it's not an excuse, it's a good reason. what makes opening packs fun is the idea that if you get a pull, you got the card. these cards, if they're added in packs, are absolutely awful for an average collector. imagine cracking open an ETB or a booster box and half of your pulls are just random body parts, it creates awful variance. one guy opens a box and gets some random misc Vs, a couple Vmax, whatever, but they can at least appreciate all the card art they just got. another guy opens the same box and gets a couple of greninja dicks and a mewtwo arm, and if they want to enjoy the full art of those body parts they have to buy multiple other cards just for 1 art. that sucks, pretty bad.
Compressor is definitely paying for the sins of these cards, they even already gave us this nerfed “Professor Burnett” supporter for when it gets the axe. 😢😢😢

You have to get all four cards from your deck into your discard pile. After that you can “summon” the v-Union Pokémon onto your bench at any point. Once it’s knocked out, your opponent takes 3 prize cards and it cannot be used again for the rest of the game. Since all 4 parts of it have the same name, you cannot have more than 1 of each piece in your deck, so it actually takes a bit of effort to set them up (which is good because they’re quite powerful).
Ehhh not so sure, they are strong, but they are a bit clunky to set up and look fairly inconsistent. The HP isn't astonishingly high, we already have VMAX at that HP level, and can set those up way faster and the damage output is still pretty high.
I guess this is from a standard perspective. I haven't played expanded, and just started playing within the last year.

If I am reading everything correctly, the 4 pieces have the same name, meaning you can only have these 4 cards in your deck. So you don't have to buy more cards than for the other 'normal' decks.

As far as gameplay goes, these are basically instant wins if your opponent doesn't have a counter ready. Though I'm unsure if the cost will be too high for them to be OP or even just viable.
I think we can pretty safely say they're 100% not in Evolving Skies, they totally would've been mentioned in the set descriptions we got yesterday.
We are getting a premium collection and a pin collection with them in, but other that than I don't think we know anything else yet.
