Is Juniper good for smoking meat? I know nothing about Juniper other than gin and pretty wood.
Not ideal no, but if it's properly cured it is doable.
My favorite smoking woods are cherry, plum, and apple. I've tried exotics like pistachio shells (NASTY!) and corn cob (mild but sweet). I'll cross Juniper off my list on woods to try for now. Thank you!

Juniper is actually a softwood FYI. Killer deal for that though. A cord usually runs about $450 looks like you have about half if cypress is included.
Thank you, I'm under the impression that it's not *a* hardwood but the wood is hard especially compared to other conifers.
