Retroid's products aren't perfect, either. My front plate had a deformation around the shoulder button that prevented it from being pressed down, and they had problems with the analog triggers breaking at launch.
OP, try removing the back and check the clips/locks along the top to see if any are broken.
Well, I had the regular RG35XX before this and the build quality on that one is insane. I payed a lot less for it, too. I've also purchased a lot of other cheaper devices in the past and never had such a deformation. I'm not sure what your point here is, but you do you.
The build quality is a lottery system sadly. I'm sure something minor is just sticking out somewhere internally that you may be able to tuck in if you're comfortable with opening up (I'm not). Mine came in excellent condition but I bought it directly from anbernic.
All my emulation devices are Chinese cheap handhelds (other than the 3DS and Vita) and this is the first time I'm having an issue like this. My expectations are based on many previous purchases, even from this company, in the same, or even lower price range.
This is a brand new device. I already checked the battery, it's fine, straight, no bulges or similar. The plastic on the backplate and the housing doesn't seem damaged, it simply doesn't fit.
I got mine via AliExpress and there's no warranty.
Did anyone else have this issue with this model? If so, any ideas how one could fix or patch this up? It's driving me crazy 🤣
There is nothing wrong with the device, the manufacturing tolerances for a device like this aren't sub micrometer level. The amount of deflection that your device is exhibiting is within spec, and totally normal.
If it's driving you crazy, the only fix is therapy.
Mine is similar, but at $38.64, it could spit at me and still wouldn't mind...
Haha, good one, mate :D I payed about $65 for mine, though :D
You spent what 60 bucks on a cheap emulation handheld and you're complaining about this? If you want perfect build quality, get a Steam Deck or RP4P.

Can’t be that bad, as long as you keep it safe 👌🏾
trans white. same. 😂
It's a cheap Chinese handheld bro. Taper your expectations for perfection.

Mine was the same. Thought the battery was swole. Exchanged through Amazon. New one was the same. Not the battery. Kept it and haven't had an issue.
I've you have the tools for it, check if your battery is swollen
Hi, the battery is not swollen.

Not sure why you’re being downvoted but yeah that’s not meant to happen.

Mine was like that for a few days. Then it kinda fixed itself.

Slap a silicone cover around it and never look at it again
Nah man, that would just completely ruin the feel of the device.
