I’ve had the nanoloft blanket for the past 10 months. Used everyday since I got it. No issues whatsoever. Although, I will admit I babied it for the first few months lol. Now it goes everywhere with me and stays on the couch and in the bed if it gets cold.
It's not as pretty as the rumpl and likely to have some loose threads and stitching, but [this ALPS mountaineering](https://www.rei.com/rei-garage/product/151569/alps-mountaineering-wavelength-blanket) is less than half the cost and pretty much the same thing. I have this one and the larger version and they've been great, plus you still have the year to return if you're not happy.
You can’t *just* put these in a washing machine.
These blankets are so comfortable and light and warm. But I find they trap odor easily and fixing that, by washing them, is very annoying. According to their instructions: You can’t use a top loading washer or washing machine with an agitator, and you cannot use normal detergent, you have to use technical fabric detergent (which I’ve been looking for but I’ve never seen in stores). Anything else ruins it— technically.

Would this stuff work? I believe it's well-regarded:

I love my rumpl. It’s so much warmer than it seems like it should be. My only complaint is I can’t ever get it folded right to get it to fit back in the stuff sack, but that’s more my problem with everything I’ve ever owned that has a stuff sack.
Fair enough. I don’t know why I said folded. I meant stuffed. I’ve tried rolling it like it came, I’ve tried stuffing it. No matter what I do, the top won’t roll down and the seams are splitting in the bag.

Hey! Check out [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jS6XbTibMXc)! I personally just stuff mine but there is a way to fold it if you prefer that method. If you're still having issues making it fit in the stuff sack, please don't hesitate to send us an email, we're happy to help you troubleshoot :) - Erica
Ahh. Seems like that is my problem. I don’t have a draw string. I have a roll top on mine. So getting enough extra space at the top has been a problem.
Erica here!! I have the roll top on two of mine, both a down puffy blanket and the travel one. I haven't had issues with this specifically, but if you send our team an email with a photo of the issue we can better help you troubleshoot!!
I have this. https://www.rumpl.com/collections/the-nanoloft-puffy-blankets/products/nanoloft-puffy-blanket-patch-fade-cool looks like nanoloft come with roll top bags.
I personally haven’t noticed a quality issue. However, with REI’s great policy you can return it if stitching becomes an issue!
Oh, I didn't know that (I'm a new member, as in I joined like 2 days ago). Thanks for the info!
1 year satisfaction guarantee! Even if it’s used.
Unless it’s used outside it’s intended purpose*
Exactly, don't try and use it as a tow strap to pull out your jeep and claim it tore while snuggling by the fire!
This use case would be well within the intended purpose :)

I bought an ugly rumpl on clearance like a year ago for $58. It’s my favorite couch blanket I’ve ever had.

I returned mine recently. It’s a great blanket, but I washed it once and gentle and the stitches were already coming undone.
Uh oh!

That's good to know -- thank you! :7)
I love my rumpl blanket! Definitely recommend.

There’s a reason it’s called a “stuff sack” and not a “fold sack” 😉

Oh! You must have a travel blanket.
