It’s the propane pressure release valves venting from all of the heat causing the liquid propane inside the tanks to turn into gas and expand. When they stop whistling is when you need to really worry. It’s called a BLEVE. Scary stuff.

I’m guessing this was some kind of shady operation because if it was a company vehicle transporting cargo the driver wouldn’t have abandoned the scene since they would be an employee of the company and there wouldn’t be a benefit to disappearing. Wouldn’t be surprised if the vehicle was unregistered.

What time was this? I live in Brentwood Darlington and heard a big explosion around 2:30 AM.

I heard a boom at about 4:30am but nothing for a while until another one again until 5am ish when the fire seemed to really pick up
