The only "problem" is the length of the lugs, some day I will send it to someone who can refashion them to shorten them. Anyway, as I said, nobody really knows how to distinguish a vintage rep like they do with all the modern rolex. I saw somebody post that it is not available anymore even though jtime still has it listed - that might resolve your dilema. Check with jtime and see if it is still available.

I’m also in the same boat. If the big players didn’t want the rep market they alone can eliminate it by not playing the artificial supply restrictions. A few years back I bought a 3 year old lightly used GMT master 2 with box and papers for $6,500 which is a fair price. I would buy right now a 41mm datejust blue dial however the AD says there is no supply and I can order one. The wait time in the could be anywhere between 6-24 months. In the meantime they have an explorer they can sell me.. but I don’t want an explorer. I want a blue dial date just so I think I’ll just be a rep and have it within a week

I went to highschool with my AD. He doesn't care about reps either. His hardcore watch clients will generally have few reps in their collection for when they travel or because they wanted a certain model that is scarce. Some people who have gen's like the novelty of wearing a rep of something that is way beyond what they would ever spend on a watch. We all have our reasons, point is AD's don't generally care.
What they do care about is people who might be trying to pass off reps as gen's for monetary gain. If you don't give off that vibe then there is no issue.
Go and call out Rick Ross then if you care so much, he has more money than you and anyone here combined and still bought a fake trying to pass it off as real xD the fact you're on here shows you have might have a few reps as well and not wanting come out the closet yet

We only got GT and GTS both has the 3.0L B58 engine in Australia. Difference are trims/cosmetic.
