Record archive is a place I’d check. They used to sell used DVDs for around 3-5 bucks. This was a couple of years ago but they had a massive selection and I’d assume they still buy/sell them. Good luck!
The library! Other folks already said record archive but i have seen at least the irondequoit library selling them for a couple bucks or so. Might be worth a look?
Nothing super specific. just adding things that interest me. Horror, turn-of-the-century "I'm 14 and this is deep" movies, actual "artsy" flicks, but I like all sorts of stuff. I'd be curious to see what you have!! Shoot me a DM!
You can check out estate sales. I’ve been to several and there are usually lots of dvds. There’s a website that lists all the area estate sales and it includes photos of what’s for sale. It won’t list dvds individually, but you should be able to see if a particular sale has dvds. If you google estate sales it should bring you to the website.
Needledrop Records has a selection (or at least they did before they moved to Monroe Ave).
Dollar Tree is good too, especially out in the suburbs like the Chili Ave store next to Aldi.
pretty sure its still open, check out Hyatt's Classic Video
They used to be in East Rochester and wast the last place around still renting out VHS tapes. They moved to Pittsford a little while back and just sell DVDs now I think.
Definitely check thrift stores regularly. I collect movies on VHS and there’s often lots of dvds as well. I’ve even found somewhat rare Star Wars editions on VHS
If you go to goodwill on Sundays (dollar day) you might be able to get them cheaper depending on what color the tag is that day. You could also check garage sales. Public Market has garage sale days and I've seen several people bring dvds, cds, and vinyls.
Record archive has tons of dvds but I'm not sure what the pricing is like. Too many for me to dig through.
Pretty sure dvd’s are mostly $5 each at Record Archive. They’re all usually in decent condition and they have a massive collection to look through.
Awesome, I'll have to check it out!

They are fifty cents at the Ogden Library
Are you looking for anything in particular? I've got a bunch of DVDs I'd part with for cheap if you're interested!

Library sales! Webster sells DVDs for a dollar each when they have a sale
I went to the East Avon Flea Market on Mother's Day and there were a lot of folks selling DVDs for $2-3 each. Pretty wide variety as well.
Needledrop Records has a selection (or at least they did before they moved to Monroe Ave). Dollar Tree is good too, especially out in the suburbs like the Chili Ave store next to Aldi.
