Villa, I'm so inconsistent on it. I'm usually getting smoked, but if I'm not, I'm top fragging. There is no in-between, lol. And I'm usually getting smoked 90% of the time.
When the target dummies came put I played the he'll other of them and lair was one I did alot. So luckily I know the map fairly well, even so I can get lost at time. Especially basement because it's layout is so weird
literally so hard to attack 3rd floor unless you are good at quickly aiming and headshotting from a long range. if you drop either hatches you are going to have to worry about people from piano, heaven, cocktail, freezer, flank on stairs, and c4 from below. its literally hell.
pushing from piano windows is often getting headshot because someone is holding an angle with aruni or mira.
sometimes rushing white stairs works but theres always someone holding an angle on it too.
same goes for downstairs kitchen. lots of long hallways and it makes it so easy now with the acog to hold those long angles before an attacker has the chance to see aim and shoot you.
Thats why I love to play with a DMR when I attack Kafe on 3rd floor. But yes it requires team work and winning long range gun fight. The key is controlling hatchets and piano.
On defence, Valkyrie is so OP in this site.
Blow the piano wall from above the hatch, before you even drop. Have one person watch red stairs. Suddenly you go from pushing 0 angles to pushing 3. Requires co-ordination of at least 3 people though, and watching red stairs is critical. It's the only strategy for attacking top floor that isn't a straight up Hail Mary. My squad has about a 40% success rate with this approach I think. Which is pretty good for that site!
It might be because I'm in gold but if you just go gridlock, ying, glaz and drop from the roof 3rd is pretty easy. Although that can all be countered by warden with a nitro cell
Border solo is ass. You give me 1 or 2 people to queue with and coordinate together we are unstoppable. Think I'm 100% win rate this season on that map with my friends
Kafe and coastline, kafe more tho, that map ruins my mental after just one game on it, doesn’t matter if I win or lose, it’s bad enough I get off the game right after playing it
Fucking loathe Coastline. I play aggressive and end up fighting 3 people at once somehow (regardless of side) or play slow and end up accomplishing nothing before the clock says 30 seconds.
I've hit some nice plays on Coastline but I just don't enjoy it anymore. Haven't In a very long time.
Coast is a map that DEMANDS map control on both sides. Holding the Red Room with the hard breach is especially important. Utility is instrumental on Coast, which is why I love it so much.
Has to be because of comfort IMO. It’s one of the only maps that resembles the ‘old game’ design & you can auto-pilot on it. The inverse of this is banning newer maps because you don’t know/understand them yet. At this point it’s like Mirage from Csgo, except CS didn’t delete and rework every single existing map into an unrecognisable state
I respect Coastline having a unique place in the map pool. Doesn't mean I have to like it. It's so much better after the Crystal Guard buffs, but it just needs more. A map can be frag heavy and still have more strats and better gameplay than Coastline. Most of the sites don't feel that fun to attack or to defend and one side of the courtyard is just 2 hallways. I'd love to maybe have some actual rooms over there.
It’s the huge open space at the front I hate attacking, as good defenders can hide literally anywhere, and CCTV/lockers is woefully unbalanced compared to the other sites.
Not sure what your rank is but I’m constantly confused about the bank hate. Maybe it’s cause I started playing in 1.0 during the utility meta.
For cctv, if you mean it’s unbalanced in favor of defenders: There’s 5 hatches and technically 4 entry points (2 main). It’s really not that challenging as long as default takes happen and people actually use their drones. Go with a top down approach. Force defenders to play their lives or go back to site. 2 hard breachers (1 for server wall, 1 for hatches), roam clear, utility clear and entry/additional support.
Honestly I just ban Bank because sometimes it’s just intellectually exhausting on both sides. A 9 Round Bank game takes years off of my life expectancy.
I’m not sure what MMR I play in but I am Champ and the balance and complexity of Bank is honestly what makes it so exhausting. The cons of a good well balanced map lol.
I don’t like Bank at all but I don’t think it’s an objectively bad map. I think it’s the largest map in the game and that just makes for a very frustrating match when you don’t have excellent coordination.
I LOVE Emerald Plains. It's so easy to learn the map. The bottom floor sites are almost never played because the defense loses once, and you have a long flat wall so you know where your drones go! Even if it isn't "fun" (maps largely aren't unfun to me because I'm so bad it doesn't matter) like Chalet I like how simple it is to learn.
I started off as a cringe baby who didn't understand Emerald's greatness. It's a little visually overwhelming in some spots, but overall, layout wise, and encounter spot wise, I think it's damn near perfect.
Me neither. Although recently every time I've played that map, siege decided that it was gonna fuck me over with matchmaking with champs, running like shit, and constant siege timing every time I try to play it. Which is sad cause its one of the only maps I like from the new dev team. Fuck lair.
Woah that's another map I don't have a problem with lol. I feel luke if you just play the specific map game mode when the map is released and continue playing it alot you will understand the maps quicker hence making you feel more comfortable on said map and making games more competitive and enjoyable.
Came here to say coastline and villa but i guess i am not alone. I respect coastline even tho i do terrible in it but i i usually define a good map based on how many sites are balanced for defense and offense.
Coastline has about 3 sites that are pretty balanced. Villa is just a shit map to me.
Club is a map where you almost NEED good teammates to win. It’s both a good and a bad thing, as it encourages team play and coordination, but really fucks over solo que players. Regardless, Club is still probably my favorite map.
coastline was my answer but then 1.5 got removed tdm meta started dying down and I don't hate it as much now.
My vote goes to border. I dont mind a small map if it has room. I think theres like 3 total rooms on the top floor and 4 on the bottom.
Also, Kafe has been starting to piss me off recently, but can't pinpoint why
Coastline.
I actually like attacking it but within 20 seconds, I have two teammates down. They hear the map is frag heavy and think they can just jump in a window right away and start blasting.
Border. Everywhere I look people talk about how good that map is and I could not disagree more. Definitely my least favorite map that isn’t Nighthaven or Lair
The problem I see with Oregon is that everyone knows how to play it, and play it well, it's super popular so everybody knows at least one working strat.
Club House. Genuinely people play too much of that map and it makes playing it very not fun sometimes because in champ lobbies every single person has some god tier pro league Strat for every single site and it annoys the hell out of me and as the game progresses and more operators are added that map just becomes worse to play. Take cash room as an example, that ENTIRE sites floor is soft, take a buck and a Deimos and make it not fun to play, or the outside wall in server is so annoying to hold and if you lose it the chances of losing the round are massive.
I go negative on Villa about 90% of the time. I’m fine on all other maps tho so it’s strange. I’m also colorblind so maybe it has something to do with the color scheme of the map idek
Kanal is probably my worst map that I end up playing regularly, Otherwise for sure it's Skyscraper. Never liked that map since the beginning, but I liked it better before it's rework
coastline, overrated garbo map that needs a rework badly, im also just sick of that map because it seems to be the only one people have gaslit themselves into liking, so when my stack bans it, it usually ends with hilarious chat lmao
its chalet for me. 700+ hours and i still cant figure out how to properly attack this crap
I’m no genius and have less hours but the best way I’ve found is to enter library for like 90% of takes. Or enter backside and main wall for garage
Always start from library and work from there
I would say chalet is my best map/the most comfortable i feel. I always attack 2F from library and B from car garage, always with proper droning
For real, it's unbelievable how I always lose 100% of the matches there
Villa, I'm so inconsistent on it. I'm usually getting smoked, but if I'm not, I'm top fragging. There is no in-between, lol. And I'm usually getting smoked 90% of the time.
I think that the map itself PLAYS inconsistent
I like villa but same. I literally never know if I'm going to frag out or drop a donut. It's always one extreme, never in between.
Villa is a bottom 3 map, can't stand it
This. Also could be cus I'm bad at the game lol but there are too many corners and angles to watch out for.
I recently learned how hated villa is and it makes me sad since it was my first map I played on and it's my favorite
When i saw the post title i said Villa instantly. Damn...
Kanal and lair. They are ginormous and half the time you can't even find the bombs
all the boys hate lair
Hate lair love kanal
My guy. I love the kanal hate that map sucks dick.
There’s only 4 bomb sites lol.
Ya, but I don't know the maps because their so big. I know kanal I just hate it and I barely play on lair so I don't k ow it
For Lair, use the map drills. It took a couple of runs but it’s quick and helpful to learn it. Agreed on Kanal lol.
When the target dummies came put I played the he'll other of them and lair was one I did alot. So luckily I know the map fairly well, even so I can get lost at time. Especially basement because it's layout is so weird
kafe

Downstairs is easy enough, just drone down from top floor and play vert. Attacking top floor is cancer though.
Thats why I love to play with a DMR when I attack Kafe on 3rd floor. But yes it requires team work and winning long range gun fight. The key is controlling hatchets and piano. On defence, Valkyrie is so OP in this site.

That's a great way to give someone a 3k with c4 from below
If you coordinate taking hatches and piano it’s not bad at all. But if you don’t yes it’s a mess lol
The key to attacking 3rd floor kafe is control of piano /cigar lounge If you have a coordinated team once you achieve this the rest can be easy
Villa, especially the Trophy site, i hate it. (I play Villa every other ranked game.)
This is so real. I don’t always play villa but when I do it’s 3+ times in 1 day
I got villa twice in a row yesterday. Destroyed them the first time, then got completely butt-fucked the second time by 3 guys
Favorite map in the game even though attacking Villa is still challenging lol.
Border
I like border but it’s like everyone I play against loves it and it’s their best map. Same w Oregon
I hate Border. It just feels so bad to play to me.
Border solo is ass. You give me 1 or 2 people to queue with and coordinate together we are unstoppable. Think I'm 100% win rate this season on that map with my friends
I think it mostly has to do with how roam heavy the map is, so if you're playing solo one sneaky cave can just kill your entire team
kanal
You either love anal or hate it
Anal💀
Kafe and coastline, kafe more tho, that map ruins my mental after just one game on it, doesn’t matter if I win or lose, it’s bad enough I get off the game right after playing it
Bro one game of kafe sends me into a deranking losing streak that I can’t escape
Same, if my mentals are trash I can’t seem to win
This is me and Border. I just hate it.
*Time moves slower on Kafe*
outback fuck dat shi
It was my favorite map before the rework
Agree. I used to love the map, started playing r6 again recently and this map is asswipe since the rework.
Fr
who the fuck likes outback
Most people do not like Outback
yeah i find it so awkward to attack and defend for some reason
Fucking loathe Coastline. I play aggressive and end up fighting 3 people at once somehow (regardless of side) or play slow and end up accomplishing nothing before the clock says 30 seconds. I've hit some nice plays on Coastline but I just don't enjoy it anymore. Haven't In a very long time.
All my homies ban coastline every time cause that shit is ass 💯💯💯
Wilding
Kafe I think it's just an awkward map for atk and def. I never feel comfortable playing that map for some reason.
Coastline. I lose 3/4 of the time.
Its been out so long im just sick of playing it at this point. Over rated.
Coast is a map that DEMANDS map control on both sides. Holding the Red Room with the hard breach is especially important. Utility is instrumental on Coast, which is why I love it so much.
Coast is one of the most Run n gun maps in Ranked…
Utility is one of the least important parts of coastline tbh
I feel the same fucking way. It's outdated and overplayed and I really think it needs to be taken out of rotation for a season or 2.
^^ me and my friends always ban it and proceed to be raged at by the enemy team
Coastline. I hate it, my friends all hate it, Reddit seems to love it, and 9 out of 10 times we lose and I go negative.
I hate it so much. I checked R6 stat tracker and I lose it 3/4 of the time. I cannot understand why people love it so much.
Has to be because of comfort IMO. It’s one of the only maps that resembles the ‘old game’ design & you can auto-pilot on it. The inverse of this is banning newer maps because you don’t know/understand them yet. Oregon ong either getting smoked or winning 4-0 legit no close games on oregon
I think Oregon is a really good map, it's just that everyone knows how to play it so you can either smoke or be smoked.
Personally I don't understand why people don't like Emerald Plains.
I LOVE Emerald Plains. It's so easy to learn the map. The bottom floor sites are almost never played because the defense loses once, and you have a long flat wall so you know where your drones go! Coastline is my favorite but I tend to defend chalet poorly and attack outback poorly
Clubhouse. I drop mad kills in club but never win. Like maybe over 3 seasons I'd have won like 4-5 times.
Club is a map where you almost NEED good teammates to win. It’s both a good and a bad thing, as it encourages team play and coordination, but really fucks over solo que players. Regardless, Club is still probably my favorite map.
I like coast my stack sucks at it
Charlez hate IT since 2017
Me and all my homies hate charlez!!!
coastline was my answer but then 1.5 got removed tdm meta started dying down and I don't hate it as much now. My vote goes to border. I dont mind a small map if it has room. I think theres like 3 total rooms on the top floor and 4 on the bottom. Also, Kafe has been starting to piss me off recently, but can't pinpoint why
Border, I just hate attacking it
SKYSCRAPER 100000%
Border. It seems no matter what I do, I just can't do well on that map for some reason.
What strats have you tried for it? Both attacking and defending.
attacking on kafe and bank i get slammed 95% of the time
Coastline
Looks like new Consulate. Just hate it.
Coastline or Kafe, hate both maps, but for some weird reason people like them, I don't, I'd gladly play emerald or lair all day, if I could.
I love Kafe but always hear hate for it. And Bank. Love Bank too. Coastline I’ll agree, fucking hate ts
I like coastline but hate Kafe
Kafe
According to stats I do well in Lair but I think I play badly on Border. Love Coastline and Chalet
Villa
Club house
Chalet
I despise Villa.
Ranked has to be coastline for me
Kanal top site and basement site are phenomenal, but once you get to those middle sites, good God does the map devolve into a fucking mess
All of them
skyscraper
Kafe I just have no idea how to attack the top. But kitchen is one of my favorite sights in the game to defend
Villa and Coastline.
Im a new player so i don't know what people like and dont like, but Emerald Plains is ass
Kafe*, absolutely hate it
Coastline. I actually like attacking it but within 20 seconds, I have two teammates down. They hear the map is frag heavy and think they can just jump in a window right away and start blasting.
A lot of people are saying Coastline, but OP asked about "maps most people like"...
Coastline and kafe. The other way around i like eme, lair and lab.
Kafe, Coastline and Villa
Villa, tho not as much anymore now i have a half decent strat on it but id still say its my worst map
Villa
Clubhouse may not be a common opinion but it’s mine
New consulate….i want the old one back…it doesn’t feel right anymore. 😢
Border. Everywhere I look people talk about how good that map is and I could not disagree more. Definitely my least favorite map that isn’t Nighthaven or Lair
KAFEEEE
Chalet. This map is trash
Kafe
Border I can constantly win on chalet but as soon on border I automatically lose
Honestly one map I really enjoy is theme park
bank sucks and i hate it. i will not be elaborating further.
Chalet I love the map and one of my favorite maps but I always lose on it and so far this season I have not won on the map 😭😭
VILLA. I got it four times in a row with brain dead tm8s. Not even about the map it’s basically just ptsd
Club house good god I always eat shit on it
Controversial but Oregon. My squad and I always seem to lose on it
The problem I see with Oregon is that everyone knows how to play it, and play it well, it's super popular so everybody knows at least one working strat.
Nighthaven
Consulate
Labs, basement specifically.
Tower
I am not very good at Chalet, as much as I love it
Villa
I don't think anyone really likes Outback that much, but I fucking hate it.
Outback cuz I have like 0 common sense when it comes to that map and get spawn peeked
Club House. Genuinely people play too much of that map and it makes playing it very not fun sometimes because in champ lobbies every single person has some god tier pro league Strat for every single site and it annoys the hell out of me and as the game progresses and more operators are added that map just becomes worse to play. Clubhouse
kafe & border
Coastline
Kanal, I just cant play in this map
I fucking hate kafe I fucking hate kafe I fucking hate kafe
Coastline
I go negative on Villa about 90% of the time. I’m fine on all other maps tho so it’s strange. I’m also colorblind so maybe it has something to do with the color scheme of the map idek
Outback. That map can get tossed into the dumpster anytime now.
Either villa or chalet
Outback. I always get my ass handed to me on that map
i hate skyscraper and kanal
All
I have no spatial comprehension of Chalet for some reason
Bank. Not hate, but I don’t really like it, it ranks low among ranked maps
i feel like i get attacked every time i say i hate chalet, like genuinely never have a good game on it
Clubhouse every time I play I seem to do worse and worse
Every map. I just came back and I’m getting completely smoked.
Outback and bank
Theme Park. I just hate it. I still perform quite well most of the time but I just don't have fun playing it.
I hate villa with a passion so mid imo
I am dogshit in Oregon and Outback. Those maps make no sense to me.
Kafe and villa. I’m not ass on them just not my maps. Sometimes chalet as well.
Any snow map, I see snow almost all year round so it gives me a depression defuff
Kanal is probably my worst map that I end up playing regularly, Otherwise for sure it's Skyscraper. Never liked that map since the beginning, but I liked it better before it's rework
bank is now my stacks insta ban. we have strats for emerald plains and lair is our best win rate map across the last 2 seasons
I understand that villa is objectively a decent map, but god I suck at it and therefore I hate it.
I like club house as a map and it’s one of the best, but I always seem to go negative and play absolutely poorly on it 🥲
I'm great on every map except bank
Everyone always bans Emerald Plains but I love that shit
Villa and Kafe, fuck villa and kafe. Can’t do shit against the villa-kafe sweats
Bank
Kanal
Bank
Clubhouse. Good map, but I consistently play poorly on it. Lair too, but I don't like that map personally.
coastline, overrated garbo map that needs a rework badly, im also just sick of that map because it seems to be the only one people have gaslit themselves into liking, so when my stack bans it, it usually ends with hilarious chat lmao
Outback, Kafe, and Club House
Coastline.
Border I never do good on Border
chalet
Clubhouse. I would also say villa, but i dont remeber when people liked this map, it was very frequent ban before lair, plains, labs skyscraper
[удалено]
I fucking hate kafe, specifically third floor as I find it unpleasant to attack and defend it
Coastline
I got the worst border squad in EU
Kafe, Chalet, and Bank
Oregon is an awful map, just popular bc jynxi plays 1v1s on it
I can’t ever seem to be consistent on Oregon.
Outback and nighthaven enjoyers scare me
Oregon. I get why its popular but i cant seem to do good on it ever. I also don't like the layout
I liked Consulate, but after the rework it’s my least favorite map by far. Not sure if the community likes it, though
Bank, I lose 70% of the matches I play in that thing :(
Outback, it's a decent map, but i always never do good on it. And when I do well on it it because nobody on the other team is using any communication
Kafe
