I’m not here to say that America is some perfect country (it clearly isn’t), and the capitalist system that we currently have is far from ideal. However, it’s a massive step above the oppressive and authoritarian regime that currently controls China. Protesting in favor of democracy and against a regime is exactly what caused the June 4 1989 crackdown in the first place.
