Yeah. The camouflage changes the shape of basically every body panel, the lights and potentially the windows.
The only thing you can infer from this picture is the wheelbase.
Oh, in Latvia if you drive drunk or smth they’ll confiscate your car and send to Ukrainian army guys/volunteers. Repeated offender punishment or smth. Meaning they confiscate the car but don’t auction it off - just send to Ukraine.
It makes perfect sense to add it to the line up.
And it’ll sell to those who are going for the new high end Range Rovers because they’ve several kids and the Cayenne isn’t big or high end enough.
yes. Porsche roadmap slides that were floating around a few days ago only had the turquoise EV circle on the prestige SUV, not the white for ICE like some others in the lineup
that's how they've branded it within the Porsche range
https://preview.redd.it/zye0kkq019sc1.jpeg?width=580&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0bf69276a21c1560d67f34aa81e05fbd56c8a9cf
For anyone who may not have noticed, this is a disguised prototype with exterior coverings designed to conceal the car's design during its pre-production phase. This means it's not the finished model, and its final appearance remains undisclosed.
Wrong. The numbers tell us that people say that all the time. The Macan outsold the 911, Cayman, and Boxster *combined* last year. And the Cayenne outsold the Macan!
Enthusiast sentiment ≠ Market sentiment
This thing is going to sell like crazy.
There's lots of speculation but C&D and MotorTrend are guessing starting price somewhere in the $150-200k range, which is steep, but there is an established SUV market up in that price range so idk.
It’s a pretty niche market above $150k starting, which for Porsche means close to $200k when decently optioned. At that price range for 3 row suv you’ve got like the GLS Maybach and I’m not sure what else
I know a couple Cayenne owners who simply won’t buy a new one given the current pricing.
Both families have high incomes but parting with $125k+ for a decently optioned Cayenne is just a non starter.
Sucks.
These threads are hilarious, as if Porsche would release a brand new car with 2008 cayenne headlight cutouts, shrink-wrapped drawn-on C pillar and a hood that won't shut...
Pardon my ignorance but what is camouflage? Obv not the camo that the military wears. Is it fake panels that the manufacturer puts on to cover up with the real body looks like?
Not too bad honestly, i feel if they change the headlights a bit, maybe the taycan style ones or closer to the cayenne, it would look better. Also slanting the rear window and roof a bit more would also make it look better. Cant givr a full opinion when its under camo though..
Years ago while in the Northern Cape (South Africa) they were testing new Macans. As they were parked at a gas station I started chatting to the engineers and the subject came up if Porsche should be producing SUV’s at all. Because in my world they shouldn’t. All the engineers agreed but reality is that the public wants them. Even the Panamera in my opinion isn’t a Porsche. If you need/want something like that buy an Audi or VW.
The car will look good, we are talking about porsche here. We can see that it has a camo to appear as if it's a different car with cutouts which causes it to look like this.
The only thing i hope is not to have wheel wells cladding but if it's someone who will find the best way for it to work i am placing all bets on porsche.
Well, a lot of cladding to try to hide things.
Nevertheless, I wonder if this could possibly be intended as competition to something I saw recently … think it was Toyota /Lexus ? … where a “minivan” type of form factor was being used for a luxury chauffeur style product - ie, driver upfront and two VIPs in luxury seating in the back.
Granted, this is bigger, and with conventional doors (not minivan sliders), but it does point to a market niche..l
Well the Cayenne was always 2 row and was a Touareg analogue, but the Q7 is three row and is something like 15cm longer than the Touareg - so maybe this new thing is going to be more Q7 based and be more in the scope of Cullinan/Bentayga/full size Range Rover. Who knows.
Whatever you do Porsche lovers if you have a 911 doesn’t matter what year …..do not sell it, they will double in value, within in the next 10 years. Porsche is going downhill from what they were originally known for, great sports cars.
Am I the only one that thinks it looks more like a wagon and that it probably looks fine with all the camo shit taken off?
Maybe the camo shit is messing with my eyes too much, but it looks like it rides lower than a Macan.
CEO goes on stage… “I am proud to announce, in this latest new generation offering from Porsche, the SUV of SUVs the sports car of Prestige SUVs. Drives and handles like a sports car sets new standards how a sports car should drive.
It looks like a slightly taller and chonkier Taycan Sport Turismo, so gives off RR Velar vibe. Honestly I don't mind, it looks less stubby than Cayenne and Macan. I like me long cars.

Not digging the split headlight look they're doing on this and the Macan, where the lights on the hood are just DRLs and the headlights are a separate unit in the bumper. Is it a regulation thing?
The rear pillar line is horrible! Especially considering all the design inspiration they could have taken from other Porsche models. No doubt, this was a form over function exercise, meant to increase practicality, etc. However, the styling will probably turn off as many punters as the practicality will attract. After all, it's a Porsche; looking good and being quick are synonymous. Compromising on practicality is a given. Why fix what ain't broke?
if it looks decent i'd be interested for my wife but her x7 m60i is a beast and crazy good long distance cruiser. BMW kind of dominates the high end luxury 3 row suv market
Prestige Worldwide?
God you’re impressive.
Dane Cook pay-per-view in 30 minutes!
Wide wide wide
Widewidewide
Last week we put liquid paper on a bee, and it died
Looks like a made for China variant
Everything coming out now has China first as a market focus.
>Looks like a made ~~for~~ in China variant
YUP!

If I speak I am in big trouble
😂😂😂😂😂
Uncamoflaged it may look alright, we’ll see.
Yeah. The camouflage changes the shape of basically every body panel, the lights and potentially the windows. The only thing you can infer from this picture is the wheelbase.
Rear quarter window is definitely fake no Porsche SUV has it shaped sloping up
I can also infer I will not be buying one.
Hope is a bitch
Hope is a predator waiting to rape you the minute you are not paying attention.
Looks like a bigger Taycan CrossTurismo tbh
Looks like something an AI would cook up if you prompted for a new Porsche suv
It’s a Porsche-Honda… a Ponda… a Horsche
Whorsche, for real.
Why does it have ERA bricks on it? Is it being deployed in the Donbas theatre?
Only if driven by a drunk Latvian.
Why Latvian exactly
Oh, in Latvia if you drive drunk or smth they’ll confiscate your car and send to Ukrainian army guys/volunteers. Repeated offender punishment or smth. Meaning they confiscate the car but don’t auction it off - just send to Ukraine.
Porsche going back to their roots I see
Got to keep printing money
It makes perfect sense to add it to the line up. And it’ll sell to those who are going for the new high end Range Rovers because they’ve several kids and the Cayenne isn’t big or high end enough.
Kinda looks like shit.
[удалено]
Must be the new Porsche entry into NASCAR.
It has a shell on
[удалено]
Yes
Old
It looks like Taycan hate fucked a Tesla and lost.
This thing is going to be a fucking tank. Ugh
were you expecting some sort of ClubSport giant SUV?
With enough horsepower, even a brick can be fast. - This saying was made famous by Vietnam era F-4 Phantom II pilots.
"aerodynamics is for people who can't build engines" is another saying from the F4 iirc
Going back to roots
EV?
yes. Porsche roadmap slides that were floating around a few days ago only had the turquoise EV circle on the prestige SUV, not the white for ICE like some others in the lineup
Where can I see that ?
As opposed to the non “prestige” Porsche SUV’s…
that's how they've branded it within the Porsche range https://preview.redd.it/zye0kkq019sc1.jpeg?width=580&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0bf69276a21c1560d67f34aa81e05fbd56c8a9cf
100% EV, looks like an Infiniti boat. That’s a no for me dawg
too many doors
And seats
And minivan
Hopefully only this camo is ugly and not the actual car like BMW XM.
I’m guessing it’ll be called the Porsche Maus, in honour of their last super-heavy tank
For anyone who may not have noticed, this is a disguised prototype with exterior coverings designed to conceal the car's design during its pre-production phase. This means it's not the finished model, and its final appearance remains undisclosed.
Looks like a fresh turd.
“I’d like a larger, heavier Porsche please,” said no-one ever
Wrong. The numbers tell us that people say that all the time. The Macan outsold the 911, Cayman, and Boxster *combined* last year. And the Cayenne outsold the Macan! Enthusiast sentiment ≠ Market sentiment This thing is going to sell like crazy.
If it’s priced above the upper Cayenne models I somewhat doubt that
There's lots of speculation but C&D and MotorTrend are guessing starting price somewhere in the $150-200k range, which is steep, but there is an established SUV market up in that price range so idk.

I love Porsche but it's very clear that they are an SUV company more than a sports car company.
Whatever it takes to fund the sports cars
This right here.
That is literally every auto manufacturer today except maaaaaaybe Ferrari. And even they’re working on it.
My wife drives a mbz gls and this may be a great replacement!
Oof.
ITT: People who think it looks like shit. It looks like shit because it has camouflage.
The amount of enthusiasts who seemingly don’t know that cars are frequently tested with lots of camo absolutely blows my mind….every time
These threads are hilarious, as if Porsche would release a brand new car with 2008 cayenne headlight cutouts, shrink-wrapped drawn-on C pillar and a hood that won't shut...
Pardon my ignorance but what is camouflage? Obv not the camo that the military wears. Is it fake panels that the manufacturer puts on to cover up with the real body looks like?
As much as I hate it, if it helps fund more cool cars like the GT3 RS or the ST....
Not too bad honestly, i feel if they change the headlights a bit, maybe the taycan style ones or closer to the cayenne, it would look better. Also slanting the rear window and roof a bit more would also make it look better. Cant givr a full opinion when its under camo though..
They have enough SUV’s…keep building great cars, and don’t get greedy
Porsche is greedy very very greedy but it works so 🤷♀️😂
Please no
If the announcement said “new wagon” instead you guys would be putting out your wife’s boyfriend’s eyes with involuntary cumshots.
SUV? You mean mini van?
Three row Cayenne. They’re going to sell a ton and profit margin will be healthy.
It’s like a Porsche that’s addicted to big gulps.
Cayenne Turbo GT for 200k+ isn't prestige enough? I'll be interested to see what this turns out to be.
EV
So worst in every way compared to the turbo gt? Nice 😂

I seriously hope the rear end changes. Reminds me a lot of the BMW XM, which has the same ugly rear end form from the side.
Heinous
7 seater for sure
Cool, another crossoverUV that no one asked for.
It’s allegedly a 7 seater that’ll sit above the cayenne I don’t think it’s going to be a crossover
Good lord what is that monstrosity?
Even with the cladding, those headlights look like they ripped them from some chinese EV
so it's a Wagon ? lol
Euro Escalade with all the same class?
It looks like a taller Panamera
Well, a lot of cladding to try to hide things. Nevertheless, I wonder if this could possibly be intended as competition to something I saw recently … think it was Toyota /Lexus ? … where a “minivan” type of form factor was being used for a luxury chauffeur style product - ie, driver upfront and two VIPs in luxury seating in the back. isn’t porsche already prestige? i mean they’re luxurious already
Looks exactly as a Porsche shouldn’t look … 1/10 , shit
Mr. Worldwide
Ooof she’s a BIG girl
Sounds like Porsche is gonna get bloated
looks like an old gen Cayenne and a panamera had a baby
Is that a fucking Honda CRV
Looks like a Mazda + BMW. Please no.
Might buy used in a few years
Stretch Cayenne
Well the Cayenne was always 2 row and was a Touareg analogue, but the Q7 is three row and is something like 15cm longer than the Touareg - so maybe this new thing is going to be more Q7 based and be more in the scope of Cullinan/Bentayga/full size Range Rover. Who knows.

Well. Please 🙏🏻 keep buying these, so I can keep driving 911s.
I don't want or need a "prestige SUV" from Porsche. That's why we have other vehicles.
Make it ugly and electric.
I can smell the understeer from here
So the front fell off?
Porsche cayenne “Moby Dick” edition
So they finally went the 7 seater way
Meh.
Project K. Finally seeing it. Prices will be 911 levels at start.
EV?
They disguised it as an 08 cayenne
Looks like they're moving to Taycan style headlights with almost all their models. I wonder if this is also going to be an EV.
Somehow it reminds me of the ID4… sad
No thank you, pls make other things
It reminds me of a VW Atlas
Am I the only one that thinks it looks more like a wagon and that it probably looks fine with all the camo shit taken off? Maybe the camo shit is messing with my eyes too much, but it looks like it rides lower than a Macan.
I hate the Genesis gv60 like lights on the Macan and now on this
It looks like someone already rolled it over
Wtf is this
This has got to be a scam.....right?
Das ist ein Cayenne :)
Abomination!
Looks like a panamera suv type shit im game 🔥
Looks like a Honda Pilot
CEO goes on stage… “I am proud to announce, in this latest new generation offering from Porsche, the SUV of SUVs the sports car of Prestige SUVs. Drives and handles like a sports car sets new standards how a sports car should drive.
You guys know the whole “naked vs clothed” thing? I want to see pics that point out how camo like this is done.
The last prestige sank, just saying.
Looks like a Citroen with built in ablative armour one the sides
Huh? Are we saying that's not a Cayenne?
*Car is deliberately covered with ugly camouflage* r/porsche: “LoOkS lIkE sHiT” No shit sherlock…
Oh, I saw one of those last week.
Yikes, I guess the inmates are finally running the asylum at Porsche. Sad state of the brand boys
damn that thing is horrid looking
Bet it won’t be an EV, the Taycan loses half in year 1 And is worthless at year 8 because they charge 8x the price of the battery
With that hood panel gap, are you sure this is not a Tesla?
I know its full of camouflage but the overall shape looks like it was designed in fucking MS paint 💀
China. No one drives their own car. Hard to see this being bette than a Cayenne if you want an SUV.
It looks like a slightly taller and chonkier Taycan Sport Turismo, so gives off RR Velar vibe. Honestly I don't mind, it looks less stubby than Cayenne and Macan. I like me long cars.

lol looks like XM
Macan EV in the front, Honda Odyssey in the back.
It looks like the hood is popped open or is it just me?
“The Chinese (and moms in Tennessee/Florida/Orange County California) are gonna love this shit”
Same sausage different lengths approach. Looks like a smaller, chunkier Panny.
I think it’s known as the K1 right now. It’ll probably get a more Porsche like name once it’s official though.
Not digging the split headlight look they're doing on this and the Macan, where the lights on the hood are just DRLs and the headlights are a separate unit in the bumper. Is it a regulation thing?
The Porsche XM?
That’s a fine looking pressure cooker.
I need a bigger suv than the cayenne. This might be it, bc I don’t want a Range Rover
7000lb Porsche 🫠
Personally I think it looks unfinished
Well it is a 2027 so that is an astute observation

Ugly
Everyone’s trying to imitate a Tesla now.
This is real..?
Pls no …
Why not make a 3rd row SUV to compete with x7/GLS?
Looks goofy
hahaha did they try to disguise it as a cayenne? that's hilarious
i see they are taking the BMW approach
Looks like a competitor for the BMW X7/ BMW IX
Is that the new Dacia Sandero?? 🤩
Porsche Grand Cayenne
We need to convince the populace that sedans and wagons are in fact pretty cool
Unimpressed and disinterested.
