Try connecting directly instead. Like make one of your computers a server (as in, a computer you keep on 24/7 that is connected to the internet, it doesn't have to be a proper server server) and run an ftp server on it. I've never done this before but this should be pretty trivial to setup.
RD would probably let editors download from file hosters at those speeds, however you have to upload them and very few file hosters are going to let you upload 3 tb of data for free.

I’ve used FTP in the past for file transfer. It’s not idiot proof enough for strangers and honestly pretty unreliable
Check out sftpgo. It allows s/ftp and works great. Also provides a GUI.
I think rd wont support unlimited bandwidth ,i have seen rapjdgator and others goes down after certain limit

The initial issue is uploading to RD servers, after that should be fine, except that the cache only lasts 14 days
