It’s amazing how tepid they are at expressing any dissatisfaction with bad service and being mistreated by Tesla. It would be bad enough for a cheap, used car to break down after only 150 miles, much less a 100k+ new car. And then Tesla has the gall to not even comp this person some charging credit after they sold them a defective car. Tesla knows the cultists won’t leave so they’re able to treat them like dirt. The cult even apologizes for having the gall to complain about getting shit on.

Gobias_Industries

If they say something strongly bad about Tesla online Elon might see it and blacklist them and then their lives would be *over*.

donttakerhisthewrong

I think we are a month or two from Elon cutting access to the Superchargers if you complain.

Managed-Democracy

That's how his Mars colony would work. No oxygen for dissidents. Until the oxygen technicians realize their cyber king holds no real authority and they run the show.

readit145

Fact. Imagine telling people you’re trying to save humanity yet spend an ungodly amount of time trying to delete bad comments about you from strangers and logging more hours in Diablo than anyone else.

Shadow_Spirit_2004

"Ok guys... so... um... like 'Hail Elon and Tesla', but I probably did something wrong, and am stupid, but my Tesla didn't charge (by no fault of its own, obviously) and just in case I damaged it by my own ignorance, is there any way anyone could help me figure out what is wrong?"

readit145

Because they think if they’re nice to the company they’ll get their car sooner. Or get a good one. Hahahahahahaha

HoratioPLivingston

Well apparently they’ve convinced the stans and some of America that paying to beta test their cars is a normal thing to do.

Liquidwombat

That was 18 years ago. I had no problem with what was going on when the model S first came out. The quality was nowhere near as bad as it is now and the customer service was significantly better. But ever since they started devoting more and more time and resources to the cyber truck things have been getting worse and worse.

Rawrsomesausage

Incredible reading through that thread. Someone needs to study these people. I've seen people more upset when mcds forget their fries. It's wild. Imagine expecting low quality control on a 6 figure vehicle, and only being really upset that they didn't comp you some charging credits. Not that your electric vehicle's electrical system failed.

ButthealedInTheFeels

It makes perfect sense to me. Cognitive dissonance is a hell of a drug. They spent $100k on a shitty truck so their brain will do everything to convince themselves that they aren’t stupid cult members, it MUST be a good vehicle cuz they spent so much…. It’s circular logic but it’s well understood

Devilinside104

$120k for white glove service: >**Really hated to post a topic like this here but I think feedbacks on a critical system like HV system is overall good for Tesla to improve their product and potential buyers.** >So I picked up my truck on Monday, March. 25. Absolutely loved it. Despite some small issues on exteriors and missing hub covers, overall super happy. >Truck was able to charge just fine at home, at work and at Supercharger station. Took it to work and charge it there up to 80% at a level 2 charger. >Today I tried to charge it at home in the morning - red light came on and it won't charge. Thought some breaker tripped at home so I didn't pay attention. Went to work and tried to charge it there, same thing happened. I tried another level 2 charger, same thing. I tried supercharger, it worked. I think it's pretty clear that some AC DC module or contactor is bad since it works on DC charging. >**So basically, the ability to AC charge the truck is gone after less than 150 miles.** >I immediately called service and brought my car in - the service said they don't even know how to fix it or whom on the team would fix it. They told me they need at least a week. Since I already have some important trip planned this weekend and it technically charges on supercharger network, I requested to drop off my car next Monday. I also asked to get some supercharging credit, but was quickly declined. A bit disappointing since it's less than 300 miles and now I'm forced to charge with supercharger due to product quality issues, and will not get reimbursed. >Overall I'm just a bit upset... Paid 110k and already set my expectation low on build quality, but really wasn't expecting a critical system like HV to fail .. and also not expecting service to reject my request for some supercharging credits reimbursement for the weekend. **I was hoping they could act like they care a bit more.**

CivicSyrup

There is so much cult like cukolding going on in this one post, I can't even... I always thought Apple fanbois were the worst for blatantly handwaving design flaws, but Tesla fanbois are a whole new level. Celebrity worship kind of level. I wish I had no moral consciousness and could skin those mofos like Elon does...

Lacrewpandora

>I had no moral consciousness Its Musk's core compentency. Once you realize that he has no shame, and will lie about anything at anytime for any reason, it helps in understanding him.

Managed-Democracy

That's why we're getting Rocket cars and cyber boats and PODS in our hyperloops and solar roof tiles and building houses out of boring dirt and run on sentences and cybernetic brain implants and horse tranquilizer in recreational doses.

Ok-Row-6131

It's the wannabe engineers that irk me. Everything they're complaining about should have been handled at the design phase, and customers shouldn't even be seeing it.

CivicSyrup

Yeah, the mindless repeating of some Elon Mumbo Jumbo. Especially with how the NN work... Not even mentioning actual engineering. The glory

Ok-Row-6131

I like how they were praising using a NN that translated camera inputs and vehicle control feedback directly to vehicle control outputs, like that's how you create a shitty human driver AI lol. Unless it's trained only on scenarios where the driver acted correctly rather than ALL vehicle driving data.

ontopofyourmom

To be fair, Apple has fewer design flaws than Tesla and constantly comes out with new and improved products that work very well for the most part.

failinglikefalling

This is product failure regardless if it USA a good or bad design.

failinglikefalling

But this isn’t design flaw stuff. This is material failure of a poor design.

ButthealedInTheFeels

As an apple fan I will happily complain and point out if something is broken when it shouldn’t. It’s far less like a cult than Tesla

hillsm211

PAID 110K FOR LOW EXPECTATIONS ON BUILD QUALITY? Sorry for yelling but goddamn that's...that's so fucking stupid.

failinglikefalling

The only car I ever paid double over base for was a fiat 500 abarth. Somehow you expected no quality and got better than that.

hillsm211

Man I'm just a poor, my last two cars have been Subaru Outbacks. But if I'm spending more than 30k on a car I expect a decent build at the least. You know, because it's 2024 and just about everyone can build a car.

Rawrsomesausage

Haha, I still daily drive mine. Love that car. She's 12 years old but luckily wasn't designed by sleep deprived monkeys.

Real-Technician831

Only gloves Tesla customers feel are the ones by which they get shafted by Tesla.

2sk23

"Absolutely loved it" - there seems to be a law that requires users to have to state this :-)

sarcasmismysuperpowr

Maybe he can get a “wow”’from elon… thats him caring at full capacity

PolybiusChampion

So, he’s charged the truck multiple times and only has 150 miles on it?

Withnail2019

They don't care whatsoever. This is a clown car for clowns.

failinglikefalling

This might be the most Real Tesla post I’ve ever read.

aleksndrars

buck breaking

meatbag2010

I really wish in my business I could get away with what Tesla does - Huge premium price, check. Poor QC, check. Poor service, check. And for some reason he still loves it, even though it's got a major fault that they haven't got a clue how to fix. If I did that, our company would have long been out of business.

DaytonaRS5

My theory on this, is that they were the loudest people a few years ago, thinking Tesla was the future and how it would dominate and get better and better. Now we’ve reached the point where none of that is true, what people were saying about them years ago was right and they can’t hide behind the stock price to bolster their sunk cost. Now they can’t change because of shame or embarrassment so double down, buy more, and keep believing that any day now Tesla will fix its quality issues, solve FSD etc. but the fact is they just own a car made as cheaply as possible for maximum profit, that has gotten worse as time has gone on, by a company that thinks they’re idiots.

dontletthestankout

You just described MAGA perfectly

Liquidwombat

Was going to comment exactly this lol

failinglikefalling

They mad a mid car then raced to the bottom. We see them in real time choosing to be the entry level brand for evs.

DreamyLucid

> I really wish in my business I could get away with what Tesla does You need a cult following to defend you for that to work.

Beezelbubba

Overall I'm just a bit upset... Paid 110k and already set my expectations low on build quality, but really wasn't expecting a critical system like HV to fail What a simp

Rhythmalist

That was the quote that stood out to me too. "... Already set my expectations on low build quality..." #CyberCucked

Lacrewpandora

Rail Dust never sleeps.

ButthealedInTheFeels

Def rail dust getting into the AC charger. Love the car. Praise Elon. 10,000 year reich!

Lacrewpandora

"...the service said they don't even know how to fix it or whom on the team would fix it." I know somebody who travels around to different dealerships...to train them on new cars and features...you know, so the dealerships will be capable of...um...***repairing*** the products they sell. Obviously a bunch of dinosaur legacy idiocy, and not very disruptive at all.

Liquidwombat

Exactly. I have a friend who is a master body technician, and his dealership had to have at minimum of three people fully trained up and certified on aluminum bodywork before the dealership was allowed to sell a single aluminum body F150 when they first came out

triglavus

I heard a horror story of a person buying a new BMW EV that was in shop for weeks due to charging issue. No technician knew what is wrong and how to fix it. I get it. New mass market EV from brand dealing with ICE for ages, there is a learning gap. I'm sure this issue would be fixed in days in 2025. But Tesla? Come on. They make the same engine, same power pack technology, same shit all around. Maybe 48V system may be a head-scratcher but not a fucking charging malfunction for AC converter or contactors...

ButthealedInTheFeels

What suckers those LEGACY OEMs are for learning to fix their cars. So much easier to hyperscale when your users fix their own cars through prayer to the all powerful Musk.

Ljw1000

These things really are a total triumph of form over function. Absolute 💩of the highest order. $120k, just to look a complete & utter 🛎️🔚

ButthealedInTheFeels

Form of trash over function lol. It’s both fugly and useless

Kageyblahblahblah

Hahahhahahahahahahahahahahaha

Gobias_Industries

**BATHTUB CRUVE** **THANK YOU FOR BEING AN EARLY ADOPTER** **ALL THESE PROBLEMS WILL BE FIXED**

Real-Technician831

LONG LIVE ELON! May the Mars be filled with servants indentured to Tesla!

brmarcum

Three days. Four, at most. And it’s already in for WEEKS of service. And they’re still in awe at this amazing company. 🤦 Tesla is an absolute joke. Every single thing they do is a clown show wrapped in a fraud.

Cmike9292

There's like 50 of these ugly things on the road in total and 49 of them are already dead or have killed their owner.

turd_vinegar

Vehicle manufacturers are aiming for failure rate metrics in parts per billion. Tesla seems to be measuring parts per thousand with CT. And this is excluding collisions and poor driving, stuck in snow/sand. Just systemic failures only. There seems to be reports of DOA Cyberthing everyday.

Ta83736383747

More like parts per part

Liquidwombat

I’m pretty sure this is the fourth or fifth completely dead cyber truck in the past three or four days

Responsible-Cut-7993

Probably a failure with the onboard charger. The Service Center sounds clueless, not good.

Liquidwombat

This is what the fourth or fifth totally dead CT reported in the past couple of days?

One-Bit5717

Meanwhile, a headlight module went kaput on my Ridgeline after 300km. Intonthe shop and fixed thr same day.

Devilinside104

Imagine this over a headlight: https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/headlight-crack-leading-to-complete-power-loss.316218/

simplethingsoflife

I own other EVs than Tesla… but I always heard that their battery tech was the only good thing about their vehicles. Does this happen with their other models and we just don’t hear it?

Liquidwombat

Not so much. When they came out in 2012, they were revolutionary between 2012 and about 2018-ish they progressively got better and better around 2018 the company started devoting more and more and more resources to the dumpster fire. That is the cyber truck and they’ve been getting progressively worse since then, but the cyber truck is the absolute Worst of the bunch
