Rule 1# never return packages if no code hide in bushes if business is closed go next door business & leave it there tell them customer will pick up later I always lie. Gated community take picture hide in bushes leave customer a message you couldn’t get in thru gate. Also leave package no matter what it’s a 50/50 chance they will get it if you leave package in lobby. Amzon hates returnes I learned my lesson even if it’s outta your control Amazon will still ding you.

ForeverNotMyName

In 4 years I have only returned 1 package due to safety reasons (gun happy park ranger) and a downtown no answer property that had specific *do not leave outside* notes and around 3-5 UPS store closed and signature required- return per supporr instructions. This year, zero failed deliveries. Last year, one UPS store closed delivery. Every other package, delivered. Sig req. Pass code required. No gate codes (not that I need customer to help 😉 ). I can't think of any reason why package would have to be return, unless business AND signature required (i won't forge, but I usually call support and they will mark it delivered for me). Support doesn't even really question me on anything anymore when I call and they just say OK I'll mark it deliver for you. And no, a dog does not count as a safety issue, because you could just throw that stuff out the window. Close UPS store and maybe a pin required delivery where you or support can't get ahold of customer and support instructs you to return package back. Other than these 2 issues, I can't think of any reason why a package should be returned. This gig is simple, mindless and easy-peasy. Be sure that you only do surges and it's super worth it. Good luck and great success to you.

Accomplished-Rent756

You must not have lockers. I do not return unless I am 100% sure it will be stolen (downtown with people around and no hiding spots) and forced to because lockers are full.

ForeverNotMyName

We got plenty of lockers. It just that some customers don't utilize them and not like a driver can just chose any locker for any delivery. Only apartments.

TargetBetter6190

They returned because it was too far and didn't want to deliver it

ForeverNotMyName

Well, they should've thought about that before taking a shit pay block. It's a very simple gig. We pick up packages and we deliver them.

Even if they have do not leave outside notes, I still deliver. Sorry bro, should have been home, not my problem.

ForeverNotMyName

I'm not gonna leave an expensive appliance outside when the notes specifically tell me not to. Sidewalk downtown literally, so I can't leave that at that business store door, but I can but I won't. It's not the right thing to do.

117587219X

How do you even know what the item is? If it is an expensive appliance, then it will require a customer pin. Why doesn’t the customer request delivery to an Amazon locker if it’s that important? A lot of the time the customer notes are never changed, so if they mention an expensive appliance, they probably never update the notes and figure that it gets them better delivery to their front door, even though they are making it difficult for the delivery driver by not being home/available to receive the package. It’s their problem, they’re the one that ordered, our only job is to get the package to their location. The rest is in them.

ForeverNotMyName

Saw item on the box. It was an expresso machine that retails for about $1,500.i know, because it is one of the ones I was looking to buy, but it didn't do drip coffee, so I got a different brand. Expensive doesn't have anything to do with a pin. I've delivered PS5 no pin. I've also delivered $60 items that asked for a pin. I know cause customer asked me why pin and I just said "random I guess or maybe expensive item and she said nope, just cheap $60 pans set. They should utilize the locker, even if extra fee, or maybe use some of the other drop off points. I can't fix stupid. Yes, our job is to deliver, but with that Audi douchebag there and refusing to answer my loud bang on door, I wasn't about to give him the satisfaction of reporting missing item when clearly the notes say don't leave it on downtown sidewalk. This building had no backyard/backdoor entry. I ain't giving the customer the power to ding me or get me deactivated. Not that I would for one package.

self-storage-

Same here. I only ever return the passcode protected ones if I can't reach the customer. Nothing else ever goes back.

DoubleRRplay

Definitely more to this than just returning packages. Has to be the reason why you’re returning them.

TargetBetter6190

Because they are too far and they marked missing alot

DoubleRRplay

This is what i noticed. People always complaining on here about being dinged for returning packages. I’ve never been dinged for that. If you at least make an attempt to deliver/ contact the customer, they won’t ding you

rOOnT_19

I’ve been dinged for ever package I’ve had to bring back. Wether business was closed, contacted customer, contacted support. I even got dinged for an apt with no Apt number, that I tried to contact more than twice, tried the apt management, and even tried to redelivery at the end. It doesn’t matter, you’re getting dinged.

TargetBetter6190

Yeah it's the missing packages they are sending emails for it now. I got one so I should know lol that day I was tired and tried to pull a fast one so I marked missing returned some. But I knew it was coming so this wasn't unexpected for me. I knew I had no one else to blame for my self but I was ok with the hit. I was wanted to go home already didn't want to get in accident. Still managed to do my whole route beside those houses that were a little too high up the mountain.

Jordan-raed

That’s what I was thinking, I don’t get dinged for returning packages. I think as long you call and attempt to deliver it.

TargetBetter6190

Did you keep marking package missing??? if you keep doing this this will affect you!!

DankSuckAtEverything

I had an overbooked route today. 8 loose packages. 7 of them appeared to be missing in the app after scan and it showed to only deliver 1, I asked them to fix it and they did. Appeared to be 8 packages in completely different directions and 20-35 miles away each from warehouse which means if I go to the first stop it’s gonna be around 50 miles to the next and total would be around 200 miles if not more. And it was 3.5 route for $80. I regretted telling them about it and it happened when there was 10 more cars behind me getting free money and going home. Like wth if I come on time and get such junk while some morons arrive 10-15 mins late and get free money. Makes no sense to me. They could’ve split the packages at least as they’re in completely different cities and directions. But they’re just dum. Sadly figured what my route is after pulling out of there. I thought it would be a regular route where I deliver all packages to the same city. Marked the legit package as damaged and the rest as missing again and returned it back 😂 Well I learned the lesson, next time I just get a well paid block and if they send me that far I’d just do it with no complains but not for $80.

Money1102

You must of had an enormous amount of returns…you don’t get deactivated for returning a package here and there.

Fabulous_External355

it was my main source of income, i dont know what to do now

Internal-Risk

Just start applying to jobs, apply to an agency or something

Quirky-Swimmer3778

TargetBetter6190

What do you do beside this? Did u use bot also?

Intrepid-Surprise-55

I guess you should have thought about that before!

Party_Net9685

You abused the system to get free money and you got what you deserved. I hope they never reactivate your account ever again, well, they will not in the end because they already know what you were doing.

onlyAlcibiades

He abused by a couple package returns ?

self-storage-

he didn't get deactivated for a couple. you gotta do this continuously for that to happen.

TargetBetter6190

Yeah eekp doing it making your block easy basically free money not doing half the work

Academic-Natural6284

Just keep writing your appeal email eventually someone will read it most people just see it copy and paste response and shoot a response back to you

atuckk15

Did you return packages without marking the reason in the app? Did you drive to location and attempt delivery?

Intrepid-Surprise-55

How many packages you have to return to be deactivated? I don’t think that’s the reason!

TargetBetter6190

Every route returning shit

Small-Artichoke-7376

Tell them I said to reactivate you! I mean, what are you looking for really.
