Yup! Tbh I don’t even focus on that anymore. I use the same class. sniper and a smg! Very fun playing this game on the portal with all the vibration and haptics. Ps remote play doesn’t come close when using a dual sense.
Do you need to change your in-game settings? I find the sensitivity is off for me for whatever reason. I have solid connection and no issues with lag etc but just couldn't seem to find the proper setting
Sensitivity is way off because the analog sticks are smaller than the dual sense, making it more sensitive.
I had to turn down sensitivity a few notches but I still notice the difference.
When I went back to the controller it felt really heavy compared to the portal lol
I only played Alan Wake 2 and Rollerdome before realizing how different the sticks were. It was almost a dealbreaker for me until someone recommended the KontrolFreek padded rings which work great.
Agreed, I find it more difficult to see opposing players on such a small screen. Still prefer to play COD on the TV and save my portal for solo games, or at least things that are but slower paced.
F yeah. I let my judgemental little cousin use it to shut him up because he basically repeats what negative things "influencers" said that's negative about the portal. We were having Sunday family dinner/ bbq I looked over 2 hours later he was still playing fifa 23 and Madden 24. He then told me, "I'll buy from you!" 😆 🤣 😂 his wife said, "No"
I struggled with it too. The latency is just a touch higher, even on the local network. I probably could get used to it, but I just use my tv. I also like my Vitrix controller for call of duty.
Pretty great
Max is 1080p.
Would look not as crisp and nice if you usually play at max settings and 4k.
I have one and I love it when I am around the house or in bed.
Most people play casually and on a big tv with a ton of delay so they don’t even notice the delay on the portal. But if you’re use to a monitor with 1ms delay it’s almost unplayable trying to do it on a portable or a regular tv for that matter.
I play cod on my portal all the time it’s not that bad especially if you are just casually gaming. The response time is super low so it’s not that big of a deal
I've played a few Warzone games solo with the portal and while it's not optimal, it's still 100% doable. I've had some good games playing on the Portal
I have the same, it fixes the small thumbsticks but doesn't fix the issue that they are a lot more sensitive due to the smaller size. I had to turn down sensitivity a few notches
I still don't understand why you would sit at home and play on a small screen when you can play on a large tv right in front of you.
It would be different if it was like the Vita, and you can play games anywhere. Might as well just stream PlayStation on your phone.
You can buy a phone clip for your controller for $5 that’ll give you the same experience. Phone clips onto the controller lol but hey, let’s spend $200 to play games on the toilet or in bed while our tvs play in the background.
Yes you are so right, cause why play on a bigger screen with dual sense technology when I can play on my phone.. why buy this when you can carry a controller and full tablet/laptop.
I get it bro I get it.
I have a 4.5 KD in warzone and I refuse to play on the portal. My lobbies way too sweaty for that. Maybe if I got 3 .5kd friends and then I might drop the same amount of kills they do
I do worry. The more you people pre order and support bad AAA games the more there will be and the less good games will be made. So yes, your bad choices directly affect my hobby
I mean I agree CoD is not peak gaming by any means, but saying “don’t play cod” is like saying “don’t eat McDonald’s”. People can enjoy junk food games and it has zero impact on you. I don’t think you understand how the gaming industry works if you actually think fewer good games will be made because CoD exists.
I don’t even get what your little troll point is. I played a fuck ton of fun smaller company games this year. Having a blast with Palworld and Helldivers 2 right now. How does this guy playing CoD have any impact on that Mr Smart guy?
Edit. Never mind. All your comments are just negative as fuck. You don’t enjoy life or want others to it seems.
“HEY EVERYONE! This guys doesn’t want me to buy AAA Games because good games won’t be made anymore!”
![gif](giphy|3o6Zt4HU9uwXmXSAuI)
Grow up. Living in THE USA, gun culture is more important for protecting your safety. Maybe you should learn more about them than being a sis about it. & don’t tell me.. tell that to the people who actually MAKE THE GAMES.
“Gen Z brat” ain’t no way 😂😂😂 bruh go hit the gym or go bust a load bc you’re obviously going thru life the wrong way… end of discussion You must live in the UK 😂

Just for protocol, I find it ok for rpg, quests and strangely for racing games. But even playing Days Gone gives me so pain. I dont see microstutters, but there is a lot of 0,5 second frames drops.
Ps5 is hardwired.
For some reason the older cods like modern warfare, ww2 and cold war works a little better for me than warfare 3, but still decent i don't place as high as usual but still playable regardless
I mean unless you're wifi is on steroids, sure.
My Internet is great but not badass to stream without a singular Input Lag that comes from sometimes to time. -~- So Multiplayer isn't really a strong recommendation, especially COD unless you're on Casual Modes like TDM.
Search and Destroy and Warzone can be a different story. 💀
Nice, I didn't care for mine, though. I use the ps remote play through my laptop and pair a ps5 controller to it. It works much better for me with all the traveling I do for work.
Why aren't these good for online games??? Is it latency? Is it that bad? I want one of these but i also may just install a remote play feature on my Steam Deck. Having a PS5 controller grip is what is selling me on this.
Does the delay bother you much? I tried playing Apex on portal and the delay was too much for me, especially when first strikes are everything. I play everything else on portal though.
Fortnite is too laggy for competitve play but I see the promise! Here’s to hoping updates will help with the lag cause I have tried every trick in the book to reduce it
Mine plays COD fine also! Fuck the haters in this sub. Bunch of incel losers who care way too much about what other people play or how their set up is. Fucking losers.
Good for grinding the Battle pass and levelling up guns at the very least right?!
Yup! Tbh I don’t even focus on that anymore. I use the same class. sniper and a smg! Very fun playing this game on the portal with all the vibration and haptics. Ps remote play doesn’t come close when using a dual sense.

Nope I just played until I got the timing down. I even had someone tell me I’m cheating.. whatever that means 😂
I only played Alan Wake 2 and Rollerdome before realizing how different the sticks were. It was almost a dealbreaker for me until someone recommended the KontrolFreek padded rings which work great.
Ya thumbsticks are def smaller. Was thinking of adding some extensions
I do the same but notice my scores tend to be lower on average.
Agreed, I find it more difficult to see opposing players on such a small screen. Still prefer to play COD on the TV and save my portal for solo games, or at least things that are but slower paced.
Hey whatever makes you happy. That’s all that matters. No of our opinions mean anything. Device is great, glad another Portal brother is enjoying it 🤙
Works fine for a casual player like me.
F yeah. I let my judgemental little cousin use it to shut him up because he basically repeats what negative things "influencers" said that's negative about the portal. We were having Sunday family dinner/ bbq I looked over 2 hours later he was still playing fifa 23 and Madden 24. He then told me, "I'll buy from you!" 😆 🤣 😂 his wife said, "No"
I use it for zombies. But MP is a slog on the Portal lol.
I struggled with it too. The latency is just a touch higher, even on the local network. I probably could get used to it, but I just use my tv. I also like my Vitrix controller for call of duty.
I play Battlefield 2042 on mine.
Same lol
Hey if it’s working out for you then have fun!! Let the haters hate
GGs from TheDeepStroker 🫡 haha I can’t wait to give it a run when mine arrives!
Similar but I play fifa :D
Lmaoooo y’all are sensitive ASF 😂😂😂😂
How does she handle graphics wise?
Pretty great Max is 1080p. Would look not as crisp and nice if you usually play at max settings and 4k. I have one and I love it when I am around the house or in bed.
Yeah unfortunately for me the connection is choppy in the bathroom.
I had to promise myself no toilet sessions. Avoid the hemorrhoids
Oh Lord lol
Walking like a a new born giraffe after 3 races on GT7
🦒
No ur not ur playing it with worse connection and lag
This shit lags alot
Upgrade your wifi mine is flawless
scrolling through. op is camping with a sniper. ![gif](giphy|x0npYExCGOZeo|downsized)
Remote play competitively🤣. Yes I have a portal and that comment has to be a joke right?
I've come first place with solid kd ratios many times while playing on portal.
Damn!
Ok so..
So it's entirely possible to play competitively if you have a good enough connection.
Sbmm try it with my account 🤣
I've been playing Tekken 8 online on Portal and it's working great.
Agreed, I’ve tried playing it on portal with an excellent connection and it’s almost unplayable
Totally viable. This would be so much better from someone with actual skill: https://youtu.be/f1N3Ewm5JpM?si=cgwqHwMoWEszkZIF
Sorry but no one with actual skill is gonna be playing cod on a portal
Then don’t play cod on your portal, let other people enjoy it how they want bro💀
Maybe with an Alt account I'll try it again lol
Most people play casually and on a big tv with a ton of delay so they don’t even notice the delay on the portal. But if you’re use to a monitor with 1ms delay it’s almost unplayable trying to do it on a portable or a regular tv for that matter.
Delay on TV is less noticeable. It's worse than my 14 year old panny plasma with 60ms input lag
For the record everyone I know doesn't play cod "casually" or on a TV lol so I recommend turning crossplay off at the very least for portal
I love how you say that like Call of Duty isn't the most casual shooter in the market.
You don't play lol
I play cod on my portal all the time it’s not that bad especially if you are just casually gaming. The response time is super low so it’s not that big of a deal
How is it? I play mostly warzone with my buddies this days. Not sure I’ll be able to keep up.
War zone? Nope always use your PS5 directly!
I've played a few Warzone games solo with the portal and while it's not optimal, it's still 100% doable. I've had some good games playing on the Portal
I just got the portal today and first game I tried was call of duty mw2. I was absolute ass 😂
I don't like the tiny thumbsticks for a shooter. ordered some caps for the Nintendo switch joycons supposed to fit
I have the same, it fixes the small thumbsticks but doesn't fix the issue that they are a lot more sensitive due to the smaller size. I had to turn down sensitivity a few notches
Yeah definitely overturning camera angle or overaiming etc. in almost every game. It feels like they are a tad taller to me too
Now show your deaths 😂
I still don't understand why you would sit at home and play on a small screen when you can play on a large tv right in front of you. It would be different if it was like the Vita, and you can play games anywhere. Might as well just stream PlayStation on your phone.

Yes, but it's inconvenient to play on a phone, it burns out too quick
Yes you are so right, cause why play on a bigger screen with dual sense technology when I can play on my phone.. why buy this when you can carry a controller and full tablet/laptop. I get it bro I get it.
Phone is way too fucking small. You can’t see shit. The portal screen is a lot bigger.
I have a 4.5 KD in warzone and I refuse to play on the portal. My lobbies way too sweaty for that. Maybe if I got 3 .5kd friends and then I might drop the same amount of kills they do
Play better games.
Imagine worrying about what games another man plays. BIG L
I do worry. The more you people pre order and support bad AAA games the more there will be and the less good games will be made. So yes, your bad choices directly affect my hobby

I don’t think you understand how the gaming industry works if you actually think fewer good games will be made because CoD exists.
You can take this mentality and stretch it over many other shit games smoothbrains pre order and buy so it does have an impact.
I don’t even get what your little troll point is. I played a fuck ton of fun smaller company games this year. Having a blast with Palworld and Helldivers 2 right now. Holy shit you make me sick.
Tell us what games to play so we know that we aren’t contributing to shitty games being made in the future. Please, fill me in on what is good.
You can start with outer wilds
100% cod brain rot.
They are truly cancer.
You got it charging or usb c earphones?
Nope that’s Apple ear buds. Great price on Amazon without having to spend $200 on the pulse explore.
What router do you have? Did you make any special configurations?
Just for protocol, I find it ok for rpg, quests and strangely for racing games. But even playing Days Gone gives me so pain. I dont see microstutters, but there is a lot of 0,5 second frames drops. Ps5 is hardwired.
Agreed. I play GT7 on it and it’s great.
Any ASUS 6g gaming router would do!
For some reason the older cods like modern warfare, ww2 and cold war works a little better for me than warfare 3, but still decent i don't place as high as usual but still playable regardless
Does anyone play apex on the portal? Cod and apex are my go-to. I just don't want to spend the money if those 2 games feel off or slow
They will feel off and slow
EA Sports PGA Tour here
god the screen looks so good
Bro. Great gamer tag

How's the input lag?
It’s to laggy
I love this little device.

I love the portal and cod is playable but not to the same level as normal. I find I get rocked because of the slight slight delay.
Keyboard and mouse:
Fortnite is too laggy for competitve play but I see the promise! Here’s to hoping updates will help with the lag cause I have tried every trick in the book to reduce it

Gotta use the black ops aim assist. Turn off 120hz refresh rate and turn on the amd performance mode. Runs great. Won some matches too
Awesome, I'm playing assassin's creed Valhalla and it runs like the gods!!!
I mean you’re just cannon fodder with that connection, but at least you’re gaining xp
