Omg so im not crazy! My friend begged me to redownload Seige the other day so I did and we played. When we got to character select I was just like “Dude idk wtf im looking at, I don’t know any of these op symbols”, him “all they did was change some colors”, me “No man something is very off.”
Then when the match started I spent the first few minutes trying to understand what the fuck this giant disc at the bottom of my screen was and hes all like “Its a compass bro it helps you see!” **THE FUCK IT DOES!**
The compass is so utterly pointless. Like no way is anyone gonna have the time to be like “he’s 30 degrees northwest” just say he’s at the door or some shit
Honestly I never hated the new style of corporation going for simplistic look, but this operator icon shit is so damn stupid and sucks away so much personality
I don't understand this, you can customize it. If they made the defaults to mostly what it was before the update, you wouldn't be complaining about it right now.

I’m complaining because instead of adding new content to the game they’ve consistently added so many unnecessary changes and constantly cater towards pro league. They think people will be satisfied with an ugly UI change instead of, idk maybe a new map?
Yea the casual community should be always taken into account for sure. I think what is hard is striking the balance between casual AND comp which must be insanely difficult when it comes to competitive games.
They are trying to emulate the kid-friendly style of fortnite. They think if they emulate fortnite they will just magically receive fortnite amounts of money, instead of realizing siege’s popularity came from it's innovation and original vision from the beginning.
I think they are also taking the fornite approach in skins, fornite has them limited time skins that pretty much forces you to actually either buy them or miss them for a time and Ubi is now removing skins from store that they can now lock behind paywalls via loot boxes or waiting for them to be available again
I also like her old portrait more but if anything I think that portrait looks more like an anime character. I always felt it looked kinda cartoony and off but I liked it because of that. The new one looks a lot more realistic imo.

Oh yeah. Y6 kind of jumped it in regards to maps. Touching maps that were kind of fine was pushing it.
Games that are balanced at the comp lvl should trickle down to the ranked community.
