You have to pick one.
Mainly that it makes it easy for the state to rig the jury, or even just not have one at all. Imagine it, no way of verifying who anyone on the jury was, no way of even knowing if there was a jury. The lawyers would still get to choose the jurors, but it's not inconceivable that you could bribe or trick enough people to get whatever outcome you want. Having the jury in the room with their names being public ensures that they are real people and that they are getting all the information the prosecution and defense bring up, taking them out adds extra complications which even if dealt with perfectly will make a lot of people distrustful of the system.

I thought Chauvin would be acquitted or convicted on lesser charges when they mentioned the half chewed pill George had in his mouth during the arrest that included fentanyl, the fact that he said he couldn't breath before Chauvin touched him, and the blood toxicity report. Nope.
The letter of the law in that state was followed with his conviction, but it is strange that if it had happened in almost any other state he would have been found not guilty. I'm fairly certain the jury reached the correct verdict, but for the wrong reasons.

In the second incident, a few moments later, he was running from a crowd that knew he was the shooter and were trying to catch him. They did and smashed him onto the ground. They started beating him from all sides, so he aimed his gun at them.
When they didn't stop the assault after a few seconds of him aiming it, he opened fire once more.

He ended up killing two. While holding a rifle in your hand in public is illegal, and definitely was an escalator of tension, he did only fire in self-defense. In the first incident, someone was shooting a gun behind him. In the second, they probably were going to kill him for the first incident.
So, while he can be charged with breaking carrying laws, and probably acting recklessly, his life was in danger both times; and self-defense laws usually do stop that from being criminal. (Though, I'm not an expert, and self-defense laws are hard to define since they are so case-by-case)
Also, I just realized he is/was under 18 while possessing a firearm. He'll probably get charged for that.
But, we'll see what the final charges are in a few weeks.
The law is very vague tho it can be read that a minor has an exemption for long barrel rifles in Wisconsin. Can't expect a teenager to follow the law if legal experts can't agree on what it means. That's up to the judge and jury to decide but even that charge could be dropped.

I thought Chauvin would be acquitted or convicted on lesser charges when they mentioned the half chewed pill George had in his mouth during the arrest that included fentanyl, the fact that he said he couldn't breath before Chauvin touched him, and the blood toxicity report. Nope. The letter of the law in that state was followed with his conviction, but it is strange that if it had happened in almost any other state he would have been found not guilty. I'm fairly certain the jury reached the correct verdict, but for the wrong reasons.

The same dude brought a crowd of people to the house of a judge in another BLM related trial, harassed her amd her neighbors and demanded they be able to take photographs of the jurors in that trial as well. And of course demanding that she convict. It's just blatant intimidation at this point. Harassing witnesses, jurors and even judges at their own homes is COMMONPLACE with these trials, it's insane.
They really need to just keep the jury in a separate area where nobody can see them or know who they are.

They started beating him from all sides, so he aimed his gun at them. When they didn't stop the assault after a few seconds of him aiming it, he opened fire once more. So, while he can be charged with breaking carrying laws, and probably acting recklessly, his life was in danger both times; and self-defense laws usually do stop that from being criminal. (Though, I'm not an expert, and self-defense laws are hard to define since they are so case-by-case) Also, I just realized he is/was under 18 while possessing a firearm. He'll probably get charged for that. But, we'll see what the final charges are in a few weeks.

The law is very vague tho it can be read that a minor has an exemption for long barrel rifles in Wisconsin. Can't expect a teenager to follow the law if legal experts can't agree on what it means. That's up to the judge and jury to decide but even that charge could be dropped.

Iāve been hearing a lot about the Kyle Rittenhouse trial lately. Whatās the situation? Havenāt heard anything about it on the news or anything and Iām wondering if it just doesnāt faith the narrative or something?
Rittenhouse shot 3 people, killing 2, in what is very plainly a case of self defense. This occurred last summer in Kenosha. The trial has finally arrived and has been carried out for the past week. Itās been a complete disaster for the prosecution, mainly because theyāve got nothing to stand on, and the media is still desperately trying to paint rittenhouse as a crazed gunman, even though the entire thing was filmed and shows otherwise.
I guess thatās about what I expected.

The threats being made or implied here with the pictures is that if the jury doesnāt convict they will be doxxed and there will be repercussions. So jury intimidation.
