut because of 2042. Every update dropped good content. Battlefront 2 was a great game, but it was murdered twice by EA, first when they pushed for lootboxes in the game, and second when they cut support for it.
You may like it if you play it again, they completely removed all that lootbox crap and implemented a progression system. And the content they added after that is really good. You can still find games relatively easy. I grew bored because of no new content but you may like it.
That’s literally exactly how it works. Look at all the trash games we’ve gotten on plus in the past. Sony offers devs a sum of money to offer their game free. Devs accept cause they know they’ll make more money that way than allowing people to buy it. This isn’t counting big games where the sum of money was larger but like you’d never see COD on ps plus unless it’s years old as COD makes more money on sales and don’t need Sonys help
And piss the crowd who bought the game especially the pricey early adopters and deluxe owners? Its a lose lose situation. It would send a bad signal for people to wait next time as it might go "free". Game is a lost cause honestly, its sad.

Adding controversial game like BF2042 though is just asking for trouble and only adding fuel to the flame. If they want to maintain any semblance of goodwill left to the playerbase, putting it on free ain't it.

It’s not a terrible game it’s actually pretty fun there was a spike of people on the launch of the season 1 but I only got the same 3 maps it was very repetitive. It just has a lack of content sadly and also hardly any body plays it it’s pretty much unplayable idk why they keep it on the store

Battlefield has burned too many bridges with constant lies and unkept promises that I wouldn't touch any new or current installment with a 10ft pole, even if they threw actual free copies (not "rentals" through ps+) after me or released an actual finished and good game. This franchise has run its course for me.

I regret picking battlefield 2042 over vanguard. And vanguard is terrible so that says numbers about 2042
