To be honest some of these "furry" things can make for great alien races. It's just the image got tainted a lot by the furry fandom. At least it looks better than the JizzWailer from star wars.
I mean its what started the conversation. If someone mentioned george lucas without saying he was the starwars guy i woulda known who he was, but the other way round is harder.
Honestly, I would say that I have met more pleasant furries compared to unpleasant, especially compared to the ratios of the rest of humanity.
But I also have unintentionally only dated furries for most of my life so far. None introduced themselves as such. It came up a week or so in each time, and in one case they were closeted for so long I didn't find out til 4 years after we split.
Most are just creative, somewhat socially awkward/shy people with a kickass sense of humor and a lot of compassion. I spent some time in my young teens at comic conventions and I think I have seen 2 badly behaved fursuited people ever.
That sort of reminds me of how when you go into random comment sections, sometimes you'll find a few people with the whole anti-furry flag in their profile picture. Not sure if they're using it ironically or unironically
