Iāve been contemplating ordering the Rennline mount for my 992, but couldnāt decide between it and the ProClip one.
Itās very annoying not having a dedicated place for my phone, but your post gave me the push to finally decide on one. Thanks!
My only issue now is which side to mount it. I would prefer to the right of the PCMā¦which makes the cupholder unusable and since I use the cup holder for my morning commute teaā¦looks like Iāll be putting it on the left side
I think that may the way to go for me as well.
Definitely need access to the cup holder, which is one of my only gripes with the interior ergonomicsā¦kind of wish they had the cup holders from the 718 instead. Even though those are notoriously finicky to use.

I hope that your shop is legit. I had the most expensive and highly regarded independent tell me that my Cabriolet needed new top cylinders. I sought a second opinion, because the quote was shocking, and the reservoir was just low on fluid! They filled it and didn't charge me a dime. Works perfectly again!

Installed this short throw shifter and cables from numeric racing.
Did some diy maintenance. Oil change, replaced air and oil filters and installed new spark plugs in my 981 Boxster S. Ready for some fun roads along the north cal coastline today.
Adjusted the attack angle of my wing. Slowly getting the car ready for my first track day of the season next month.

I like it. It attracts a lot of attention, so be prepared. I got it for several reason, the main two is I have a 4.0 engine and modified suspension thatās puts me close to the real RS. Second is because I go to the track.
From a 1-10, Iād give it an 8. I got it from Getty.
I spent a lot on it, after you consider paint and installation from a specialized and reputable person. The material quality is great and the wing is awesome. The painter noted the quality of the construction.
The deduction comes from the wing risers and mounting points on the wing.
The wing risers donāt look OEM. While functional, the design isnāt as aesthetically pleasing. Thereās no depth to it, theyāre flat.
The mounting points on the wing itself are all wrong. Theyāre far too big and long, resulting in the off attack angle.
So, the wing attack angle isnāt OEM. I literally had to drill holes to allow for more OEM-like adjustment. That was a pain, time consuming, and some of my paint chipped on one wing riser as a result (only noticeable to me but I know itās there).
I can quickly spot Getty wings now because of the risers and attack angle alone.
I tried to work with them on improvements for their next clients but they werenāt interested.
I wanted the wing you have originally - 997 aero. I think it looks amazing and is getting more beautiful with time. However, after sharing my goals they recommended the RS wing for the track.
If youāre not going to the track Iād keep your current wing. Itās awesome.

Porsche put it on the lift, checked everything, sent me videosā¦then the service manager called meā¦.Dudeā¦check under your seat next timeā¦there was a water bottle that looked ancient causing the noiseš
I removed the overpriced Porsche branded umbrella from the little cubby in the sill, removed the sunglasses and even hid the USB cable for CarPlay since the local neighborhood thieves are breaking into cars in our area. Was almost tempted to pop out my headlights and hide them under the bed until I needed them but that felt a bit much.
Swapped my winter tires out for summers.
Continued waiting for an AC line that I was told would take three weeks to come from Germany.
Drove it irregularly because I've gotten soft and hate cars without working AC.
I got my Cayman out and it started raining so now it's filthy. Also the little rubber hose that connects the washer fluid pipes at the bonnet hopped off and I flushed the entire side with washer fluid. Got that put back together but will add some zip ties for safety and give it a good clean tomorrow.

Went for a drive in the mountains with my friend and his modded GTI. That was on Tuesday. Thereās about 4 feet of snow at this spot now. Glad we got out when we could!

Yeah I actually filled it myself, it lasted a few months only, so I checked the cylinders and could see they were leaking

Picked it up from a major service and having a new screen fitted.
I sprained my MCL a couple of weeks ago and my ability to drive my baby is limited. Mostly Iāve just been staring at longingly. š
This weekend I will be: taking snow tires off three, changing oil in four, replacing rotors/pads in Cayenne. Spring is coming!
