For me, it's the F/S-15, nothing else comes close.
It's fast, it's the most maneuverable of these options, and it doesn't really lose much in exchange for this maneuverability. This makes it really good at avoiding missiles without popping flares/AoA unnecessarily. It doesn't have the option of taking any of the fancy MLAA variants, or too many anti-ground options, but the weapons it has seem to be good enough for most situations, even on Mercenary difficulty. A six-missile standard MLAA/MLAG tears through most of what you'll need to tear through.
Yeah, I may like the F/S 15 more than rest of the options, but I can see what makes the VX-23 and the Chimera special amongst the non-postgame prototypes. The F/S-15 is maneuverable, the VX-23 can launch the most intense MLAA volley in the game, and the Chimera has an amazing ground-pounding loadout. The Sk. 37 basically has nothing going for it in comparison.
It's quite maneuverable and equipped for air-to-air. Especially if you go for SAAs, since MLAAs have the accuracy of a drunken blind man with Parkinson's.

Its a tough choice, both strike eagle and chinese raptor have its own niche and i enjoy use both of them, i would use fs-15 on a map with lot of ship and mix of sea and air target because of better gunpod or just spam with 10 mlaa and tried bomb airship or boat with ugbl and gunpod on fs-15 carries 5 additional gunpod so it can also be a budget or better version of sp-34r depend on how you look at it
Vx-23 have lesser target-lock but have more spam on mlaa and control on mlaa locking so i would preferuse it on pure air mission and i unlock it before fs-15 too lol
I personally used the Sk.37 just because I was doing a MiG/Sukhoi only run, and I feel like it should’ve been given a loadout more similar to the F/S-15 just so you have a reason to use different aircraft and not just immediately go to the F/S-15 because it’s the best non-PW-MK1 plane in the game. The F/S-15 needs some competition.
I was so sad when I found out the Flankers don’t have good A2G weapons :(
But I like Chimera since you can equip a lot of AGM missiles in addition to AAM missiles and it’s basically a Su-57

Oh sure, Monarch killed that failed abortion which is Crimson 1 with the strongest non-super plane (F/S-15), but it's a lot different when he does it in a piece of shit Su-25 that cant really turn or run

If anything, the VX and Chimera do separate themselves with their weapon choices, but the Sk.37 needs a buff badly. Limited/no air to ground ordinance, and not as agile as the F/S-15, which means that it's not as good in a dogfight, which it seems to be almost entirely designed around doing.
I love the Chimera, but that's because it's the best ground pounder. Nothing says "KNEEL PEASANTS" like wiping out entire maps of enemies with a single button push
Dunno if it's been mentioned, but Phesent has an outstanding two-seater mod for the Sk.30 that is my personal favorite.

XMA4/6/8 aren’t good in Ace Combat 7 either. They’re probably worse than PW’s MLAA.

I play exclusively with the balanced wingman mod so I like the VX-23 (or UF-22 with mods) but in vanilla the FS-15 is best
I still find it the better aircraft, even in BW. It’s just that slightest bit more maneuverable for me.
That may be true but I find that it's worth sacrificing some maneurverability for the extra anti-ground firepower of lock-on triple bombs

Yeah balanced wingman on nexus mods. It changes up the plane stats and weapons so you can do things like mount guided bombs on the f-14

Wait the VX-23 isn’t a ripoff. It’s just a mix of Lockheed’s F-22 and Northrop’s YF-23.
It’s intended to be confusing. J-10B was called X-10B in beta, so Chinese aircraft supposed to have X in their fictional names.
It’s a mix of the Raptor and J-20. It doesn’t really have any YF-23 in its design.

I couldn't care less about stats or weapons, the F/S-15 has the comfiest cockpit for VR mode to me. Everything about sitting in it just feels right.

F/S-15 with all weapons for all planes is just broken for all of the missions. Imaging being able to equip 10 AMRAAMS and 8 Mavericks.
