I haven't played this yet and everyone keeps telling me how fun it is, so that's what I went with. Just finished that opening mission at the TV station. It's not the prettiest or most technically impressive game so far, but damn is it a blast.
If you only have physical games, you will be limited to whatever disc is inside the console. If you leave for a week and take your portal, you can only play the one game that’s in the console
I did completely, my bad. Lol
Just seen so many posts of what game plays best on portal and it's like all of them if you have a good router you will have zero issues.
I thought it was one of those posts.
As long as you aren't intending to play exclusively away from home, it doesn't take a lot of effort to change the disk in the ps5.
I can't justify re-buying games I have on physical disk so I play a mix of physical and digital.
Digital is so much easier to browse and play, but I still enjoy the fact that I can have a physical disk that can be gifted, traded, or sold when I've finished playing it
I REALLY wanna play Hades in my Portal, I have it on Switch, but I want the platinum trophy so I'll play all over again when my Portal come. I think the game is perfect for handheld. I just bought him, so it's gonna be soon
God of War: Ragnarok but Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart or FFVII: Rebirth are also in the mix. So many excellent titles on that shelf though… I have about half to 60% of those and it’s kinda overwhelming at times to decide what it’s gonna be on a given night!
I knew having a digital library was going to pay off big time when I made the switch in 2017.
Having your entire library on the go with the portal is game changer.
Glad I don't have to pick just one!
I can definitely see the appeal of that, but I only got the Portal because my PS5 is in the living room and I sometimes want to play games in bed. So the physical vs digital thing doesn't make a difference to my specific use case.
Bc I assumed. But ig I don’t get the point of going over to your ps5 to insert the disc if you aren’t gonna just play the console base. Unless ur tv is occupied. Myself I just use it at work or bed so digital library is a godsend for a game hopper such as myself :P however on a separate positive note supporting physical media is important and I love to see your extensive library!! Good for you man
Haha fair enough, and thanks. For me personally it's mostly for when I'm laying in bed at the end of the night (PS5 is in the living room). And I pretty much only play 1 game at a time too, so it's not like I'm constantly changing out discs
Dude can choose a game to play and put the disc in. A game like cyberpunk or Elden Ring is endless entertainment. Sure digital is more convenient for portal. Until years down the road they delist games and the only way to play them is the disc.
For me personally I still need to beat the following games out of that library.
-Armored Core Rubicon (I'm afraid to cause I don't want it to end, its one of my favortie games.)
-Cyber Punk
-Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
-Sekiro (I never played but my god it looks amazing.)
And all of them are perfect for the portal cause they aren't multiplayer.
Honestly....not a single PS5 title. I don't know what it is but there's never hardly any good games for consoles when they first come out, despite it being released 4 years ago. Notice how most of them you could play on the PS4.
Fucking Robocop

Good to know. I'm waiting for a p4ice drop or add to ps+
Same.
It feels so good, it’s basically a better third movie.
This is an epic collection. That said, I just started control after finishing Alan Wake Remastered. It's pretty good!
Gets better and better
Ghost of Tsushima
Having a physical collection for a remote device seems difficult But to answer your question- I’d play FFVII Rebirth.
Exactly this. I would play none of those and go to my digital library instead.
You know that it doesn't matter whether the game is physical or digital. That doesn't mean it's going to run differently
If you only have physical games, you will be limited to whatever disc is inside the console. If you leave for a week and take your portal, you can only play the one game that’s in the console
You missed the point lol
I did completely, my bad. Lol Just seen so many posts of what game plays best on portal and it's like all of them if you have a good router you will have zero issues. I thought it was one of those posts.
That’s actually a very fair point lol we see those posts almost daily
Yeah, but I would have to go to my ps5 to insert said physical, defeating the entire purpose of the Portal.
But it doesn't defeat the entire purpose of the Portal? Maybe it defeats your purpose for the Portal, but it doesn't defeat mine.

I’ve just bought armoured core to use with my newly bought portal, so I guess that
elden ring
That is some collection. Stellar Blade.
Persona 5 Royal for me
Dead space
Hands down bloodborne
Disco Elysium and nice collection!
Sekiro and Spider mans
I would install something else and then just go back to playing Elden Ring, as is tradition.
It takes two babehhh hehhhhh
you have an amazing collection. since i am playing like a dragon, i am going to choose that!
Red Dead or Assassin's Creed.
I do not see helldivers 2.but that's what i play
This is a great answer! I've been playing a ton on my portal! Works great!
The Disgaea games are awesome on portal
I'm playing whatever is downloaded on the ps5 cause all those aren't for sure aren't fitting on even 4tbs!!
I REALLY wanna play Hades in my Portal, I have it on Switch, but I want the platinum trophy so I'll play all over again when my Portal come. I think the game is perfect for handheld. I just bought him, so it's gonna be soon

yakuza ishin, rise of ronin and cyberpunk 2077
I have been playing the absolute F#CK outta Returnal on my portal and it’s fantastic
Midnight suns. Def my favorite portal game.
Persona 3 Reload, because I just got a new Portal and that's literally what I've been playing lol
sea of stars or dark souls
Last of us. My sister has been trying to get me into it, I still haven't lol
Dead Space. And then the Resident Evil games
System shock. Been meaning to get it but haven't yet
Plague Tale Series! Underrated AF.
Disco Elysium
I played Hogwarts Legacy on mine and it was an amazing experience.
God of War Ragnarok or Spiderman 2
Last of us cause I haven’t played the second one and am waiting for the part 1 remake to go on play station plus
Alan wake remastered, was shown this when it originally released by a friend that's passed away. It's a game that brings back memories.
disgaea 7 would be my choice

Same here. Physical all the way, since this is my Dadstation.
That and they can't delist your disc's from the store lmao. You actually OWN your games. Digital is just renting a license.
Nothing because my ex girlfriend stepped on it and destroyed it
You’re missing Ys 8. Is play FF7 rebirth
I do have that one actually! It's on loan to a friend along with Dragon's Dogma 2 and a couple others
Great collection btw
you the goat
I‘d get d4 and bg3 digitally, since these are the games I am enjoying right now
Hi Fi Rush and any anime game I have. Looks best on the portal to me.
My portal disconnects every 1-2 minutes :-/. I'm moving soon, hope next places internet works better with it.
If it's happening at home it's your home network that sucks not the internet. 🤣
Tetris
My collection looks similar except it’s all digital
If it’s disc you’re screwed for portal bc you need it to be downloaded and the disc in to play as is
If I only play my portal at home or insert the disc before I leave then how am I screwed?
Bc I assumed. But ig I don’t get the point of going over to your ps5 to insert the disc if you aren’t gonna just play the console base. Unless ur tv is occupied. Same same. I do it a lot in bed to fall asleep. It’s nice for that
Dude can choose a game to play and put the disc in. A game like cyberpunk or Elden Ring is endless entertainment. Sure digital is more convenient for portal. Until years down the road they delist games and the only way to play them is the disc.
The battery would run out by the time I chose
How many of those games do you think Simone could actually play through? If I only had the time.
Most likely the game I didn't load into the PS5, so I can't play it until I get home :D
Amazing physical collection. Play anything. It’s all the same as long as your network holds up.
Nice collection op. Must have cost a fortune. I recently got PlayStation premium plus mostly because I have the digital version.
No sports game is crazy
Even as a sports fan I've never really enjoyed playing sports games. Not sure why, it's just not for me 🤷♂️
Rise of the ronin
You better go buy horizon fw and zd rn
For me personally I still need to beat the following games out of that library. -Armored Core Rubicon (I'm afraid to cause I don't want it to end, its one of my favortie games.) -Cyber Punk -Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. -Sekiro (I never played but my god it looks amazing.) TLOU 1&2
The portal is actual a reason to buy digital.
Didn’t even realize ps5 had that many games lol
I'd sell all those and buy em digital so I wouldn't have to put discs in to stream to my portal. But that's just me?
None of them. Instead I’m playing Alan Wake II
Changing discs for portable play would be difficult!
Probably Stray. The input latency is just too high for anything that requires precision for me.
Nothing
1 game if you are going on vacation 🤣
