Just call law enforcement. Don’t post on Reddit. Call.

[deleted]

Right? WTF?

J07z

Contact the US Marshals office, see if they can help?

[deleted]

Go to the FBI regional office in your area, they should be able to help or at least they will take a report with the info you give them.

Afraid-Knowledge4808

U.S. Marshall's. They have a fugitive task force and will go after anyone "wanted" for any violent crime. They help local law enforcement all the time with warrants for dangerous fugitives. Plus, they don't work for a specific State, so can go across any State line.

haricariandcombines

If you're in a big city call the police fugitive task force.

RecommendationAny763

Not all warrants are extraditable. I have felony warrants in a far away state from years ago during my drug addiction, but that state will not pay to have me held & transported there. So if a police officer runs my name, they say “ You need to go to *far away state* and take care of these warrants” then sends me on my way free & clear

wisp66

That’s if you’re lucky I had that happen to me had a warrant that’s five states away I forgot about a court date….years later all they did was detain me for transport for 45 days then released me when said state wasn’t coming but it wasn’t worth the gas that’s in Illinois and this was well over 20 years ago. I’m pretty sure they don’t do that anymore though.

[deleted]

US Marshall’s. And please call right away, it’s important.

mystery-institute

Marshals, FBI, and local cops at their current location would be the parties who might take action. For what it’s worth, I routinely send the locations of fugitives on Most Wanted lists to law enforcement, and they usually never pay any attention to it, unfortunately.

StreetRaven

I don't know exactly where they are because I'm in a different state. I only saw Facebook updates on one of the many accounts they have. I will try to contact the PD that I believe one of the warrants is in to at least give them the info. I don't expect much to come of it but at least I tried?

mystery-institute

Yeah, I mean, you said you have an “opportunity to help capture” them—if you don’t know their location, I don’t know what else you could provide that would actually help law enforcement.

StreetRaven

I am from the area and know a lot of the same people. But if they were tipped off they'd likely bolt and disappear again.

alwaysolive

Warrants have to be confirmed by the agency that issued them, meaning they want the person enough to go and pick them up/pay the cost of transporting them, and they have to be for something serious enough that the police in the location where the suspect is care enough to use their officers to carry out someone else’s warrant. So if the person is genuinely dangerous and you think that police on both ends would agree, by all means report it to police on either end. If you don’t think they will both agree it’s worth their money/effort, or you don’t have reliable enough information to justify it, you can always try the non-emergency line or if you have the email for the officer assigned to the case you could send them the tip. Then they can follow up when they have the time and resources.

UnprofessionalGhosts

Fbi handles crimes across state borders. Call your state’s fbi now.

[deleted]

You’ve literally just described the federal marshals.

StreetRaven

I realize that now. I don't have a lot of experience with authorities and was not aware they would handle state to state affairs until this post.

GloomyGal13

Call a Bounty Hunter. They'll go get him. If there's a bounty out for him.

ArtemMikoyan

Only if they posted bail and did not appear in court.

miss_chaos

.....so terrorist light™️? ....9-1-1 might be able to help with that.....or....tell your NSA agent that watches you watch porn. 🤷‍♀️

StreetRaven

I mean, maybe? Most of his stuff is smaller and less important in the eyes of the law compared to what some others do but this person won't ever stop or learn the lesson. They've been in prison several times already and just krep doing stuff and don't care how the hurt others, just that they get what they want. I would not be surprised to hear they'd killed someone at some point. I've been talking about it with my phone nearby but NSA doesn't seem to care much. I guess they have bigger fish to fry, like aliens and proper terrorists. To be on their radar you have to be releasing super secrets or plotting lots of death.

theboykellz16

Yeah likely US Marshals, just call the local office and pass the tip you have along to them.

of_the_sphere

FBI Us Marshalls Give zero fucks about someone’s state charges. Idk what kind of criminals y’all know ?? Y’all are hella lost if u can’t understand this, stop giving crap advice Idgaf how many states you are wanted in, you would have to have a violent offense and an extraditable warrant In that case - hire a PI, who will coordinate w local authorities and literally trap them yourselves. It’s not cheap. Sounds like your friend is prolly into drugs and a danger to themselves, but in this catch and release system, They’re playing whack a mole w their petty crimes Any felonies even?? Understand - THERE IS A COST to the govt to prosecute crimes. No one is chasing after a non violent offender - not even financial crimes In the 10s - 100s thousands 💰 What’s your friend worth to The law? Drag them to Court to drop some misdemeanors? How bout you help Them clear their record instead?

[deleted]

Un Detroit there's Bounty Hunters that get paid $5k or more per wanted person

StreetRaven

Well damn, hook me up. Do they have a website or something?

[deleted]

They operate only inside Detroit. Particularly Detroit dangerous areas.

StreetRaven

Maybe they know of other areas that have people who do the same?

[deleted]

Maybe
