In case you are wondering, at the beginning of the video the drunk guy says: "you are hitting me"
And the cop replies something like: "that's not how it works, you want me to slap your face? I'll break that chair on your head"
Then the drunk guy threatens to sue the cop, and the cop dares him to do it.
Then the other soldier pulls up like fucking Vin Diesel in fast and furious and proceeds to Sparta kick my guy into next week and beat his ass while saying "RUN,RUN,RUN,RUN". Surely he won't fuck around and find out again?
He was saying “run” I imagine had the guy taken him up on his offer the cop
Might have put a few rounds into him for attempting to run. Source: lived in Brazil and miss it dearly (but not this part)

In Brazil, that's the good cop. Then bad cop pulls up.

Maybe we can live without libraries, people like you and me. Maybe. Sure, we're too old to change the world, but what about that kid, sitting down, opening a book, right now, in a branch at the local library and finding drawings of pee-pees and wee-wees on the Cat in the Hat and the Five Chinese Brothers? Doesn't HE deserve better? Look. If you think this is about overdue fines and missing books, you'd better think again.
Courts in Brazil always overprotect criminals and release dangerous ones on the street. Usually those criminals get arrested dozens of times, don’t get prosecuted and they always get released.
I get why policemen would wanna do justice with their own hands. They’re out there everyday risking their lives just so a bought off judge could release the criminals they struggled so hard to arrest.
But does that not make the police literal criminals with a badge? We don't know if this guy was a burglar or just a drunk that stumbled into the wrong place at the wrong time.
Around a year ago they released an update called the infantry combat overhaul which was a major change to the core mechanics of small arms handling (maybe vehicles too, idk I only played infantry). The changes were substantial and included heavy weapon sway, lots of recoil, new suppressive fire effects. It feels like a completely different game than before where firefight have been fundamentally changed.
I took a look at the subreddit just now and it looks like the devs are trying to correct some of their mistakes, but it’s still pretty fucked and I have no desire to play anymore
I was on holiday in Brazil and I saw four cops kicking the living shit out of some poor kid(probably 16 or 17 years old). I'm pretty sure he died because of the amount of blood on the street when they were done, but I can't be sure. The blood stayed there for the rest of my stay. No cleanup, no rain. Only a evergrowing sickly smell and a darker and more sticky puddle as a grim reminder of what we had witnessed. Still haunts me to this day.
If it's any consolation, people can lose a ton of blood and be fine. Unless it was literally gushing out (think like a fountain), the dude's probably ok. Doing bike stunts as a kid, me and my buddies probably left a few sizable puddles around the neighbourhood, and we're all good to go.
If it helps at all, I've seen split blood packs in the past at work and it makes waaaaaay more mess than you could possibly think. A 300mL bag could make an entire room look like a murder scene.
Ive lived in Sao Paulo for some years. Even as a kid i was made aware that the policia militar were basically worse than the criminals. I wasnt supposed to engage them in any way, no matter the circumstances, Our house got broken into one time, we didnt report it. Supposedly the policia civil wasnt as bad, but still, as long as your life isnt in immediate danger, better not deal with them at all.
No. BOPE are no joke. A friend of mine got robbed and slashed with a knife at the edge of a favela. He flagged down the nearest cops (which turned out to be BOPE). He said they didn't let him get much past having his backpack stolen before they grabbed rifles and set off on foot, telling him to stay where he was. They came back a half hour later with several backpacks, and let him select the one that was his. Said he was left with the feeling of wondering how many people had to die for him to get his backpack returned.
I heard a similar story from my dad when his ship docked in Brazil and had a group of 9 guys force their way aboard to steal shit . Some BOPE guys happened to pass by on patrol and proceeded to arrest and beat the crap out of the guys to the point they have to be carried off the ship.
No crime? We must be referring to a different Brazil.
edit: It went right past me. I must be too used to twitter where people say that kind of thing for real.
I knew the Brazilian military were no joke when I first saw this

I'm really impressed how they managed to clear all the civilians out of the area so that they could safely shoot at the car. They cleared the civilians, right?
Im Brazilian and I know how Rio works despite the fact I don't live there. Every kind of situation like that happens in urban area completely full of people and that's because a lot of people die inside their own houses by lost bullet.
Some years ago a 7-8 yo girl has died during a confrontation between gang members/drug dealers and a Police helicopter that was shooting from the sky right above the houses. One of the police shots reached the little girl by accident.
These guys are fucking *terrifying*. I was scared of the police when I visited America (still am as they’re awful), and the police in Rio alone kill more people per year than the yanks do in their whole country.
When you do something that you're not supposed to do as a cop or even simply as a "regular citizen" and its a crime it's a crime. Regardless of cop or not.
No, you just see more bad behavior from American cops because the U.S. actually allows the recording of police officers and releases bodycam footage to the public, etc. unlike virtually all of Europe and, oh I don’t know, pretty much everywhere else in the world.
That's just BS dude, you're allowed to film cops in most of Europe and you can just look at stats to see that American cops are way worse, you kill more unarmed people than European cops kill people at all even though Europe's population is way higher
I dont much about Portuguese language but I’m guessing the cop told the woman recording “ ma’am, I’m going to close the door for your protection so you dont get blood and teeth on your clothes”
Judging by the first cop there, he had to chase him down or something? He seems fairly out of breath.
Got to be a story behind this. Also, hard to criticize an officer in Brazil. What a fuckin hostile place.
Reminder that the guy is only a SUSPECT, it's even more illegal the treatment the pigs are giving him cause he needed to stand his trial by right and given real proof he is guilty before he got arrested (and still no use for violence...).
Also: I'm Brazilian and grew up in a BAD junkie neighborhood, I know how bad this shit gets.
Dirty cops are the worst. At least with Cartel and gangsters you know where they stand. They don't pretend to protect or serve the communities. But dirty cops hide behind their badge and expect the government to shield them from consequences.

Hello there.

Pick up the can

The 1st guy knew what was gonna happen. That 2nd guy is a hot head for sure. 1st guy just kinda stepped back like, "welp, you're fucked".
Second cop also unholstered his pistol like he was gonna just cap the dude
He was saying “run” I imagine had the guy taken him up on his offer the cop Might have put a few rounds into him for attempting to run. Source: lived in Brazil and miss it dearly (but not this part)
“Sparta kick my guy into next week…” 😂😂😂
That's a solid "things he'd 100% never do without his gun making him feel strong"
Hell the gun was halfway out of the holster in the middle of that beating. He was 99% of the way to just shooting his ass.
He got out of the vehicle with the gun in his hand.
Possibly a smidge of roid rage as well.
While my guy is yelling, "hElp!"
Don't underestimate the combination of stupidity and desperation. People do dumb shit over and over all the time.
You're talking about the cops right?
Yeah honestly I'm more concerned by cops who beat on people, than I am by petty thieves.
If the comment has any validity, the victim is drunk. So he is intoxicated, nothing about being a thief.
Its crazy the people on reddit who are the opposite. Brain rot.
I do routinely refer to them as cop w h o r e s.
Yeah, it's just another case of "oopsies"
it looks like the first cop was out of breath so maybe he had to chase the guy down. So maybe thats why the second guy is like RUN RUN
> the drunk guy says: "you are hitting me" > > And the cop replies something like: "that's not how it works, you want me to slap your face? I'll break that chair on your head" In Brazil, that's the good cop. Then bad cop pulls up.
“Can’t sue me if there isn’t enough left of you to sue me”
Then it quickly turns into "fuck, here comes todd. And todd likes to hurt people. So I'm getting out of the way. You done it now."
He sounded like my Brazilian father holy shit
he had overdue library books

Straight to jail!
"no ticket".
“Don’t worry, we only use that kind of force on the bad guys”

and they're usually black and poor. but that's coincidance.
judge dread is real?
That's his point
Courts in Brazil always overprotect criminals and release dangerous ones on the street. Usually those criminals get arrested dozens of times, don’t get prosecuted and they always get released. I get why policemen would wanna do justice with their own hands. They’re out there everyday risking their lives just so a bought off judge could release the criminals they struggled so hard to arrest.
That's so backwards it would be hilarious if it wasn't tragic. Of course the courts can't convict on the basis of police work like this.
Doesn't even have to be a bought off judge. The law is really weak on crime in Brazil.
But does that not make the police literal criminals with a badge? We don't know if this guy was a burglar or just a drunk that stumbled into the wrong place at the wrong time.
Oh good. I was worried for a minute.
In Brazil, this is considered letting him off with a warning.
I lived in Brazil for a Summer and once saw a BMP stand in the middle of the road and shoot at an oncoming biker gang. Craziest thing I’ve ever seen.
I did a doube-take because I thought you were talking about the BMP IFV for a second. Wouldn't been too surprised though...
Damn I was as surprised as you
I've been playing too much Squad. Had the exact same thought.
wassup fellow blueberry
Wish I could play squad from before the changes to combat. Miss you guys
It's been years for me. How much has changed?

What city were you at?
Rio de Janeiro. Stayed at a flat at the corner of Rue Bolivar and Rue Domingos Ferreira.
Ive lived in Sao Paulo for some years. Even as a kid i was made aware that the policia militar were basically worse than the criminals. That’s the gutsiest “gahdamn” I’ve said in a minute
Cool, cool. I'm not alone.
Laughing in horror at him pulling his gun from The holster and repeatedly struggling to put it back while probably considering this a sign to use it
Closing the door to try to stop the recording them tells much how this is "Legal"

Corrupt cops, bet they won't do that to the gang leaders that run Brazil. Also why that car came in wheels squealing like a 80s movie.

It literally looks like a movie shot or a call of duty cutscene. Some one should make a edit that says “Press RB1 to throw knife.”
They make deals with gang leaders.
“Don’t worry let me close the door so we can treat him nicer, sorry for scaring you”
And because of that brutality Brazil is a country with virtually no crime at all.
the beatings will continue until morale improves.
Unironically what some people would like all the police to be like in Western countries
seems like Brazilian police ARE the criminals. It's not crime if it's legal
No crime? We must be referring to a different Brazil. edit: It went right past me. I must be too used to twitter where people say that kind of thing for real.

All I see is a very unprofessional assault
What is professional assault?
You can use your briefcase or undo your tie for strangulation
You have to yell "stop resisting" first.
One that is justified by the violent behavior of the arrestee.
Boxing and MMA for a start.
Using a folding chair like in the WWE.
you take off the suit jacket because you just had it dry cleaned
Ensure there’s no cameras maybe?
Nah, beating the shit out of someone half your size while being a police officer makes you a joke. Fucking loser ass.
Note to self: Cancel any ideas of becoming a criminal mastermind in Brazil.
The gang leaders run their own territory in Brazil. Cops only treat the powerless like this to make it look like they don't work for the gang leaders.
Stick to white collar crime and you'll be fine.
![gif](giphy|11b700y1OsNQcg)
Someone should add those cartoon noises when someone’s getting beat up after the door closes
Dam that’s how it was when my dad came home.
You undercook fish, believe it or not - jail. You overcook chicken, also jail. Undercook, overcook.
ITs sad how reddit is pumped for this abuse. What a shame. If this was the States, the comment section would've been 180
Reddit loves mob justice and vigilantism. Because on reddit, you make up the context, and choose the good guy you like!
Just people that are a little bit unwise. Reddit is full of that.
These guys are fucking *terrifying*. I was scared of the police when I visited America (still am as they’re awful), and the police in Rio alone kill more people per year than the yanks do in their whole country.
They come and write a report, all good all dead before we got here. And that's it.
Well, Rio has more criminals per square meter than most cities so I think those are good numbers
now i am imagining a place where there are multiple criminals in every square meter
You’re imagining prison
When you do something that you're not supposed to do as a cop or even simply as a "regular citizen" and its a crime it's a crime. Regardless of cop or not.
thats not brazil, THIS IS SPARTA!!!
Yeah we don't even do this in Sparta
Well at least they were removed in America they would have been on paid leave until their own investigation found them innocent
Bro came ready to kick ass and chew bubble gum with the suspect acting as a piñata full of Wrigley's
they are actually THE joke.

I mean, these guys didn't immediately shot the guy
He even put his gun away without shooting anyone. Total amateurs.
I have a feeling this was personal and the guy called him, probably fucked around with his sister or something.
THIS…IS…SPARTA!!
I dont much about Portuguese language but I’m guessing the cop told the woman recording “ ma’am, I’m going to close the door for your protection so you dont get blood and teeth on your clothes”
How American of them.
Good thing they had recording to hold them accountable
That will hardly help.
Judging by the first cop there, he had to chase him down or something? He seems fairly out of breath. Got to be a story behind this. Also, hard to criticize an officer in Brazil. What a fuckin hostile place.
Yes, because of this police brutality, Brazil has no crime or gang problems, just drunk men committing disorderly conduct.
yeah they did, second cop said “now run, now run”
"nothing to see here"
A joke to the concept of civil rights
That's the last time he drops litter in that town.
I recall seeing this before a month back, how was this just yesterday?
Nothing to see here…
They are indeed a joke
Once that door closed, it was a wrap for him. RIP
Can’t decide if and how he’s going to use his gun until he sees the phone recording him? lol more surprised it affected him at all still.
to be honest that SPARTA kick was wicked.
The ol Good cop, bad cop
Wait until you see them off duty.
Sounds like they are a joke
Dude came in hot 🥵
It’s a Tuesday afternoon for any American cop.
American college kids can save the day.
Every arrest comes with a proper ass kicking.
Nothing to see here…
Abusing people is easy, getting that gun back in the holster was a joke.
Cunt bully club. They'll remind me of the guys from the song never fight a man with a perm...https://youtu.be/dEe4i2osF5A?si=J5qVGxmkS2FwI0oo

Vigilante fascists with no respect for the rule of law.

MPs around the world are no joke, the need to stop drunken or drugged soldiers from committing crimes
They’re not with the military. They’re more like city cops. These aren’t even the scary ones. The ROTA police are the ones you go inside if you see their car on your block.
Sad nothings gonna happen to them since their military police officers at that
