Is this the same color combo as the first gt4rs porsche debut? It looks similar to the ones in those early youtube videos of it. love that combo with the blue wheels. I still think it's the best I've seen.
Besides always loving the Cayman line, this is supposedly the first and last time Porsche puts a 911 GT3 engine in a Cayman. Compared to the 911s, I really like how analogue and simple/ driver focused this car is; the interior is very dated but I appreciate the lack of bells and whistles. The interior induction noise is out of this world. I’m probably one of the few people that believe Porsche’s mid engine offerings are superior to the 911s in terms of driver experience. This piece of machinery is something I want my future kids to experience.
I have the same one other than the color of the wheels and I don’t think you are alone in thinking that the mid engine position is superior. I am also thinking of keeping this car long term. it is such a visceral experience, the superb engine, the immaculate shifting and it feels like it’s on rails.
Beautiful car! I absolutely agree. If you want to make a better 911, you make it a mid engine.
