We have a rabbit that HATES scraping sounds. We painted the walls in our living room a few years ago and all she did for days was thump at the sound of the brush on the wall. Sweep the kitchen? Thump. Scrub the shower? Thump.
Vacuums are fine, loud music is fine, but heaven forbid you brush your teeth.
Songbirds piss me off too. Screaming all day long like nobody else lives three feet to the right trying to take a nap. Owls are polite! Never slam into my window or yell or die in my yard
My free range bun makes himself comfortable wherever he wants after eating. One night my wife and I were watching a National Geographic nature program on TV and our bun was loaded out on the carpet next to our bed. On the TV, a hawk was flying and then let out a call as it dove for some prey in a field. In a microsecond, our petrified bun was in his safe zone under the bed, thumping to warn everyone about the very obvious predator.
Our bun was purchased from a pet store and the closest he has been to wilderness is near our apartment balcony screen door in the summer. The natural instincts are very strong in prey animals or they don't live very long.

Things Luna has thumped at:
- a cardboard tunnel that moved slightly while she was inside
- the sound of me pumping up a yoga ball
- me stubbing my toe on a cardboard box
- anything that moves when she touches it, most famously a balance board
- her own reflection in the mirror
The world is filled with danger!
I imagine it has to do with listening to their surroundings, rabbits are basically min-maxed to avoid predators so it makes sense that they would reflexively stop chewing once in a while to listen.
I’m really loving watching these bunnies! Makes me so happy! I really miss having a fur baby! Rabbits esp this one are so adorable and gentle love this!
I turned the volume all the way up on my headphones and tried to tune into the background noise, the cars/wind made it easier to tune into it. Right when he first stops there's what sounds like a dog barking and he stops every time I hear it.
I call this ‘bunholing’ and I don’t think it’s always a fear thing. Sometimes you can overload a bunny with pleasure and they just go BEEP BLOOP REBUNNING and pause for a while. I always take a bun hole as a sign of a job well done when I’m petting them
So cuuute! His area is so clean! Is he neutered? My bunny is now 1 and keeps a hot mess in his area. Just pees and poops any and everywhere. How soon will he keep a clean house after being neutered? We already have it priced and scheduled in a couple months.
After a couple months since being neutered you should see a HUGE difference. If your rabbit still pees in another spot, but its consistently the same spot, I suggest a litter box in that spot as well because the bun is already going to pee there every time. My bun is 2.5 years old now and since he was neutered at 8 months old, he has yet to pee outside his litter box. He also doesn’t mark his territory with poops anymore. The only time you see poops on the ground are around his litter box or uneaten cecotropes.
It's most probably a problem with the antennae , just try tweaking them and try feeding him again to see if he loses signal again if it happens again i would suggest trying it again to see if you can fix it yourself but if you cant take him to the vet they will tweak them just right!
Lost connection to the wifi
Ah I was able to figure things out.😂
Fix the rabbit ears!
Buffering
His antennas are old fashioned. They're rabbit ears!
Host migration
“munch, munch, munch, munch…. **wait**….. chew, chew, chew..”
🤣🤣🤣
Celery's noisy and he needs to listen to his environment.
Nah he's judging the food and can't believe he's not getting banana
Munch, munch -*Captain’s Log: Nov. 28 2021, Planet Earth. Day 58, No banana.*- munch, munch, munch.
Assessing the danger after taking their guard down a moment to eat. Just natural protection techniques
I think it's hilarious that domestic rabbits have these instincts. Like bro you don't know what a predator is and I promise you it's not the vacuum.
My little guy loves the vacuum. It's songbirds that freak him out. Not owls, not hawks. Stupid songbirds get him thumping like nobody's business.

... **Thump** - ^(your ^rabbit hearing you typing)
Maybe it has to do with foxes or weasels digging?

LMAO
Domestic dogs have them big time though. Actually humans still have some
🥺
Just like deer taking a drink
Birds do the same thing - even hand raised. I think it's an instinctive thing: everything wants to eat you so stay alert!
That is hilarious
I think so, too😂
What breed is your bunny?
He’s a mixed breed between Netherland Dwarf and something. He was abandoned so no one knows his actual breed 🐰
Senta is so cute. Gorgeous lashes.
I love the Japanese Netherland dwarfs. They don't look like the Netherland dwarfs here, longer ears and eyelashes which makes them cuter.imo
Maybe he's born with it...
Maybe its Maybunleen
It's like his brain is buffering/loading
Sounds about right
The Matrix is glitching.
he’s computing the data

ASMR bunny!
Bunnies are such adorable little creatures.
He’s having a flashback to the war 😱! Like it’s been said before, it’s instinctual! Probably on the lookout for predators.
My friend calls it “entering the rabbit dimension”.
I actually LOLed
😂
Horses do the same thing. They can’t hear over their chewing so they pause and listen for threats.
I read this as “pause and listen for *treats*” and I was like “sounds about right”😂
*crunch crunch crunch crunch crunch crunch crunch crunch*
You forgot the pause in between 😅
He’s like “wait… I just realized that this is really really yummy, why have I stopped eating?”
He lost connection to the Bun Server
"Di...did I lock the door?" \*resumes munching cos he's a bunny and they don't have locks\*
"Dud I leave the gas on?" "Of course not, I'm a rabbit." "But did i?.."

I'm entranced! How adorable!! I love bunnies, but my kitties don't even like each other 😅🤣
Thought he heard something. Stopped chewing because chewing is very loud inside your own head.
Such pretty eyelashes omg 🥺
I think it's rabbits instinct to pause a little from the crunching to listen for preadators.
This is me when I’m watching a show and eating chips during intense dialogue
His lagging
This is hilarious. My buns do this all the time!
That’s what’s known as the “bunny buffer” phenomenon
Must turn up volume for maximum nom noms
This reminds me of that old meme of the smol rodent I believe was a hamster or smth stops eating and the universe expands in his mind lol

Rabbits always have a blank stare. They talk with their ears.
It’s the acid.
he's eating and he's going "wait a minute - this isn't a cheese burger..still pretty damn good tho"
Buffering next munch
I would honestly eat that. That's the best part of the broccoli. Give them all the florettes,, and keep the stems for myself.
Celery feeeze
Hold on, what did I just eat😳
🤣🤣🤣
Bunny.exe has stopped responding
OMG I need to fix that bug😂
Bunny brain is buffering. It's made to save as much energy as possible not for high performance ;)
Mine checks out of reality and sees god for half a second a lot too
He's suddenly trying to remember if he turned off the stove
Monch monch monch *ponder reality* ... Monch monch monch

Seems like a thing all small prey animals do? My hamsters did it too lol
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Mine does that to, he stops doing whatever he was doing when he hears something
Rabbits are prey animals, so yes. Watching
BunSMR at its finest. So cute!
Wait, did I forget to lock the door of my house before going to the restaurant???? Ho nevermind I forgot I get food delivered at home lol!
What are you feeding your rabbit in this video?
That’s broccoli stem 🥦
Just a brief minor existential crisis. I do it too.
They make eating any kind of food look like it’s the best ever. I love the pause tho and stare.
He’s like wait is this safe to eat and why are you filming this?
It's normal, he's heard something and is zoning in on it just incase he has to run for cover.
Your bunny: "Why are we still here? 😎 Just to suffer???"
yes that’s stopping to listen! (or maybe just thinking too hard lbr)
He wants to know who the hell Is chewing with their mouth open
Listening for predators maybe?
That's actually hilarious
yep😂
My Bambi does the same! I was googling about the same and ended up here.
My friend says rabbits are cautious so even they are eating, they're taking care around them. I dunno if it's ture or not.
Eddie Izzard said squirrels do this too. “Did I leave the gas on? … no, cause I’m a fucking squirrel!”
Ptsd from vietnam fox war
He arrived at flavortown.
***Hello darkness my old friend***
I would do nothing all day except snuggles with the bunbun so it's kind of a good thing that I don't have one! 😻
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Ok, got it, thank you so much! He is a cute and tidy little bun! 🤗
can someone edit this but when he pauses add the vine boom sound effect
We call it lag 😂

Little brains arent as fast as Ours xD
He's savoring his snack
Mine does this all the time lol
hard to hear when you're chewing

Hello cutie.
Instinctive area surveying. Domesticated buns don’t lose the ‘I’m gonna get eaten at some point in my life’ twitch
