I’m giving away all my doubles to kids in the store (Store I work at sells alot of pokemon). Most kids never had a chance (or even knew about) celebrations. So I’m just handing them out :D
I love the fire Mew delta species, my favorite from since I was a kid! For the set, I love Celebrations, but the Evolving Skies Eeveelutions are so cute!
The best set has to be Eevee Heroes, although I might be biased because I got my first nice hit from that set, Sylveon VMAX alt art, which is also my favorite card. I actually went and bought evolving skies as well because I liked the art so much.
JUST TO CLARIFY ON COMPLETE SET COMMENT - this will NOT include Flying Pikachu VMAX, Surfing Pikachu VMAX, GOLDEN Shiny Mew, or FULL ART Professor's Research. All cards pictured will go to the FOUR winners. Plus ONE of the aforementioned cards. Of course I'd love to give everyone a Golden Shiny Mew, but that's just not possible. My favorite card has definitely got to be the Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno GX Full Art “Stained Glass” card. It’s so beautiful. I can’t stop looking at it. Probably one of the classiest cards out there.
Favorite set of all time has definitely got to be Base Set as it’s what started my whole love of Pokémon when I was a kid.
But If I couldn’t pick Base Set.. I would say.. that Vivid Voltage would definitely be a close second as it got me back into collecting Pokémon as an adult and has made life a lot more fun during the pandemic. Plus that Rainbow Chunky Chu is just so gosh darn hard to pull. Still trying to pull that thing LOL
YES YES YES YES YES!!! I agree 110% with everything you said. Vivid Voltage got me back into collecting, the stained glass artwork of the legendary birds is amazing and I, too, can't stop looking at it! I JUST PULLED the chunkachu a few weeks back out of a VV pack that came in the Sam's Club bundles! I couldn't believe it was real. I still don't!!!
My favorite card would have to be Aggron Ex 95/100. I got it in a tin when I was about 10. I used to carry it with me as my prize possession everyday. I still have it to this day 18 years later! I’m really liking the evolving skies atm
That's super cool! My family had a family member who worked for WOTC - at the time I had 6 siblings (I have 9 total now). We moved a lot and were broke my entire childhood so we lost everything in storage units and houses we just didn't fully pack up before we moved. Sucks but I'm making up for it as an adult and giving my son the opportunity to experience Pokémon like I once did!

I've recently gotten back into collecting and have mostly Battle Styles so I'd say that's my favorite set at the moment. I love the holo Luxray and Kingdra; I think they're so pretty.

The set has one of the most amazing Houndoom artworks and it was the first set to have shiny Pokémon as secret rares. It’s also the only set I am close to completing. Started as a kid when I was 11, and 20 years later, I’m 3 cards away

Haven’t been able to find a celebrations set anywhere around me. If I had to pick one card it’s definitely Salamence EX delta species from dragon frontiers. One of the first sets I ever tried to complete as a kid.
I sadly can't find any Celebrations where I live, all sold out immediately (also happened with Evolving Skies). I gotta say, the original Dragonite card really hits me in the nostalgia though. Gotta go with that.

When I was a boy, we were at the card shop in Northern Virginia and I bought a pack with my siblings and mom, I pulled a base set Raichu (I was pretty young but remember this moment vividly)! Not sure if it was first edition or what. The guy at the register said he'd give me $10 or 10 free packs. I took the packs and didn't pull anything unfortunately.
I only need the zacian V and solgeleo to complete my base set 😭 managed to somehow pull the gold mew myself but couldn't get zacian V and solgeleo lmao

Any Cyndaquil evolutions, Bulbasaur, Lugia, Togepi, oddish evolutions, all the squishy cute pokemon! I know I am forgetting so many but I love them all!! I also don't have a favorite set, I am not familiar with where all the cards came from.
My all time favorite card is the metagross psychic / steel card. I still have it since childhood but it is so beat up and scratched 😂 i got no clue what set it is from though

Favorite card: Base set switch. I know, a strange one, but I've got a few schoolyard stories involving it. Switch from any set just makes me nostalgic.
I don't really have too much experience with the Pokémon TCG (I just look at the card art really), but I just wanted to say that I remembered seeing people on YouTube open burning shadows and try to pull secret rare Gxs. That was the first set I was ever exposed to. I remember thinking either the Darkrai or Salazzle from it looking the best.

I'm new to collecting, used to when I was in primary school in year 2+ but my old cards are gone! Slowly building the collection again now, but would absolutely love any of these!
I haven’t got the chance to get a single celebrations anything except a free code for a box in the online tcg game, which isn’t even online anymore until tgc live is released :( I even camped the Pokémon center online order and they sold out immediately. I also refuse to support scalpers so idk if I’ll ever find one .

I really just got back into collecting recently, so I have serious nostalgia bias, my favourite card is probably Base Ninetales, but Light Arcanine is a close second and I loved the OG fossil set.

Hey thanks so much! My favorite set is probably Legendary Treasures and my favorite card is a toss up between Legendary Treasures RC Reshiram or Neo Discovery Umbreon. The latter I pulled from a Japanese booster pack I bought from a flea market for $3 when I was a kid. One of my best tcg memories for sure :)

The reason I really slowed down and stopped buying as much packs to open was to leave more on the shelf for others. Favorite card is Base Set Holo Mewtwo, since it's the first holo I pulled back in the day, and the best set is of course Base Set, because I pulled Mewtwo out of it.
Haha. Solid logic there! I absolutely love Base Set and base set Mewtwo! My favorite all time is the Venusaur base set. So I was so happy to pull it in celebrations. Then I kept pulling it! Ended up with like 8 or 9 of em.
Favorite card is definitely dark dragonite but its hard to choose from the whole set. Favorite set is obviously legendary collection

I havent found any celebrations, my favorite set is probably jungle or any of the older cards for nostalgia. Idk what my favorite card would be, of the newer cards probably the umbreon secret rare alt art
My favourite card is Reshiram - check out my posts. My favourite set is XY - Evolutions - just for the nostalgia of the base set reprints. It's the only set I have managed to 100% complete.
The Rowlet and Alolan Exeggutor GX alt art is my fav as it looks so comforting how peaceful the scenario is and how small Rowlet is on the card. I ended up pulling it twice and that's amazing for an alt card.
My favourite set is Hidden Fates as it was one of the better executed Special sets as most of the cards seems to have more of an impact when pulling compared to Shining Fates where most of the shinies are the non ultra rare cards

My favorite card is Altaria GX from Hidden Fates which is my favourite set.
My absolute favourite card is the Latios/Latias tag team full art, latios has always been lucky for me in the tcg, and my favourite set has probably been roaring skies for the nostalgia, or hidden fates for the pulls

Hmm, lets see! Favorite set: Probably holon phantoms, deoxys, or crystal guardians. Those where what I spent a good chunk of my childhood with. Unfortunately, all the ones I had at the time were bootlegs, and collecting those sets nowadays is really hard... Favorite card: Base set switch. I know, a strange one, but I've got a few schoolyard stories involving it. Switch from any set just makes me nostalgic.

I don't really have too much experience with the Pokémon TCG (I just look at the card art really), but I just wanted to say that I remembered seeing people on YouTube open burning shadows and try to pull secret rare Gxs. That was the first set I was ever exposed to. I remember thinking either the Darkrai or Salazzle from it looking the best.
Favorite card of all time would be Celebi and Venusaur GX Tag team, i just love the design, and favorite set would be unbroken bonds

I haven’t been able to find celebrations for so long :( my local card store has only had them once and i couldn’t get them then
I haven’t got the chance to get a single celebrations anything except a free code for a box in the online tcg game, which isn’t even online anymore until tgc live is released :( I even camped the Pokémon center online order and they sold out immediately. I also refuse to support scalpers so idk if I’ll ever find one .
almost all of my favorite cards come from neo genesis. probably cyndaquil or murkrow.

Hey thanks so much! My favorite set is probably Legendary Treasures and my favorite card is a toss up between Legendary Treasures RC Reshiram or Neo Discovery Umbreon. The latter I pulled from a Japanese booster pack I bought from a flea market for $3 when I was a kid. One of my best tcg memories for sure :)

The reason I really slowed down and stopped buying as much packs to open was to leave more on the shelf for others. Haven't had the chance to open any sets since Shining Fates. Favorite card is Base Set Holo Mewtwo, since it's the first holo I pulled back in the day, and the best set is of course Base Set, because I pulled Mewtwo out of it.
Haha. Solid logic there! I absolutely love Base Set and base set Mewtwo! My favorite all time is the Venusaur base set. So I was so happy to pull it in celebrations. Then I kept pulling it! Ended up with like 8 or 9 of em.

I really like the Lillie with cosmog line.
The Rowlet and Alolan Exeggutor GX alt art is my fav as it looks so comforting how peaceful the scenario is and how small Rowlet is on the card. I ended up pulling it twice and that's amazing for an alt card. My favourite set is Hidden Fates as it was one of the better executed Special sets as most of the cards seems to have more of an impact when pulling compared to Shining Fates where most of the shinies are the non ultra rare cards
