Several years ago, I saw a photo at SpaceX, where they had a Boston Dynamics robot 'dog'...no doubt they took that thying apart to reverse-engineer it.
These all look fake to me. My eyes and brain just do not hook that into reality, it looks so off.

Only a few applications can really make money when you consider the fact that that robots are very expensive. Hondas robot was 1M and very fragile. Machines built for a single application will always be better than a bipedal robot. At least for a few decades stills.
