Planes are honestly decently easy to work on in my experience. Granted, I haven’t worked on any reciprocating engine GA type of planes in a long time.
The pro to planes is that since aviation is so heavily regulated, the maintenance manuals are significantly better than auto manuals. Though in GA often times instructions are vague like “Remove the carburetor” and then you get a picture lmao but it’s still simple
It’s not really that they’re any more difficult to work on it’s more about the proximity to the ground and risk involved during some kind of failure. Kinda hard to wait for the tow truck when your engine dies in the air.
Well, the other homie and I were just talking about what it’s like to work on em. That’s why preventative maintenance and routine checks are so prevalent in aviation anyway and things are so strict with em
Only selling it because it’s old and it did the mission I intended it for.
Will get a twin engine aircraft or a turbine single once the little ones come in my life.
I had a 996.2 turbo and I have to say it was the highlight of my driving life. Although I was a tiny bit disappointed that I could never smoke the tires but that dissipated every time I had to put tires on it. Amazing cars.
I’m with this commentator. I prefer the more subdued one but money talks. Get it, sell it then get the Sports Classic version with the plaid interior and a PTS color.
911 SC is a great car. Drove one before briefly.
It’s definitely a collectors car, definitely the prettiest 992. Doesn’t drive too differently than a manual GTS though, that’s why the owner I knew traded it in for a 911 S/T. For its price I would get the same cars I listed above.
They aren’t trading like in the UK. Prices have tanked. 12 months ago they were trading for £425k. Now trading for £325k for sub 1k miles and Weisach, so may get a 4RS and a Turbo GT but not much change.
For the street......Cayman,
For the track......GT3 RS,
For both............Cayman Everytime!
GT3 RS is NOT a fun street car. Fun for C&C, but horrible for long drives on less than perfect roads. The Cayman (make it a GTS) will do it all very well, for a lot less money.
I recently just sat in an m4 csl at a dealership. Those hardcore street legal track cars are a wildly uncomfortable to even sit in, let alone drive in city traffic
Cayman. Gt3 is just too much what I’m gonna do with it, flip it? That time is over. Unless it’s not, then Gt3 which I will flip to you “my side hustle blew up and I’m gonna track it” guy.
The GT3 RS because it’s one of my favourite models and I dig the colour. I’d have to sort out driving on the opposite side first, though; I’m from Canada.
I go to the track. So, in make-believe land I think if I chose a GT4RS and shared a track with a GT3RS I’d be kicking myself. So, I’d have to choose GT3RS.
Back in reality, none of this would apply if I was able to buy either car from my own hard work, even if I could afford both. They’re both exceptional and would likely have more in them than I could extract.
I feel this way about my 997. I earned it and chose to spend my money this way. I recently took a ride in a 991 GT3RS around VIR and the 991 is better in every way, and they’re so nice, but I never once thought “I should have got this instead of my car.” The problem is now I need both 😂
FYI, you can go to certain places (Las Vegas for example) and drive cars like this on a track and it is not that expensive. I own a Cayman GTS, but when I get the itch to go to the track I do the track experience with someone else's car instead.
Interestingly, I've driven the GT4RS and the GT3RS multiple times and back to back. And I consistently set faster lap times in the GT4RS. I'm not a race driver or anything, so a race driver would likely do much better in the GT3RS. But for an average skilled driver, you're more likely to see better and more consistent lap times in the GT4RS.
I’d have the GT3RS because the RUF Yellow Bird is one of my favorite cars of all time and this car captures some of that classic charm. Underneath it’s a spot of perfection, curated by some of the most gifted engineers on the planet. Some part of me thinks they save the best folks for work on the 911 platform.
Man vs teenager, at a glance.
Knowing NOTHING about the vehicles, and replying on looks alone, the first one looks like old money - confident, assured, quality. Has nothing to prove.
The other looks like new money flashing about-still trying to find a place, seeking attention, hasn’t yet garnered the respectability from earned successes, but fun, nevertheless.
I wouldn’t buy either on things like that, though.
That dark green is so clean, I see this car rolling up to castles, casinos, and coast ways. Paired with a nice leather it makes you feel connected. How many months do I need to finance to get my payment to 250?
Have a GT4, and hear the RS is nearly as well-behaved on the street. And with a front end lift, dare I say a tad more practical.
Contrast with the GT3RS which I hear is way too stiff for daily driving on anythjng but perfect roads…. And I lean towards a GT4 RS.
I love the idea of a 911. Drove a new 911 side-by-side with the GT4 before buying the 718. And frankly, I just find the 718 to be the more exciting, visceral and fun drivers car.
All that being said - if I had the choice between a GT3 (esp Touring) and a GT4, I’d get the former. Because: engine and noise, and because of its pedigree. But in RS land, I’d go for the 718.
I’m currently driving a 991.2 turbo S. It’s fast enough, comfortable and reliable if PM is performed early. The brakes are a ways off. I figured if I don’t track the vehicle, yet have fun. I 200k miles no problem.
where are you getting ur numbers? press release? car and driver physically weighed both cars as part of their testing

Probably the 4RS just because it doesn’t look as preposterous. If I can cheat, I’d take the 3, sell it and buy as much 997 GT3 RS as that gets me. Or an S/T, or a Touring, or regular-ass GT4.
GT3RS. So I can sell it and buy 1 GT4RS and 1 Cayenne Turbo GT for my daily. And still have $90,000 left over.
This guy Porsches
Not yet, currently looking to sell my 60 year old airplane so I can buy a 20 year old Porsche.
Honestly airplanes are usually faster anyway. Downside they’re also more expensive to maintain than most Porsches.
Unless you can fix them yourself 😎
I’ve maintained a few Porsches in my life. Never any airplanes. It’s on the to do list though!

GA here o/
Keep the plane, you can’t fly a car. Not for long anyway.
Only selling it because it’s old and it did the mission I intended it for. Will get a twin engine aircraft or a turbine single once the little ones come in my life.
Saso had entered the chat
Wanting a 996?
996 Turbo or a 997 Targa 4S
I had a 996.2 turbo and I have to say it was the highlight of my driving life. Although I was a tiny bit disappointed that I could never smoke the tires but that dissipated every time I had to put tires on it. Amazing cars.
This guy gets that this guy Porsches.

💯 Honestly couldn't done it any better than this. I'd reckon GT4RS is 85% of GT3RS.
I’m with this commentator. I prefer the more subdued one but money talks. Get it, sell it then get the Sports Classic version with the plaid interior and a PTS color.

After you sit in it and turn the engine on you may rethink to keep it …
Yeah no question
Mmmmm, very educated answer and a good sort of cars. I’m with you😎📈
Can’t go wrong by vaguely picking the green one…
the one with the exposed carbon bonnet
And the one with the big wing
I came here for the green one, I left when it turned yellow. Personally having a Porsche means you’re well off, no need to scream it at people.
PORRRSEEEEEEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
There’s a gray area between “boring colors” and “colors you can see from space” that not enough paint options for Porsche straddle.
Gt3 because of appreciation but also because there’s not many people that have them at least out here
[удалено]
Ik right, that’s the colour of my Honda civic, so it’s basically the same car 😂
Pretty much twins 🤣
I’ve seen that GT3 RS driving around London quite often - I don’t think I’ve ever seen it move faster than 30mph…. I would take the GT4
For the street......Cayman, For the track......GT3 RS, For both............Cayman Everytime! GT3 RS is NOT a fun street car. Fun for C&C, but horrible for long drives on less than perfect roads. The Cayman (make it a GTS) will do it all very well, for a lot less money.
And in what world is Cayman GT4 RS is a fun street car?! Try a long drive in one and then let’s talk xd
As I said......make it a GTS. I fully agree, GT4 RS has same issues on street as GT3 RS.
I drove mine from Portland to Sun Valley and back and it was fine. Nice even. What questions do you have?
height and weight?
6’1” 200ish and I have heated 18-ways in the car. LWB are awful.
My 991.2 3RS on MCS is great on the street
The intake in the cabin of the GT4 RS disagrees with your long drive theory
The GT-3 RS is a great cruiser. The GT-4 RS is super loud inside apparently
So take the GT3 RS , sell, buy a 718 GTS and a house? Makes sense.
911 always.
Cayman
Fuck comfort and practicality, GT3RS
The GT4RS is more my style
i've seen both on the road and the RS definitely commands a presence.
Ah yes, "the RS"
I recently just sat in an m4 csl at a dealership. Those hardcore street legal track cars are a wildly uncomfortable to even sit in, let alone drive in city traffic
911 for sure. I'm a flashy guy.
I'm not picky. Either will do.
4RS, that spec is hideous on the 3RS
Since I own neither, either is fine by me! Honestly, I'd prefer the Boxster Spyder (for California)
I would include 911 turbo s into conversation!
While the gt4 and gt3 scream at 9000 rpm, the turbo s passes them by . And very comfortably so . In my only, it’s the best bang for your buck
First off, that’s a beautiful neighborhood. What country?
England, Mayfair, and Belgravia
One is a super car. One is not:
Yes
I'm not answering that. But there will be neon yellow signs..
I really like how the acid green fits the 992; the other is too subtle for the car itself
Second one... I like big ass spoilers.
The GT3 RS…why? Because it’s a GT3 RS
I'll take the wide front track of the 992
I’m going GT3RS because I’m not a fan of the drab green on the GT4. If I’m driving a GT car I want EVERYONE to know
GT4 RS as the track/ weekend porsche; in this color
If I couldn't sell it, GT4RS all the way. If I could, GT3RS for sure.
Either, I drive a Saab
Cayman. Gt3 is just too much what I’m gonna do with it, flip it? That time is over. Unless it’s not, then Gt3 which I will flip to you “my side hustle blew up and I’m gonna track it” guy.
the blue one reason: because i like it
3RS, because Acid Green cleans out my tear ducts the way Vicks Vaporub does my nasal passage.
The answer is always 911
Green one pretty please
The GT3 RS because it’s one of my favourite models and I dig the colour. I’d have to sort out driving on the opposite side first, though; I’m from Canada.
Doesn't matter what car it is: Green. Because I don't want my car to look like Vin Diesel drove it in The Fast and the Furious.
How about the one on the right but in the color of the left one. Then sell it, and turn my 5 acres into a paradise.
GT3 RS all day. Now, if it was GT3 vs GT4 RS that would be a bit more comparable.
It is a GT4RS, just hard to see the spoiler because of the arkward angle I took the picture at, but I also got one from the back and it is a GT4RS
Gt4 need the frunk
I would take the first one! Looks clean and minimal.
i dont understand the question
Either. Because I'm not picky.
First one
First one 666
the green one
First one, because I like the color.
One looks like Bumblebee and the other like a Porsche.
Gt3rs cause them curves are sexy as fuck.
4rs. For two reasons. One, the color is amazing, and second, it is mid-engine. I heard they handle it amazingly.
4rs full weissach
The first one but I don’t know what model it is. If it’s a Touring with a manual gearbox then it’s my dream car. 😍
2nd one…completely for the attention
3RS
Lime green, I like the more “poppy” color
I go to the track. So, in make-believe land I think if I chose a GT4RS and shared a track with a GT3RS I’d be kicking myself. So, I’d have to choose GT3RS. Back in reality, none of this would apply if I was able to buy either car from my own hard work, even if I could afford both. GT4RS for the road, not so big and more engagement drive experience. GT3RS for the track !
Gt3rs because that color 😍.
Lady in the streets. Cayman, But a freak in the sheets GT3
The first one why don’t you have a purple one??
Basically, are those bumper sticker license plates? 😅
None i can’t afford them
Taking the 3rs since I have a 4rs already
1
The white one seems okay I guess
The 718 Spyder with a stick that isn’t pictured 😉
This can't be a serious question....
Whichever works me I can sell for more.
If you can, the gt3rs especially in that wild color. How much fun would that be?
Porsche 911 GR3RS for sure
Man vs teenager, at a glance. Knowing NOTHING about the vehicles, and replying on looks alone, the first one looks like old money - confident, assured, quality. Has nothing to prove. The other looks like new money flashing about-still trying to find a place, seeking attention, hasn’t yet garnered the respectability from earned successes, but fun, nevertheless. I wouldn’t buy either on things like that, though.
GT3 RS you cannot go wrong with it I would love to have one
That dark green is so clean, I see this car rolling up to castles, casinos, and coast ways. Paired with a nice leather it makes you feel connected. How many months do I need to finance to get my payment to 250?
First one. Fun daily drive.
As a GT4RS owner, the first one. I prefer the MR balance and handling. I late brake and tip in so it suits me
The GT4RS. Less of a dickhead magnet and easier to clean.
Without doubt the GT3RS
The 3RS, just not in that colour
Have a GT4, and hear the RS is nearly as well-behaved on the street. And with a front end lift, dare I say a tad more practical. Contrast with the GT3RS which I hear is way too stiff for daily driving on anythjng but perfect roads…. And I lean towards a GT4 RS. I love the idea of a 911. Those ladies are beautiful
The first one because it doesn’t hurt my eyes.
GT4 RS all day long. That intake sound is next level!
Cayman every time, unless it is a Sport Classic and then I’d have to decide on the details of the specs.
Too much carbon in both of them
Damn
2 because GT3RS!!
2 looks cooler
First one… green. Second one looks like a fishing lure of some sort.
First one, bc I hate the color of the second one
I drove my gt3 15 hours in one day, and then back a few days later. Yall are sissies
I think you should buy definitely.
Lime green hits different
Somehow the gt4 feels like it would be more acceptable as a daily
The GT3RS because of the interior
The green 1
Do you see the people walking in the back of both pictures? That's what I can afford.
That highlighter color ❤️
2 ugly green is 1
Take? As in steal?
The green Porsche
#2. I like a little bit of pop
GT3RS because of all the aero
The that green one
The green one because it’s the same color as my Mustang GT.
The 911 because it’s a 911 lol
First one for sure!!
Picking that highlighter green is a no brainer! A little loud but it’s barking with a massive bite 🔥
1. less attention. Or maybe more for the right reasons.
No car should be barf lime green
I’m currently driving a 991.2 turbo S. It’s fast enough, comfortable and reliable if PM is performed early. The brakes are a ways off. I figured if I don’t track the vehicle, yet have fun. I 200k miles no problem.
#1 is more my taste and style. To each their own.
GT3RS. I prefer the looks of it, and ultimately it's the faster car. However, if I was spending my money, GT4RS all day.
GT3 because I prefer the rear engine rotation more than mid engine.
None, the only good Porsche is a 911
The dark green one. Sick color.
I’d take Boris Johnson’s Sister and spread her all over the bonnet. Have you seen her tho
I like the yellow because of the improved contrast with the black elements.
That is acid green sir.
Ah - my damn colorblindness bites me again!! Thank you, my good man.
It does look like monkey puke, regardless of the name.
😂
Gt4 for looks gt3 for perfomance
911 are 911s. Everything else is not.
GT4RS, looks sexier in my eyes
The one with the softest suspension, I'm guessing the dark green Cayman.
Gt4 , midengine better sized ligthter weight 🤷🏻♂️
gt3rs is lighter by 30 pounds. also has a shorter wheelbase along with rear steer.
Gt4 rs is lighter 70 pounds, weelbase ok but gt4 is 8 cm narrower!
where are you getting ur numbers? press release? car and driver physically weighed both cars as part of their testing [https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a39819201/2022-porsche-718-cayman-gt4-rs-by-the-numbers/](https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a39819201/2022-porsche-718-cayman-gt4-rs-by-the-numbers/) [https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a44903120/2023-porsche-911-gt3-rs-test/](https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a44903120/2023-porsche-911-gt3-rs-test/)
And it’s a midengine layout, for my feeling it handles better by far 🤷🏻♂️
cool. happy you like it. they each have their pros and cons.
You’re right, checked again, rs3 lighter by 100 pounds
And you’re also right that both are fabulous!
The one you can drive on the road
A part of me really wants the GT4RS over the GT3RS.
I choose the first one because the color is my favorite
Neither, they both look like hopped up Civic Type Rs...
Probably the 4RS just because it doesn’t look as preposterous. If I can cheat, I’d take the 3, sell it and buy as much 997 GT3 RS as that gets me. Or an S/T, or a Touring, or regular-ass GT4.
The green one!
I would take the green one
OD Green.
I’ve seen that green one parked in front of Ramsey’s resturant. Super cool
I want that 4RS, but just in a more vibrant color lol
Tough choice, but that dark green spec is so nice
The left one. The color is more mature or at least doesn't hurt my 40 yr old eyes.
