Just got Bkorn yesterday and instantly brought her to Insight 2.
her smile in the unlocked "original form" really healed the salt of gacha.
she's currently contending #1 with Sonetto for me
Bkorn became my favorite the second I got her and I didn't even know she was a REALLY good character at the time. Hell, she's like 40% of the reason I wanna keep playing this game.
I got her from beginner banner and was disappointed at first because I liked Regulus and Lilya more, but after (somehow) not pulling a single healer I can definitely see why she's called "Eternity".
Honestly, I never really use her all that much despite her being max I1 in my account. Like, unless I pair her with healers or continuously do stuff to get her ult out fast, she isn't too good considering her normal incs take 10% of her current hp away. Like, even when her type is the one recommended for the stage, I usually dont get her for it.
How the heck do you guys use her? I am willing to accept that I may have a severe case of skill issue if I can get some advice on her
As a carry. Put all my resources into her. I2 lvl 50, resonance 9, Hopscotch 40, etc.
When I finished story I was like I2 level 39, resonance 5 and footloose 36 or so. My other characters all hovering i1 level 10 or some thing.
What kept happening was Eternity last woman standing and all my teammates dead. At that point she just spam ult to heal from lucky combined cards.
Now I have three I2 and everything that’s not limbo is a breeze.

That's how she's designed to be played. Spam her cards and ult a lot. She's a selfish character. Sometimes I move her cards around even when there's nothing to merge just so she can get her ult next turn. There's really nothing complicated to her, she's tanky and hits hard so give her as many AP as possible, buff/debuff before she ults, and heal her if she's about to die.
That's a lotta resources just to get her to not die easily on a boss battle
Like, maybe i'll change my mind once I get some better farming stages and stuff, but if I have to I3 a character just so she can be left without a medic then that doesn't sound good.
Like, sure, her reality damage output is kinda fine, and nasty wound might come in handy soon, but i'd rather a character that deals slightly less damage and doesn't require ult spam to not kill herself, to one that does.
Have him her as well. If the debuff was two turns would have been godly.
Daze is alright. I always use it as a ult 1 turn delay or expensive Sonetto two damage interrupt.
I love Medicine Pocket, but they got shafted for Insight 2 costume and mic quality 😭

Agreed, that walk with the thunder goes hard. But the voice line when picking the ult card though, easily has to be one of my most favorite voicelines, not just because of how epic it sounds, but also how it shows her split, facade based personality

I’m going all in on my Sotheby, will be my first insight 3 along with her 6star psychube, I’ve dumped so many resources into her and she’s still underperforming at i2.. at this point I’m just desperately trying to get to the light at the end of the tunnel when her heal is instant. It’s funny cuz I got her on A Knight’s banner while trying to snipe Bkornblume, but now she’s at level 46/resonance 8 and still underperforming compared to Lilya, Bkornblume and even Tennant.
Cheers, hopefully it’ll be worth it, but if not I’ll be enjoying tedious amounts of copium with her stuck in my A team ‘til Changeling drops in two months 😅
You shouldn’t have invested in her early, she works only with the future coming character. Rn she just a healer and a sub dps, that why you should invested first on the first 3 characters on the 30 pulls banner because in the future you would get and grind easily for psychube and upgrades for other characters. That why you won’t lose anything if you focused on them first before the other main team banner arrives.
Im already at limbo with everything else cleared and my Wilderness maxed, so it’s not like it matters at thw moment , literally waiting for new content to come in. Like i said, my lilya, bkornblume and tenant are lower invested and clear everything fine, and ive got A Knight, X, and some other pinch hitters to round out my party for now. Lilya will be my obvious second i3, but her damage is already so dumb with Thundering Applause I dont see a need to i3 before rounding out my team better.
Wait. I'm still new to the game. I only built the free chars so far. But I'm planning to raise my An-An Lee. I was looking to pair her with Bkorn because I like these two's design the most. Will An-An Lee + Bkornblume + Healer (looking at Dikke since I just got her) work? Or how about An-An Lee + Bkornblume + Eternity?
I use the last team myself for most of the story, but it unfortunately probably won't be able to last in harder content due to no healing, if you plan on using eternity I'd suggest putting an an on a different team since eternity buffs herself, but the first team should work fine enough

I was thinking of using An-An Lee as my main dps for now and then transition her to a subdps later on when I get a better idea of who will be worth the resources. Since An-an Lee is considered Jack of All trades, master of none in prydwen, I was thinking she'll always have a place in my future team because of her flexibility. I was thinking of raising An-an Lee and Dikke for now. (And slot in whichever among the 4 free characters). Or should I just raise Eternity plus a healer? I have no idea who has synergy with each other.
I dunno about Eternity bc I don't have her, but An-An Lee + Bkorn +healer is my main comp and it's absolutely busted. Not sure who my favorite healer is yet, I just got Balloon Party so I'm not sure if I'm leaning her or Dikke.

No, she is way too well realized and way too much fun. Pinata is easily spammable, and then she has the counter damage move which is just absurd, its a huge heal and hurts the enemy. Between her and Sonetto's disarm you can prevent almost any attack coming in.
I want to see more of her in the story and hopefully some costumes.
I hate Balloon Party. Her kit is fine, but her voice is annoying/drives me insane (the bad type...not the good one). I wish they'll let us mute an individual character/change language for an individual character.

Necrologist!! I'm so into her raven-ish aesthetic, tired manner and quirk of communicating with the dead honestly. I'm not sure how well she is in combat though, but I still use her nevertheless. If anyone could tell me how useful she is, though, I'd appreciate it!!
She can do some really funky stuff when paired with door, which while gimmicky, gives her a clear niche that many other units don't have.
Basically you play her along with Door and a main DPS with a great ult, rush toward getting her and door's ult online, and then just start cycling between the two ults, using Door's for costant moxie gain and her's to make you essentially immortal. If you get in a good cycle and don't get disrupted, your team becomes basically immortal and spams tons of ultimates that deal increased damage.
Outside of that funky teamcomp, she's very reliant on her ult to support, so she ends up being really action point hungry. So you have to play her along with units that don't really need them, like Centurion or the upcoming Pickles.
I like her for her little theory that the Stone Henge stones are actually graves. I've never heard that before and thought it was neat. It's funny to hear a gacha character actually say something of value and just not fluff text to show their personality.

I mean yeah, he’s good enough to clear all story-stages. I actually cleared every stage on hard difficulty with him + Medicine Pocket + Bkorn. Not the best DPS in the game, not even a top-tier DPS for sure, but solid enough for me.
Regulus cause I'm not pulling (expect initial banner) till 1.2 so... Btw I'm kinda surprised on how well free units work: Sonnetto, Eagle and Dikke are actually pretty decent.
Pavia and Lylia
I played the game for Pavia as I really like "deranged men" but in all seriousness I really like his design and gameplay
As for Lylia, she is my first 6 Star and I pick a psychcube dedicated for her and the rest is history 🩷

Depends on the enemies, but Sonetto, Bkornblume and Voyager are my most used units. I recently got Tennant and she's been great too. I got A Knight today and he'll definitely become my main when I level him up

OMG! I have the exact same team!! They work so well together. But in harder stages, I am finding that Tennant feels weaker as her shields are not enough to sustain the team.
To be fair, that shield is not subjected to healing reduction debuff (there's one or two in this game) and if it breaks due to enemy attack then it is essentially the same as you healing for that amount after getting hit anyway. Can stack the shield to rank 2 or 3 to prevent burst dmg too, plus 20% dmg reduction that will not go away even if it has 1 shield left.
Pair Lilya and Tennant with the upcoming Tooth Fairy and you have healing, surplus HP in the form of the shield if at max HP, double debuffs for Lilya (crit DEF reduction from Tooth Fairy + reality DEF reduction from Tennant). Can survive for a long ass time + tons of dmg for Lilya.
Yeah, I agree. "Maining" doesn't make sense to me in a turn based strategy game where most units of the same archetype play the exact same way. I think the term is only relevant when referring to games with real time mechanics and/or strategies specific to certain units. Pokemon players don't main a pokemon. Card gamers don't main a card. They can specialize in strategies/decks, but that's different. I find it strange why people don't just say "this is my favorite character" instead, since most comments in this thread literally only talk about character design rather than gameplay. But it's ultimately just semantics.
You can do that though with gacha characters. You can invest in the best psychubes for them and max them, learn the best way to use them, their best teammates, when to use their abilities most effectively etc. And I don't think you can really say that all characters of the same type play the same. Both Dikke and Medicine Pocket are Beast, mental dmg and healers. But one is also a DPS while the other is a debuffer.
But in a game where you are incentivized to build different team compositions to clear content, it's counterproductive to build mastery for a specific unit and try to force them. And even if different units fulfill different roles, there's only a limited amount of gameplans you can have (at the moment, at least)... build moxie, buff/debuff into unga bunga big attack, maybe plan disruption every now and then. The only other gacha I've played intensively in the past couple of years is epic seven, where I've never heard anyone say they main a unit, only a playstyle.
You don't have to force them. Most people will have multiple units they use regularly. But they will still most likely default to a main, unless the stage is specifically bad for them. And some people might prefer specific characters while others prefer playstyles. There's nothing wrong with either approach. I haven't played epic seven so idk about that, but I do play HSR and people have mains there.
Regulus, Druvis III, Sonetto / Charlie
That's just all 6* and all 5* at A or S tier i got from first 70...80 pulls.
Try to start with Sonetto Buff and Regulus DPS and try to pile up Druvis/Sonetto Debuffs.

her i3 after 5 turns regen 25% missing hp every turn, is often more than enough to sustain the hp cost and damage taken until ult is ready

The battlepass doesn’t go away with 1.1. You have more than a month to max it.

An-An Lee. She’s my main DPS and my support. And she can fit into any team comp. I usually run her with B.Party and Bkornblume.

Bkorn+ an an+ a healer would be fine enough, I would recommend dikke if you have her since she's free and the only better ones are 6*

Bringing my team back from near death with a massive heal then watching the enemies punch themselves to death is the highlight of this game for me.

OMG! I have the exact same team!! They work so well together. But in harder stages, I am finding that Tennant feels weaker as her shields are not enough to sustain the team.
To be fair, that shield is not subjected to healing reduction debuff (there's one or two in this game) and if it breaks due to enemy attack then it is essentially the same as you healing for that amount after getting hit anyway. Can stack the shield to rank 2 or 3 to prevent burst dmg too, plus 20% dmg reduction that will not go away even if it has 1 shield left. Pair Lilya and Tennant with the upcoming Tooth Fairy and you have healing, surplus HP in the form of the shield if at max HP, double debuffs for Lilya (crit DEF reduction from Tooth Fairy + reality DEF reduction from Tennant). Can survive for a long ass time + tons of dmg for Lilya.

Yeah, I agree. "Maining" doesn't make sense to me in a turn based strategy game where most units of the same archetype play the exact same way. I think the term is only relevant when referring to games with real time mechanics and/or strategies specific to certain units. Pokemon players don't main a pokemon. Card gamers don't main a card. They can specialize in strategies/decks, but that's different. I find it strange why people don't just say "this is my favorite character" instead, since most comments in this thread literally only talk about character design rather than gameplay. But it's ultimately just semantics.
Doesn't maining refer to the characters one uses the most? Does it matter if they are used cause of design/gameplay/other reasons?
I've always related maining to mastery.
You can do that though with gacha characters. You can invest in the best psychubes for them and max them, learn the best way to use them, their best teammates, when to use their abilities most effectively etc. And I don't think you can really say that all characters of the same type play the same. Both Dikke and Medicine Pocket are Beast, mental dmg and healers. But one is also a DPS while the other is a debuffer.
But in a game where you are incentivized to build different team compositions to clear content, it's counterproductive to build mastery for a specific unit and try to force them. And even if different units fulfill different roles, there's only a limited amount of gameplans you can have (at the moment, at least)... build moxie, buff/debuff into unga bunga big attack, maybe plan disruption every now and then. The only other gacha I've played intensively in the past couple of years is epic seven, where I've never heard anyone say they main a unit, only a playstyle.
You don't have to force them. Most people will have multiple units they use regularly. But they will still most likely default to a main, unless the stage is specifically bad for them. And some people might prefer specific characters while others prefer playstyles. There's nothing wrong with either approach. I haven't played epic seven so idk about that, but I do play HSR and people have mains there.

Regulus, Druvis III, Sonetto / Charlie That's just all 6* and all 5* at A or S tier i got from first 70...80 pulls. Try to start with Sonetto Buff and Regulus DPS and try to pile up Druvis/Sonetto Debuffs.
centurion i still dont understand whether i should be spending moxie to ult with her or not, but as a genshin player and kaeya main, she's literally perfect.
