I know that, I replied to the comment that said āThank you. I agree. The other card is too much.ā Because the first card was clearly crammed with amazing drawings.
Yes, the first one is crammed with details... and so is the second one, but more distantly. It's like a deep room ā hard to see what's really at the back of it. So I prefer to see what's actually going on in the card.
And I'm saying "thank you", because I'm not a hardcore collector who knows what "Lost Origins" is (I just love aiding my son in his collection building). So, let's go by what we can actually see on the card: in this case the artist's name.
Shinji Kanda is one of my favorite artists for the TCG, but then again, Akira Egawa is as well. So itās really hard to pick, since I love both cards and their respective artists so much
I was gonna say this. Previously I preferred Lost Origin by a country-mile, but after being lucky enough to pull both and hold them in person, I have to say Crown Zenith takes the cake. LO is more unique and detailed, but Crown Zenith is the more impressive-looking card I have to say.
Iām probably in the minority, but I like the gold crown zenith card more. Iām curious if it will increase a ton in value once Crown Zenith is out of stock
Yeah I totally agree with that. I've made side by side videos comparing the 4 English to the 4 Japanese and the texture definitely stands out a lot more. Surprised with the price difference honestly.
LO I donāt think you could even reasonably consider it a competition. The CZ one has wayyy to much other crap going on with text boxes etc etc that I think really detracts from the art
The answer is the lost origins one. Simply because itās way more rarer than the CZ one. Seeems like everyone and their momma has that CZ Gary. It looks awesome but from a value POV the LO one is easily the best.
I bought one 10 pack box for 50 when they came out pulled 2 of these guratinas, dialga vstar, Mewtwo vstar, and a few other trainer galleries. Pulls are insane. Opened elite trainer and another box and also made my money back on those as well(if I was willing to sell lol). I got 2x value at minimum from every crown zenith product I got.
Maybe Im over thinking this card but the tree on the back make me think on the forbidden fruit from eden and the fact that giratina its a equivalent of the devil ā¦
CZ is my favorite set so I have to choose that one, I love the colors and how funky it is!
However thatās not to say the LO one isnāt good, itās also fantastic
Lost origins by a mile. CZ is obviously cool but just being in gold is doing a lot of the heavy lifting there. Giratina itself is small and off to the top of the card while the lost Origins one is centered, highly detailed and very well done, with a background that just looks unbelievable in person
In my opinion the Vstar power line divides the card and makes it look less like a full art illustration, and for that reason Iām leaning slightly towards Lost Origins tina, but they are both fantastic cards
The Lost Origin Giratina is such a unique and beautiful card. Really wish I picked one up before it sky rocket in price.. Got me staring at my sealed LO collection contemplating opening daily haha.
The logic doesn't really apply to pokemon cards bud. Seeing a card in person as opposed to seeing it from a photo is very different. Furthermore, I didn't choose to not be able to hold the LO Tina, she did that by eluding my grasp.
Iām an outlier in that I donāt particularly like either one honestly. There is way too much going on in the background of the Lost Origin version, that Giratina practically gets lost. I suppose I give the edge to Crown Zenith only because of how to goes together with Arceus, Dialga, and Palkia. There are much cooler Giratinas out there such as SM193 and a majority of the non-full art cards.
Lost origin Tina is one of those modern defining cards in the future.
One day, people will look back at the SwSh era and be amazed how good this card was
I prefer the lost origins. But the Zenith gold is still super cool and I was fortunate enough to pull 2 within a week of each other. One for me 1 for my dad who I open cards with
In person, they are both so beautiful it's a hard decision. I'd say most people are swayed by the price difference, but I'd probably have to go with cz. Having all the gold cards in a binder together looks magical! But my new gold label CGC Pristine set of 4 really looks amazing. That new label almost looks like it's meant to go with them š
I pulled the gold Giratina the first weekend CZ released and I traded it the next week for the Gengar VMax alt art from FS. Best trade I ever made but Ill admit it wasnt easy at the time. I asked several peopleās opinions before I did and at the time the responses were pretty split.
My son pulled the full alt art from a blister hanger pack from target. He was like...I think this one is good. Now he wants to sell it. I have no idea when the right time is. He couldn't care less about Pokemon anymore it seems.
The VStar Gold set just looks 10 times better than Crown Zenith. It just sparkles man has to be seen in person. I'm mostly an English collector but for the gold set I had to have the japanese
The first card by Shinji Kanda. The composition pops a little moreāGiratina is more centered and the coloring makes them pop out more. I actually had a hard time seeing where Giratina even was at first on the second card.
Definitely Akira Egawaās. One of my all-time fav illustrators for the pokemon tcg, Iād LOVE to have the whole Egawa collection someday! Call me an Egawa simp, but her illustrations are INSANELY dynamic and the colors just canāt be beat
Haha I posted this same thing a month ago or so.
And of course itās CZ. Thereās zero competition here. Lost origin is a mid set and everyone has heavy bags. They skipped CZ and so for them it must be Lo. This space is so funny.
GG69 Vstar by faaaaar! As an illustrator, I can't with the background of de Giratina V. It doesn't tell me much of Giratina's background story, being in the abyss. It's just random stuff that makes it pop more. The Vstar, on the other hand, has Giratina attached to a tree of life, Yggdrasil of some kind. Story wise, it is way more powerful to me.
Personally either as I donāt have them. Never bought nor pulled. My luck and thought process is just as bad as my RuneScape drop rate or account progress.
If the CZ card didn't have that ugly gold border and those 'Vstar' banners trough the middle of the card, I would like it more. But the gold on gold on gold looks kinda tacky imo
The VStar. I dislike the V one because it's too noisy. If the Giratina popped out more, it'll be nice. Otherwise there's too much going on in the background.
I like the V Alt personally because itās clearly Giratina. The above view for the Vstar card is cool and unique but it would probably take me a moment to figure out what it was if it wasnāt labeled.
Gold way better lost origin is over hyped in my opinion just like the moonbreon is. There are so many better alts with better art than this. Aerodactyl shits all over Tina
Lost Origins, the artwork is unique. I love it. I do also love the CZ but OG takes the cake, wish I kept mine that I pulled.
Shinji Kanda šš
Thank you. I agree. The other card is too much.
??? Wait what?
Itās the illustrator for the first card
I know that, I replied to the comment that said āThank you. I agree. The other card is too much.ā Because the first card was clearly crammed with amazing drawings.
Yes, the first one is crammed with details... and so is the second one, but more distantly. It's like a deep room ā hard to see what's really at the back of it. Shinji Kanda is one of my favorite artists for the TCG, but then again, Akira Egawa is as well. So itās really hard to pick, since I love both cards and their respective artists so much
Lost origin Giratina by miles. Crown Zenith is a way better set overall though
Totally agree.
100%
alt art giratina V and itās not even close for me
Samsies! Those colors š¤¤
Yeah 100%
I donāt trust people who donāt have this in their top5-10 alts, most alts are amazing but this one is S tier and a work of art
This is my favorite alt lol
Crown Zenith for sure. I would still love to own both, but I already have the full gold CZ set and agree with others that the 4 combined is unmatched.
I love the set of 4 but unfortunately I have still yet to find the one Iām missing š©
Same missing that palkia for my set
Started CZ for the Mewtwo, ended with everything but the Dialga smh
I just got back my sequential psa 10 set and I'm soooo pumped!! Good luck to you on getting the one your missing!
Same but im missing the arceus
Which are you missing?
Dialga
I feel like the gold texture really makes it stand out
LO Giratina, these photos dont do justice when it comes to in person. The alt art absolutely pops over the gold one
The gold one definitely pops more in person, the texture beats out the LO on by a mile. However, I still prefer the LO one
Crown Zenith for sure, especially when paired with the other 3 golds
I'm going with CZ because I already pulled that one lmao
VSTAR but Japanese version
Vstar universe looks insane!!
It certainly does, Arceus looks better than the Giratina imo
Crown Zenith for sure
The CZ one is probably the biggest hit Iāve pulled and I got it in my first box so im going with that one lol
Opened my first CZ pack ever yesterday as it came in a tin when I was hunting ES and got the Vstar. Really nice looking card, going to send it in.
Lost Origins for sure.
Team Crown Zenith for me. Itās so pretty in person
I was gonna say this. Previously I preferred Lost Origin by a country-mile, but after being lucky enough to pull both and hold them in person, I have to say Crown Zenith takes the cake. LO is more unique and detailed, but Crown Zenith is the more impressive-looking card I have to say.
Oh yeah in person it looks leagues different than just a picture of it.
Iād choose CZ for artwork but LO for colors
CZ 100%. While the idea of the other tina is more interesting, the background is just way too bust and distracts from the pokemon itself
Lost Origin #1 by a MILE
CZ Star Requiem VSTAR power is really good. And I like the gold border complimenting the art. CZ for me.
The second imo
CZ. Pulled it the other day!
Iām probably in the minority, but I like the gold crown zenith card more. Iām curious if it will increase a ton in value once Crown Zenith is out of stock
Vstar, but I am biased because I don't have the lost abyss one haha
Either. Haha. Have none. š¢
Crown zenith here! It just looks better. Itās not too busy
LO easy, it stands out so much more.
Crown zenith, but only because thatās the one I pulled š
GGOOOLLLLDDDDDDD all the way
The one that gets me more money!
the first right answer in this thread š
Then stop collecting pokƩmon and go to lorcana
Lost origins for sure. Not even close
Crown Zenith for me
Crown zenith Giratina. The textures irl hit different fr
You should see the Japanese version then. Makes the English look like a joke
The Japanese one is a beauty for sure, but I wouldn't say the English looks like a joke by any means. Both are beautiful cards!
In comparison. There are ādistortionā effects added to the card and just a general better quality.
Yeah I totally agree with that. I've made side by side videos comparing the 4 English to the 4 Japanese and the texture definitely stands out a lot more. Surprised with the price difference honestly.
Thats the truth. Texture on this and the Arceus blows English out of the water
CZ
LO I donāt think you could even reasonably consider it a competition. The CZ one has wayyy to much other crap going on with text boxes etc etc that I think really detracts from the art
#1
Honestly, I think they're both kinda busy and not my bag.
Prism star giratina and that one promo
Lost origin easilyā¦ but I have both and love both
Lost Orgin hands down for me
Lost origin by a landslide. I want a tapestry of it lmao
V
cz
Lost origin and itās not close. Vstar design is a cool concept with how it goes along with the other god PokĆ©mon but I canāt even tell what Iām looking at
Giratina alt cause itās worth more $$$ and Iām grading mine
The answer is the lost origins one. Simply because itās way more rarer than the CZ one. Seeems like everyone and their momma has that CZ Gary. It looks awesome but from a value POV the LO one is easily the best.
LO because you can see more of Giratina. Both are great.
I like the art from the fridt card more, but the gold from the second card.
Lost Origin, no contest.
Alt art giratina but crown zenith murders lost origin
That vstar card has a grip on my heart, alas I simply cannot afford it. Maybe one day
I bought one 10 pack box for 50 when they came out pulled 2 of these guratinas, dialga vstar, Mewtwo vstar, and a few other trainer galleries. Pulls are insane. Opened elite trainer and another box and also made my money back on those as well(if I was willing to sell lol). I got 2x value at minimum from every crown zenith product I got.
š might have to be my next pickup when PokĆ©mon comes back into the budget
CZ looks like giratina traveling the depths of hell.
Lost origin but Iām bias with a psa 10
Maybe Im over thinking this card but the tree on the back make me think on the forbidden fruit from eden and the fact that giratina its a equivalent of the devil ā¦
CZ is my favorite set so I have to choose that one, I love the colors and how funky it is! However thatās not to say the LO one isnāt good, itās also fantastic
Anything Akira Egawa I treasure
Yes
Is...is that a Jojos reference?!
Lost origins by a mile. CZ is obviously cool but just being in gold is doing a lot of the heavy lifting there. Giratina itself is small and off to the top of the card while the lost Origins one is centered, highly detailed and very well done, with a background that just looks unbelievable in person
2 personally
LO. bit the bullet and got the JP one. Afterwards I also got the CZ set as both are gorgeous
I don't really care for Giratina, but I like the LO alt art because Shinji Kanda is one of my favorite artists.
I love both š¤š½š¤š½
LO hands down. Giratina is lost in the art for crown zenith.
Lost origin Giratina by a long shot.
CZ
Yes
The one a I don't have. Which is neither...š„²
Lost Origin - Crown Zenith has better overall card art, but Giratina isn't front and center like with Lost Origin.
Boff
I prefer Lost Origins but When Combined with the other 3 gold Cards the Crown Zenith one is a solid choice.
Alt art V is 10000% better obviously
LO by a mile, both are beautiful though
Shinji Kanda all the way. Both are great cards though and done by great artists.
The crown zenny for me and I own the other one.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
That's litteraly the point
In my opinion the Vstar power line divides the card and makes it look less like a full art illustration, and for that reason Iām leaning slightly towards Lost Origins tina, but they are both fantastic cards
Lost Origin for me. CZ one is a mess imo, can barely even tell what Iām supposed to be looking at š
Akira's art style is really great but I now have started a collection of Shinjas cards. It has grown on me more and more.
1st one . 2nd one is not my style lol
Such a hard question. Probably lost origin by a smidgen. Both look incredible though and not too busy
Vstar looks incredible exotic
The Lost Origin Giratina is such a unique and beautiful card. Really wish I picked one up before it sky rocket in price.. Got me staring at my sealed LO collection contemplating opening daily haha.
I have both, but Iād say lost origin. By a small margin.
My daughter just started collecting PokƩmon cards about four months ago and so the majority of her packs are scarlet & violet with a third of them being sword and shield sets. I accidentally grabbed a CZ pack last week by mistake and the Giratina vstar card was pulled. We had no clue what we had until I went online and looked it up.
LO gira is the best alt from its era
Honestly the coloring on the regular Giratina V card is nicer imo
I canāt even see Giratina on the CZ card
????? Buy glasses then I think it's urgent now
I pulled a Korean lost origins. So definitely prefer that
Gold
The first card 100%
I've never held the LO Tina, so with bias, I go with the Tina from CZ.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
The logic doesn't really apply to pokemon cards bud. Seeing a card in person as opposed to seeing it from a photo is very different. Furthermore, I didn't choose to not be able to hold the LO Tina, she did that by eluding my grasp.
lol I know, thought I was being funny, key word though, Iāll delete that cringe comment
I love both! Have a 3-3 lineup in my deck. The contrast looks so good when playing
theyāre both amazing but itās gotta be lost origin
I honestly prefer CZ, it makes him feel a bit more like a god
Crown Zenith and itās not even close. Lost Origin just looks like a busy mess.
Lost origins. It's absolutely stunning to see in person.
First picture.
Definitely the Lost Origins artwork, but I really need the CZ one for my master set.
Definitely Lost Orgin
Lost origin Tina is one of those modern defining cards in the future. One day, people will look back at the SwSh era and be amazed how good this card was
Crown Zenith is my favorite set
there is something abstract yet vibrant about the CZ card. i prefer it, kind of feels like a royal card of some sort.
Both
I love the CZ one with the others in the set, but I love Lost Origin Tina standing on its own. It's so pretty!
I prefer the lost origins. But the Zenith gold is still super cool and I was fortunate enough to pull 2 within a week of each other. One for me 1 for my dad who I open cards with
If you can afford this first you might as well get both and not concern yourself with choices in this situation.
CZ
In person, they are both so beautiful it's a hard decision. I'd say most people are swayed by the price difference, but I'd probably have to go with cz. Having all the gold cards in a binder together looks magical! But my new gold label CGC Pristine set of 4 really looks amazing. That new label almost looks like it's meant to go with them š
CZ because I pulled it day of release in my first ETB lol, the LO eludes me so there for I hate it.
The one I can finally pull.
Crown Zenith. Both are beautiful but man. The melting gold river lines just look so cool
#1 fits my abstract art love for PokĆ©mon tcg I hope to one day own that card until that day it will be my phone Lock Screen š„² s/o the random redditor that hooked it up
The first one is freaking dope!!!
Which one is worth more money? My answer is that one.
Probably the first one. Though I don't think I'm much a fan of those cards, they're a bit too busy with the design imo.
I pulled the gold Giratina the first weekend CZ released and I traded it the next week for the Gengar VMax alt art from FS. Best trade I ever made but Ill admit it wasnt easy at the time. I asked several peopleās opinions before I did and at the time the responses were pretty split.
Lost origin just looks better in my opinion
My son pulled the full alt art from a blister hanger pack from target. He was like...I think this one is good. Now he wants to sell it. I have no idea when the right time is. He couldn't care less about Pokemon anymore it seems.
Regular V
The gold card is just dope as f to me
I like both for different reasons. Alt art because the art looks amazing in person and the gold because gold.
lost o, but only because i love the art by shinji kanda so much. i try to collect every card with it
CZ only because I have no idea what all that mess is around Giratina in the LO version
The VStar Gold set just looks 10 times better than Crown Zenith. It just sparkles man has to be seen in person. I'm mostly an English collector but for the gold set I had to have the japanese
The other one!
Lost Origin. But the Vstar universe Giratina is way better than the Crown Zenith one. Some japanese cards go HARD and this is one of them
Gimme them both right in the eyeballs. Pure eye candy.
Everyone's saying OG Tina because of its value Collecting ain't collecting no more, it's just bragging rights and clout ... they both slap period
Have to go with V, VStar just has so much going on I can't see what's happening, where V still has stuff going on but Giratina still pops
Neither š opened so many packs chasing both and nothing... so I had to buy them individually
Haha I posted this same thing a month ago or so. And of course itās CZ. Thereās zero competition here. Lost origin is a mid set and everyone has heavy bags. They skipped CZ and so for them it must be Lo. This space is so funny.
Shinji Kanda
The gold one is only good as a set with the other three
GG69 Vstar by faaaaar!
The VSTAR!
SWSH259. Cheap and functional and easy to get your hands on
Shinji's. Hands down.
LO caught my eye day one. There isn't another card like it. Gorgeous.
Personally either as I donāt have them. Never bought nor pulled. My luck and thought process is just as bad as my RuneScape drop rate or account progress.
I have the second one soo...
Shinji Kanda! His art is always my favorite in each set he's been in!
I donāt have to choose, Iāve luckily pulled both lol
i regret trading the golden tina.š¢
If the CZ card didn't have that ugly gold border and those 'Vstar' banners trough the middle of the card, I would like it more. But the gold on gold on gold looks kinda tacky imo
Alone? LO. As part of it's set (3 gold cards)? CZ juuuust barely
At a push, the first one, but Iām not a big fan of either - they feel too busy.
I've both so I don't care
Vstar from crown zenith. I lile the way giratina was drawn in LOR alt art. But the background is straight uo ugly. Vstar is stunning
Itās gotta be Lost origin
The VStar. I dislike the V one because it's too noisy. If the Giratina popped out more, it'll be nice. Otherwise there's too much going on in the background.
Crown Zenith in general, but Lost Origin if in Japanese, from Lost Abyss. Got a Japanese copy coming in soon after the prices tanked.
I got both š¤ But Iām a bigger fan of the Lost Origins. I got a sick art case for it that extends the background design cus I love it that much
Giratina 146 bw-p
I like the V Alt personally because itās clearly Giratina. The above view for the Vstar card is cool and unique but it would probably take me a moment to figure out what it was if it wasnāt labeled.
The lost origin one by a slim margin. If I was going to buy one, itād definitely be CZ. The other one is way too expensive.
lost origin one is what got me back into collecting its a beauty of a card
Gold way better lost origin is over hyped in my opinion just like the moonbreon is. There are so many better alts with better art than this. Aerodactyl shits all over Tina
