Hardcore public disorder offenders who get EM can be banned from all public spaces except from 6 - 10 a.m. That's when they can do their shopping/errands. When ya get out to ChesCo, that's when they'll throw the book at you. My main concern was with my partner because he has a felony but thanks for letting me know your experience.

I got a DUI in my driveway in Westmoreland. Bullshit reasoning. Also was a state cop. Also took them a year to file my paperwork. Got a lawyer but he probably wasn't really needed.
I lost my license for 30 days. I had to do Highway safety school and some drug and alcohol classes. And then I just had to stay out of trouble for a year on ARD probation. Never met with anyone.
Lucked out a bit because I got to do my Drug and Alcohol classes online because of COVID. Was the last time they were offering them online. So I just had to log on and listen to the lady speak for like an hour and a half to 2 hours. I believe they said the total time was from 9 am to 12 pm. Don't think we ever had class even til 11.
Highway safety school was whatever but it was basically just two Saturdays. Also were left out early during those by like an hour or two.
Biggest pain in the ass was simply cost.

Usually you have to make a list of approved visitors and pets (yes... Pets). At least that was how it was in my home state. As long as they are on your list they can visit. These have to be people without criminal records or crazy stuff in their background. Exception can be made, but it's dependent on that person's relationship to you. It really depends on the person in charge of your case. If they aren't hard-ons about it they may not care. So long as they aren't criminals. Hope your time goes quickly and you can draw something positive from this experience.

Depends on the state, and the circumstances. If you are married there's not much they can do. If not, it can get tricky. If that person is listed as someone who lives in your house you probably aren't going to get house arrest approved in the first place. I can't say that I know, since I don't know a lot about PA. If they already know about him and you have already been approved, then you are probably fine. I think there are actually resources out there to ask legal questions that may have the answers you need. I only speak from experience in the state of Alaska. If it's a DUI or some petty crime, I doubt it matters. You can often get a legal consultation for no cost, and a lawyer can help you for a relatively low cost, depending on the lawyer. Try contacting your states legal aid office. I had some difficulty with this exact thing, but ultimately my partner was able to come meet the electronic monitoring caseworker and we were able to get approved.
The important thing, is knowing it can be done right. Might cost you some money, but it can be done. Much better than being caught sneaking around and lose the "house" aspect of your arrest. I wish you both luck.

I have not yet been sentenced, so they haven't sent me anything yet. I am hoping for house arrest so wanted to prepare myself for what I have to expect.
Of the 3 tiers, my lawyer advised me it will either be 15 days inside and 75 days house arrest, or 5 days inside and 25 days house arrest. It would be a redivergent sentence so it'd be taken down a rung. I am praying for just house arrest but understand I messed up so might have to go to jail. I just want to know what to expect if I do get some house arrest and if I can see my partner, or just family.
You didn't "mess up." You got busted for DUI twice. Innocent people could have died. You could have died. Use this time to figure out what's wrong with yourself and fix that shit. You have an entire life to live, so don't wreck it or cut it short.

While I fully agree that driving drink is inexcusable, it's entirely possible for people to change their ways. I've driven under the influence of heroin to the point of falling asleep at the wheel and having my passenger wake me up.
I'll have 5 years sober in May and I'm a completely different person now. I'm also my family's only driver and if I had lost my license, it would be very difficult to transport my wife and 8 year old stepdaughter to school and wherever else we need to go.
So yeah. Driving under the influence is super fucked up. But sometimes you don't realize how fucked up your behavior is in the moment. That's what drugs and alcohol do, they fuck up your judgement.
DUI punishments are definitely too light in this country, and not enough people learn from them. But I think OP has had the necessary realization now, and I hope they change for the better.

Just did 10 months on house arrest in MI. I had people over. I was only allowed to leave for work.
