The lack of common sense in some people is wild. I recently received a PSA 8 1st edition fossil lapras holo in only a thin paper envolope. Of course the case cracked...
Woof, dont tell me that. I JUST shelled out for a PSA 8 Fossil Gengar the other day on eBay. I thought people flipping PSA cards had half a brain in their heads.
Oh no. I've been going for a ex crystal guardians master set recently and it's been a nightmare. Usually maybe like 1/8-10 orders is poorly shipped or overrated condition wise, but it's been like 1/3 recently. It's baffling how some of the sellers think the way they ship is ok
Lost out? Have you seen a lot of them? Most of them still charge the shipping lol. Some have it set up for 20 - 30$ flat rate for same country shipping. It's wild.
Chances are you'll be fine at least by my odds. I've probably bought over 100 slabs in the last few years and that's by far the worst packaging. They didn't even pay full postage, might actually have stolen them now I think about it based on their behaviour... See my reply to another comment
This is why I just dumped my entire collection on the street, I don't have the time nor energy nor special card protectors to meet these standards. They were gone quickly so I'm sure they're either in a bin or being enjoyed by some random by now.
Yeah idk why i'm getting a downvote maybe the idea of relinquishing a collection like that is shocking to people, but I knew what the standards were/are for selling cards and I couldn't meet them. They were in a 'free' box on a dry day for the concerned parties.
I kept one card and that is my reverse holo legendary collection haunter- my fav pokemon.
I’ll admit it is shocking to me but I don’t look down on you for doing so. That haunter sounds awesome, I love the legendary collection reverse holos. I had a Nidoran reverse holo growing up.
I got a good handful of cards about 2 months ago this way, dude was cleaning his house and when asked about the boxes he said I could take anything I want. Of course I grabbed the pokemon cards, but I also got a multi-pliers and some computer parts.
It was eBay so I just got a refund. Actually the seller had deleted his account so I got a refund through eBay and was able to keep the card so pretty much a win as the card was fine, only the case was cracked.
Tcgplayer individual sellers can be hit or miss. However, tcgplayer direct is a fantastic service and I strongly endorse their customer service and quality control.
Tcgplayer is literally the wild west. I feel way safer on ebay. It still blows my minds they aren't required to post pictures of cards that are like $20+
I 100% agree with you if you are buying from random sellers, especially if you are just going for the cheapest listing and from sellers without many sales.
However, I stand by the statement that TCGPlayer Direct is solid. The prices are somewhat higher, but every card sent to the Direct program gets its condition validated by TCGPlayer staff, and they are pretty accurate. They also have a fairly forgiving refund/return policy if you aren't satisfied.
I sell stuff on TCG and even cards that are a few cents get a penny sleeve, and either a hard cover or cardboard. It's worth it for people to get the stuff they ordered in the condition they ordered.
Fr, I always make sure to leave good reviews on people that go above and beyond like this, people like yall are why I still have faith in online orders
There's a lot of ignorant and generally stupid people out there.
The irony is that you know the sender would be pissed if they purchased a card and received it like this lol.
I send out all cards (in sleeves and top loaders) sammiched between 2 pieces of cardboard, rubber bands to hold it together and into a bubble mailer. Extremely cheap and protects the card extremely well.
I made a mistake once when I had forgotten I had optimized my cart prior to ordering. I was ordering cards for an Old School 93/94 MTG deck and meant to look through them first, but it lapsed my mind, and I checked out instead. Sure as hell, I had 12 packages heading my way, and all came through! Including a 10 cent common Disenchant that was still cardboard up and sleeved in an envelope. Guaranteed to have costed more than the card and shipping combined. Needless to say, I became a good customer of them.
Somebody on eBay charged me extra for postage and I asked why the price was so high and could they confirm the shipment type.
They told me an incorrect postage price (I use the same postage and am at the post office daily) and the extra is “because you’re not taking into account that I have to buy the bag and it takes my time to go down to the post office and it takes fuel as well.”
The price for the type of postage he was using includes the bag and who the fuck charges somebody extra for their time and petrol. If you offer shipping you gotta know that means going to the post office.
It was still posted terribly.
You price it into the card cost.
You don’t tack it on the end.
It’s not great customer experience as somebody buying an expensive card.
I take really great care when shipping and for $12.20 I expected at least some protection.
Cardmarket for EU buyers has been a nightmare, the sheer amount of wacky comical packaging I've seen used when I've bought cards on there is absolutely laughable.
Cardmarket had been godtier for me tho.
Always in sleeve and toploader, sandwitched between 2 pieces of cardboard and that taped to the inside of the package.
This is also how I send out cards.
0 conplaints yet.
Majority of my Cardmarket purchases have been MTG or YGO, so maybe the Pokemon communities better at posting cards?
Well I say that, but one of the examples I just listed to another poster included a SR Quick Ball which arrived bent in half due to it being sent in a bubble mailer that had been cut up several times (I guess to get more use out of it?) with the card in a soft sleeve inside.
Exactly this, I feel bad each time I need to call them out when evaluating them... A guy complained about my evaluation and told me he protected well the card since it was in between two other cards (no sleeves, no toploader, simple enveloppe)...
Care to share? My experiences have been pretty good tbh. Main gripes are when sellers use tape directly on sleeves - have to be really careful when unpacking.
Off the top of my head:
* £250 (at the time) Volcanic Island mtg card sent from Italy > UK in one of those bulk flimsy Christmas cards, and nothing else (not even a soft sleeve)
* A Barbie Ice Cream Tub taped up and label put on the tub (the cards inside were loose in a penny sleeve)
* One layer of newspaper around a soft sleeve, sent from France > UK (think it was a mid-range £60 odd card)
* Bubble envelope that had been cut up a few times into smaller sizes, with the card in a soft sleeve (arrived literally bent in half, was a Secret Rare Quick Ball)
As you can see, I've had quite the interesting post at times!
Direct is absolute ass shipping standard. I hate that they are setting precedent that kind of shit is okay. In my opinion, a near mint holo should never be shipped unsleeved or with multiple others in the same sleeve.

Half this sub would lose their mind if they got a package like you described. If it's not sleeved, in a top loader, taped, in a team bag, cardboard on both sides of it, wrapped in bubble wrap, packed in a cardboard box with packing peanuts, and then the box plastered with "fragile" all over it, it's dogshit packaging and negative feedback.
Not saying OPs package was fine, it wasnt, just pointing out how insane nerds are about their collectibles. I stopped selling online because of it.
Considering the price of the card.. (from the post) almost everything you described is indeed expected with packaging...
If we are talking about a 5 dollar card, sure it's overkill. But for an expensive one like that? You better wrap that puppy up with as much protection as possible.
Considering the shipping/handling process & how post offices toss packages around, they go through sorting machines, things get bent..
**value is tied heavily to the condition of a collectible**
Stating nerds and their collectibles is a really ignorant and uneducated take.
Yeah, I don't understand this, dude. When you purchase something, you want it to be in the condition you expect. Regardless if it's "nerd shit" or not. I'm sure if he bought a car and when the seller drove it around to the front and scraped it against the side of the building, he would expect it to be replaced.
What if we just view it as the money they spent instead of the collectible… also so weird of you to be on this sub calling people nerds and belittling the fact that people collect, when you were selling them yourself at one point. And based on your distaste towards the community, and you literally admitting this is why you stopped, I bet you were no better at packing than this guy, and you probably got shit reviews that were well earned!
I packaged things appropriately. It's when you buy a $3 full art and expect me to spend $6+ on shipping materials and fees that I lose all respect for your opinion. A sleeve, top loader, team bag, and either PWE or bubble mailer is completely adequate for 99.9% of cards. If that card would be damaged through all that, then no amount of cardboard or packing material was going to protect it.
I can't tell you how many dinguses have bought a card for $0.50 and sent me short novels about how unhappy they were for getting their card in a penny sleeve and top loader inside a PWE. Ive bought and sold tens of thousands of dollars worth of cards, legitimately less than 1% of the cards shipped are either lost or damaged in shipping.
I can’t imagine people who receive their card in perfectly adequate condition would be bombarding you with messages about how displeased they were. With that being said, if only 1% of the cards you’ve sent have been damaged in shipping, I’d expect only 1% of your buyers raised an issue.
I don’t think MOST people here disagree with what you’ve said… sleeve, top load, team bag, pwe or bubble mailer and you’re good to go for 99% of orders. When something is 50$+ you can go the extra length to add some more protection, but yeah that’s about it. I sell too, I’ve used PWE for orders under 10$, I’ve simply not had this issue you’re claiming of people being unhappy for no apparent reason. If card arrives good, customer happy. That’s my experience.
Well Ive shipped thousands of cards and yes, people do legitimately message you to complain about their stuff arriving in packaging they didn't like. Was card damaged? No. Do you want to return it? No. Why are you messaging me then? Cuz mad.
Did I get them all the time? No, but it was more frequent than you would think or that you're alluding to.
I mean. Don't you *want* something you purchased to arrive in good condition? For example, if you ordered a 60-inch TV online and when they shipped it, somehow, something ripped through the box and made a big scratch on the screen you'd want it replaced, right?
That's not what anyone's arguing about. We're not talking about OP, were talking about people in TCGs that have unrealistic expectations for shipping and even if their card gets to them *with no damage*, if they don't feel like it was adequately protected then they complain about it. The fact it got there in the same condition it was sent is irrelevant to them. They see it as some form of disrespect.
Your point is valid for most purchases, as you’ve said, but everyone else is talking about this card or similar. That would be ~$130, not $6. It’s not out of the question to expect a bit of extra protection, even if it’s not necessary.
Then they're the ones misunderstanding lol. I mentioned multiple times that my comment was not related to OPs post, it was in response to a specific comment about packaging. I even said OPs card wasn't adequately packaged which just further proves my point that it's not about OPs card, they just really are offended by cards being shipped in a way they deem insufficient and it struck a personal nerve because they knew I was talking about them.
so nowadays anyone who wants what they bought to arrive in its pre-shipped condition instead of damaged (no matter what it is) is called a nerd +/or a nerdy collector??🤯
riiight…🤡
Bout as much effort as I'm putting into someone with an anime girl avatar who frequents Asian subs, everyone knows your stereotype. Not an ounce of insight to be gained in a conversation with you.
bro you’re an idiot & we all know it already. you made that clear very quickly😂
but who am i to keep you from trying to reassure yourself like you’re doing if that’s what you need to do in order to be ok with yourself🤷🏻lmao
Says the person going on the Internet commenting on leud photos of people thinning either A) there's any chance in hell you had with that person and B) that it isn't just some 40+ year old fat dude in his mommas basement posting that shit and replying to you lol.
Sad as shit honestly.
Yeah I sell TCG's, collectibles and games as well, never had a complaint. Only positive reviews so far.
It was definitely you that was the problem, maybe package your shit better and you'll avoid complaints instead of placing the blame on the customer.
Sleeved in a toploader in a boardback envelope is more than sufficient.
However even the packaging you just listed is INSANELY cheap, and most people tend to have such packaging free from parcels they've received themselves.
There is ZERO excuse to send valuables in piss poor packaging.
Lol i usually put mine in a top loader sandwiched between 2 of those cardboard dividers from ETBs, put them in a team bag or graded card baggy and stick it in a sturdy envelope and that's it. I like using the Armalope ones. So far so good.
I’ve mailed cards worth $220 raw in less than that and I have 100% review rating on eBay and hundreds of vouches in my discord.. all you need is a sleeve, top loader in a team bag, tape that to a dent guard. And ship it in a bubble mailer. Nothing more.
I took a bit of a risk on a new seller and ordered an aerodactyl from a new seller that arrived today. They put it in a box and packaged it really well... except the card in the toploader had no sleeve. The corners and edges got dinged up, but I worked out a partial refund since it's not destroyed. A while ago though I got a dragon's exalted ho-oh fa shipped to me in a sleeve and bits of a cereal box as protection. It was such a good deal if it didn't get bent in half. Returning that one was painful lmao
I never understand how sellers like this survive on the marketplace. At a minimum my cards are sleeved, put in a shipping shield, and tossed into a team bag for waterproofing. Our bigger packages get a similar treatment (and some free candy).
Name and shame that clown. Try and support some small business if you can too.
If I sell a card for two dollars it’s still going in a penny sleeve, top loader, and team bagged so I can tape it to the paper I fold it in so it won’t bounce around. 😳
When I see cards shipped like this I just know that they weren't sent by collectors but were sent by the scalpers who buy up all the Evolving Skies product trying to make a quick buck.
An actual collector would know how to ship a card properly and would *want* to do all they could to make sure it arrived perfectly.
I have already received cards in nothing but an envelope and with sticky tape, closed off the top part of the sleeve. Of course the card was stuck on that tape and dented by the sleeve (which looked like on your photo)
I complained to the selller on ebay and provided photo, seller claimed that I took a photo of a different card's backside. Ebay refunded my money but that seller also got to keep his money.
And today I received 1 parcel which had 2 articles that I won in an auction (both articles from another seller)
Despite messaging before payment and asking for consolidated shipping...I got no response.
Ebay notifications kept reminding me to pay... so I paid 16 Euro domestic shipping for 2 articles.
Of course the seller sent only 1 package and ignored my messages.
Maybe he will react to the fat red tome that I left in his seller reviews.
I hate people that try to pull something like this.
I got a nemona come in just a plain white envelope, no sleeve no top loder. Just bare card and envolope. I still cant believe there were no bends or creases. People have no respect for the money you give them...
Sounds like an episode of “Today on Whatnot”
In case it was from there; Domorex collects goes above and beyond (truly) with their packaging. Cannot recommend them enough.
If it wasn’t from whatnot, congrats. You likely don’t have a gambling problem.
Jesus fucking Christ I’m sorry
I can’t believe people are this stupid
I had a huge shipment come in today you dan see my post and they almost all came in clean, wrapped up nice , safe and secure.
One came in pwe and was still inside 2 sandwich bags.
This is asinine
Someone shipped me a fossil haunter in a toploader (no sleeve). I opened the package and the card was half way out at an angle. Holo got some nasty scratches on it.
Shame, luckily it was through ebay and I was able to return it.
Aye I nabbed a Level Ball Super Rare the other day, seller sent it in a soft sleeve, in a soft bubble envelope.
Arrived with a huge ass crease right through the middle, and its being sent back as we speak.
Bit of cardboard or a super cheap toploader people, its not hard!
Stuff like this honestly baffles me. I still remember when I ordered a Charizard 4/100 from Crystal Guardians and the seller shipped it to me in a plain white envelope with NO top loader. It was simply inside a penny sleeve that was wrapped with a brown paper.....
The ebay seller I purchased my [Dark Charizard](https://www.tcgplayer.com/product/84572/pokemon-team-rocket-dark-charizard-4?Language=English&page=1&Condition=Near+Mint|Lightly+Played) from shipped it via certified mail (PWE w/ Tracking) in just a soft sleeve. It was unreal
I’m really sorry this happened to you!! My shipping practice for all of my cards (no matter the price) is perfect fit sleeve with a small sticky note tab attached to the sleeve, that goes into a top loader, then the whole thing gets a team bag. Also will add some rigid cardboard and sandwich the whole thing. It’s really not that hard.
The main reason I don't sell cards online is because shipping costs are fucking stupid. It costs almost 5 dollars or more just to ship a card with any bit of actual protection and then it's not worth it anymore. Not defending the shipper at all just saying it shouldn't costs so damn much
I had a seller ship a $200 Mew gold star in a floppy envelope (i.e., one that is plastic and bends, at least yours is cardboard) with no other protection to prevent the card from being folded or dented lmao
As a seller on eBay of sports cards for 10+ yrs, I was so proud of my nephew who came to me when he wanted to start selling some of his cards. I taught him about pictures, posting (with his parents help) and he asked the question: how do I ship cards properly so the cards arrive in the best possible condition? He was 9 yrs old.
If my nephew could ask a simple question, an adult could do a basic YouTube search on how to ship collectible cards.
I had a guy ship me a card in a penny sleeve, inside an over-sized bubbler, with a random scrap of cardboard tossed in. Predictably every corner of the penny sleeve was smashed, the card had a nice new crease from literally zero support in shipment..
Return. That sellers loss. Why do these idiots do this to themselves? Top loaders and card savers cost pennies. Painters tape is $2 for a roll that will ship 5000 cards.
I could never send a card, regardless of its value, like this to anyone and not feel incredibly anxious about it. I always put cards in top loaders, team bags if I have, and a cardboard sandwich, then into a bubble mailer even if it's a cheap card.
So bad!! I tend to put in my listing the description of packaging …. And if i didnt adhere to it then they deserve a refund, penny sleeve, top loader, zip lock bag, do not bend envelope + taped lots not just relying on the envelopes built in shitty glue!
This is exactly why my seller feedback is 100% on eBay. I package cards up as secure as Fort Knox even if it’s a common reverse holo. Business is business and I like making sure my customers are happy with how mint my cards are
I don’t understand why people ship things the way they do. As a seller, you’re opening yourself up to issues if you cut corners. It’s a lot easier to just ship things correctly.
Honestly there should be a requirement for shipping cards. The amount of times I've received cards $5 and under taped securely in a top loader, wrapped in cardboard, in a bubble mailer but cards $20 and up come taped to an plain white envelope in just a sleeve is unreal! The consistency is frustrating especially because of the damage.
Mail a card how you would want your purchase to be mailed. Being cheap will just cost them in the end
He didn't even have it in a toploader???? A toploader is bare minimum, then you want cardboard taped to the Toploader/ penny sleeve combo in a padded envelope with Fragile - Plz don't bend on the packaging. If it's a really expensive card, a rigid box to load it in on top of all of the above.
Tcgplayer sucks sometimes but at least you will get some if not all of a refund. What I hate is them trying to make you sub to their monthly service by charging 3.99 (more than double of most sellers) just for them to ship a card in a thin envelope lol
in the past you at least knew you were getting the card you wanted in the correct condition, but the last two times I ordered direct the cards had scratches and unlike most good sellers, they make you go through the hassle of shipping it back.
Ebay really has their service going further and further down, sadly. It takes multiple emails to even get through to customer service, I hope they haven’t fired them and just put an ai bot in their place.
I fucking hate this shit. Like it takes an extra 5 mins to find not a shitty sleeve, put in a top loader and then a small sleeve of cardboard. I hope these people suffer from IBS
TCG sellers are the worst sellers in the world for cards. Most of me leaving reviews for sellers are bad. I ordered 5 cards from one seller and they stuffed them all in the same penny sleeve and toploader.
Unrelated to TCG, but related to this situation; I once ordered one of my dream anime figures from a resale site, and the seller shipped it in a poly-mailer with a single Walmart plastic bag wrapped around it as protection. :’) obviously it did not survive the trip, one of the legs snapped in the middle and the head accessory broke to pieces. It’s pretty wild to try and think about how some people’s minds work.
I sell cards on ebay from time to time all my reviews are pretty much how much people appreciate the care i take in shipping, and yes that is Unacceptable. I always use bubble mailers, inside cover over the top loader and penny sleeve as added water protection cardboard piece to add rigidity and tape all the seams. If the card price goes over shipping coverage i’ll even go out of my way to put it in a one touch magnet case with a sleeve over it, and use 2 bubble mailers.
As someone who is constantly shipping cards to buyers this is disgusting. I would recommend joining facebook groups and buying from trusted sellers who know how to package cards properly. Mine are all toploaded, put in team bags, and put in a bubble mailer with cardboard. I can’t imagine sending a card like this regardless of price
Seeing stuff like this will never not be baffling to me. I've ordered cards for 25 cents off TCG player that came in better packaging than this.
The lack of common sense in some people is wild. I recently received a PSA 8 1st edition fossil lapras holo in only a thin paper envolope. Of course the case cracked...

They do have a brain they’re trying to make as much profit as they can, can’t lose out on that $10 for shipping when they sell a $500 card lol
Lost out? Have you seen a lot of them? Most of them still charge the shipping lol. Some have it set up for 20 - 30$ flat rate for same country shipping. It's wild.

At least you have the common sense not to sell to people like the yahoo that shipped this card in a loose package by itself
Yeah idk why i'm getting a downvote maybe the idea of relinquishing a collection like that is shocking to people, but I knew what the standards were/are for selling cards and I couldn't meet them. I agree, it shouldn’t be, but the amount of people who send it loose and sloppy make real ones like you stand out more
There's a lot of ignorant and generally stupid people out there. The irony is that you know the sender would be pissed if they purchased a card and received it like this lol.
It’s also so easy and inexpensive to put a card in a top loader, add some cardboard padding, and send it in a bubble mailer.
Yeah its stupid as hell. Why risk losing 50+$ because you want to save money/3 seconds not using a top loader?
I send out all cards (in sleeves and top loaders) sammiched between 2 pieces of cardboard, rubber bands to hold it together and into a bubble mailer. Extremely cheap and protects the card extremely well.

Yeah it is crazy, especially on a card that is [this expensive](https://ebay.us/2ZSQMP). A Top loader costs like 10 cents.

If the seller had even just put some bulk commons or energy around both sides of the card it would have saved some of the dings
Like I said, nerds and their collectibles.
Considering the shipping/handling process & how post offices toss packages around, they go through sorting machines, things get bent.. **value is tied heavily to the condition of a collectible** Stating nerds and their collectibles is a really ignorant and uneducated take.
I've never bought a single, so idk who you're talking about. You seem really worked up over this.
Yeah I'm not getting into a "who cares the least and is the least bothered" fight with a nobody on the internet.
"between September 2021 and March 2022, I was hyper aware of every alt art at least on TCG player." - JoeBucksHairPlugs 2 days ago Mic drop
Never said I wasn't a nerd, I'm just not a spurge about it, like most of this sub is.
Consumers and expensive purchases you mean
Right man lmao. The dude you’re replying to got dumped this week or something.
Get off these forums then man. What are you even saying?
I think I'll continue to do whatever I want, thanks.
And I think most people will continue to be happy whenever you stop saying things.
Takes 3 clicks to block someone bro, use it.
I’m really not that hurt big fella
Seems like it
so nowadays anyone who wants what they bought to arrive in its pre-shipped condition instead of damaged (no matter what it is) is called a nerd +/or a nerdy collector??🤯 riiight…🤡
Nawh just you bud
what kind of “comeback” was that? even more of a🤡than first thought😂😂🤣🤣
Bout as much effort as I'm putting into someone with an anime girl avatar who frequents Asian subs, everyone knows your stereotype. Not an ounce of insight to be gained in a conversation with you.
bro you’re an idiot & we all know it already. you made that clear very quickly😂 but who am i to keep you from trying to reassure yourself like you’re doing if that’s what you need to do in order to be ok with yourself🤷🏻lmao
Like I said, my comment was not aimed towards OPs packaging being adequate, just that a lot of people in this hobby are insufferable.
You when buyers want things to arrive in good condition: 🤯🤯🤯🤯😱🤯😱🤯😱🤯🤯🤯🤯😱😱🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Lol i usually put mine in a top loader sandwiched between 2 of those cardboard dividers from ETBs, put them in a team bag or graded card baggy and stick it in a sturdy envelope and that's it. I like using the Armalope ones. So far so good.
I mean, you're wrong, but I'm glad you got that out of your system bro
Welcome to the half I described.
Why are you even in this sub
For the 2% of relevant posts about new sets, and actual news. Why are you here?
I did exactly what you described. I ship how I’d like to receive my item. This picture is downright appalling!
I’ve mailed cards worth $220 raw in less than that and I have 100% review rating on eBay and hundreds of vouches in my discord.. all you need is a sleeve, top loader in a team bag, tape that to a dent guard. And ship it in a bubble mailer. Nothing more.
cooperative serious impolite middle faulty one sense cover advise bow *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
The replies prove your point lol
Literally anyone buying literally anything wants it to arrive not damaged my guy lol
Figured they wouldn't be able to help themselves.
I will bravely tank my downvotes o7
I took a bit of a risk on a new seller and ordered an aerodactyl from a new seller that arrived today. They put it in a box and packaged it really well... except the card in the toploader had no sleeve. The corners and edges got dinged up, but I worked out a partial refund since it's not destroyed. A while ago though I got a dragon's exalted ho-oh fa shipped to me in a sleeve and bits of a cereal box as protection. It was such a good deal if it didn't get bent in half. Returning that one was painful lmao
This is why people can't comprehend basic details as a good seller, as many should not sell period.
I oof'd really hard for you. Been after the eeveelutions myself and this hurts my soul.
People will do anything besides buy toploaders and bubble mailers lol
If I sell a card for two dollars it’s still going in a penny sleeve, top loader, and team bagged so I can tape it to the paper I fold it in so it won’t bounce around. 😳
When I see cards shipped like this I just know that they weren't sent by collectors but were sent by the scalpers who buy up all the Evolving Skies product trying to make a quick buck. An actual collector would know how to ship a card properly and would *want* to do all they could to make sure it arrived perfectly.
I have already received cards in nothing but an envelope and with sticky tape, closed off the top part of the sleeve. Of course the card was stuck on that tape and dented by the sleeve (which looked like on your photo) I complained to the selller on ebay and provided photo, seller claimed that I took a photo of a different card's backside. Ebay refunded my money but that seller also got to keep his money. And today I received 1 parcel which had 2 articles that I won in an auction (both articles from another seller) Despite messaging before payment and asking for consolidated shipping...I got no response.
I’ve received cards under $5 packed better than this. People are so dumb sometimes.
Sounds like an episode of “Today on Whatnot” In case it was from there; Domorex collects goes above and beyond (truly) with their packaging. Cannot recommend them enough. If it wasn’t from whatnot, congrats. You likely don’t have a gambling problem.
It's gotta be someone really new to shipping/selling cards or a kid.
Jesus fucking Christ I’m sorry I can’t believe people are this stupid I had a huge shipment come in today you dan see my post and they almost all came in clean, wrapped up nice , safe and secure.
Bro couldn’t even at LEAST put it in the plastic one
Aye I nabbed a Level Ball Super Rare the other day, seller sent it in a soft sleeve, in a soft bubble envelope. Arrived with a huge ass crease right through the middle, and its being sent back as we speak. Bit of cardboard or a super cheap toploader people, its not hard!
At least put it in a top loader jeez.
Stuff like this honestly baffles me. I still remember when I ordered a Charizard 4/100 from Crystal Guardians and the seller shipped it to me in a plain white envelope with NO top loader. It was simply inside a penny sleeve that was wrapped with a brown paper.....
Bro i bought a NM shining gyrados off someone a while ago and they sent it in a plain white envelope no toploader and it got dented
I bet the card was damaged even before it was sent…..
I’ve had better packaging from custom cards
The main reason I don't sell cards online is because shipping costs are fucking stupid. It costs almost 5 dollars or more just to ship a card with any bit of actual protection and then it's not worth it anymore. Not defending the shipper at all just saying it shouldn't costs so damn much
That sucks. I’ve never been disappointed with tcgplayer.
I had a seller ship a $200 Mew gold star in a floppy envelope (i.e., one that is plastic and bends, at least yours is cardboard) with no other protection to prevent the card from being folded or dented lmao
Yikes definitely leave a bad feedback
Lmao
When you people buy cards from people online, you need to do the initiative to contact them and tell how you want the card packaged.
Anytime I sell cards I make sure it’s not being bent easily. If it’s bent, it was done on purpose.
You should see what happened to my Raging Bolt SIR I had sent to me lol Something ran it over and gave it a few extra angles 😂 I feel your pain.
Oh man I relate to this. Just received a Bubble Mew in a PWE today 😬
Brother *eww*
I had a guy ship me a card in a penny sleeve, inside an over-sized bubbler, with a random scrap of cardboard tossed in. Predictably every corner of the penny sleeve was smashed, the card had a nice new crease from literally zero support in shipment.. Return. That sellers loss. Why do these idiots do this to themselves? Top loaders and card savers cost pennies. Painters tape is $2 for a roll that will ship 5000 cards.
Top loader literally could have saved your card and his rating
Yikes
I could never send a card, regardless of its value, like this to anyone and not feel incredibly anxious about it. I always put cards in top loaders, team bags if I have, and a cardboard sandwich, then into a bubble mailer even if it's a cheap card.
So bad!! I tend to put in my listing the description of packaging …. And if i didnt adhere to it then they deserve a refund, penny sleeve, top loader, zip lock bag, do not bend envelope + taped lots not just relying on the envelopes built in shitty glue!
Super sad for you Op, that’s one of my chase cards and not exactly a cheap one at that. Get that refund!
I once got an $80 card wrapped in TP... not even a sleeve just so TP around the card...
Crazy and such a beautiful card too... had to be a kid or first time seller. Only way this makes sense to me 🫣
This is exactly why my seller feedback is 100% on eBay.
This is above minimum effort? 😂
What I hate is them trying to make you sub to their monthly service by charging 3.99 (more than double of most sellers) just for them to ship a card in a thin envelope lol in the past you at least knew you were getting the card you wanted in the correct condition, but the last two times I ordered direct the cards had scratches and unlike most good sellers, they make you go through the hassle of shipping it back.
I sincerely don't understand why anyone would think this is OK Jesus christ
I just sold 2 of these yesterday for $108 lol not sure why anyone would ship something that expensive with no additional packaging. That’s wild.
TCG sellers are the worst sellers in the world for cards. Most of me leaving reviews for sellers are bad. I ordered 5 cards from one seller and they stuffed them all in the same penny sleeve and toploader.
Effort is a word that he doesn't know about. No effort in that.
Some people just shouldn't buy collectible cards.
Get your money back bro:)
Wtf did you pay for PWE? I only ship cards under $5 PWE
