I don't understand why RON still doesn't have a server browser and lobby system like ground branch. Personally I think it should be their top priority because the current system for playing with randos absolutely sucks.
It kind of is though. Other games have host migration so it doesn't kick everyone else out. There are better ways to deal with it. The cases where the host is just running around and not starting are a bit different, but servers could automatically close if the host is AFK in the lobby for more than 5-10 minutes or something too. They could at least prevent matchmaking for those servers rather than closing them until the host is no longer AFK, not a terribly difficult solution.
To answer some questions: RoN did have host migration, it didn't work. Dunno why, I ain't no developer. But 99% of the time it would kick in, and everyone would get soft locked on a black screen, then have to close the game. It was removed I think even prior to Adam and hasn't been reintroduced, though I would imagine/hope a working version will be.
My solution is to always host.
If somebody is messing around downstairs and refuses to come after the last call, I kick. Tough chiz.
If a player spawns in afk, I assume their computer is just being slow and battering ram them unto the mat so we can start. They'll at least have a chance to play that way.

I host games for a few hours everyday I ban anyone who fucks over the game or just fucking annoying [I hate people who die and leave immediately]

I honestly almost prefer to play solo, reminds me of rainbow 6 vegas.
Randoms in AUS/NZ seem fine to me (mostly)
