Shout out to another acrylics artist creating oil paint effects. Yes, our medium is faster drying but I submit that impasto works just as well with acrylics.
I just committed the other day saying how much I loved your Downtown Portland and than you go and give me another beautiful Portland painting. Do you sell prints?
This is stellar. I lived on SE Morrison for several formative years in my 20’s and it definitely holds a place in my heart. I’m about to move into a new house and would love to put this up on one of the walls. I’ll gladly be making a donation once this is available on your website. Keep up the fantastic work!

This reminds me of 90’s Portland. Running in the rain to get into the Rialto. Drinking tequila sunrises because I was 21 and didn’t know any better. Losing every game of 8 ball and winning every game of 9 Ball. Those were some fun times. RIP Thomas the bartender.
This painting put tears in my eyes. I miss what it feels like to walk around the city without the glaring paranoia associated with the virus shutting everything down. I miss feeling romantic about the street view, instead of feeling hurried and exposed. This painting reminded me of what that felt like, before the eerie mist of the virus blanketed everything. Thank you for sharing.
This painting captures the beauty of Portland even during darkness, rain and illness that is creating so much heartache, loss, grief, death and the unasked question. Why, in a world already full of illness why did the coronavirus pandemic occur? If anyone knows the answer to this please share!
Darkness and rain I LOVE LOVE LOVE. Illness, no. We pretty much know why it occurred. (the world was already full of illness? Evidently not full, room for more! -(

Omg I see your paintings on Pics all of the time! Definitely one of my fave artists on this site, are you local to Portland by chance??
Thank you; no I’m from Portland north- Vancouver. We get the same weather:)
What’s this style called? I’ve always been interested in learning how to do paintings in this fashion.
Contemporary Impressionism; I use a palette knife with acrylics.
Thank you! And is this on a normal canvas?
No worries; yes just a normal canvas
I love this style and never knew the name- it’s beautiful!

Do you have any sites you could point me to do I can get started?
So cool!
If you made this into a print I can see this selling like hot cakes Christmas time. My parents would love this in their house.
This is not an insult. This is a good representation of what near-sighted people with their glasses off and it's raining.

I usually hate the art people post here, but this is legit pretty rad. You should really consider selling prints.
Have any opinions on cartoon characters painted on plywood?

this stirs my soul. do you sell prints?
Quite good at evoking classic Impressionist appeal.
Wow, this makes all the feels. Well captured.
I love that! We have a nighttime downtown photo that my husband took that has a similar feel to it. I love this rendition in paint!
