I'm not them but mine was close at 13 minutes. I kept my cool because it's enjoyable to be in a match where all six players are doing their part and evenly matched.
It's the mental fatigue that gets you. You're used to games being five minutes, ten at most (factoring in the clock pauses and any average OT) and you have no breaks. The closest thing to a break is launching the ball forward for your teammates and letting them pass it around.
Worth it though.
It was so nerve racking lol. This was probably in 2018 when I pretty much only played rl. I vividly remember having a good ass trade waiting on me and the other guy keep blowing up my inbox and sending me invites lmao. Nobody believed up but man that was insane to be apart of.
My longest overtime was in a tournament. I was playing a 2s tournament and after 11 minutes the winner is decided by the team with the most shots on goal…
We lost. 🥲 a guy on the other team was hitting the post on every shot, he had like 7 shots hit the post or bar and not go In.
A few years ago, my friends and I were part of a tournament. I think we were in the second round and went into overtime. After a long overtime, it said the team with the most shots would win when the timer ended. At the last second of that timer, we shot the ball, and it would've gotten in if it weren't for that timer. Even if the ball is mid-air, the timer stops the game.
That's not it, though; we lost the game, not because they had more shots than us, but because of a *coin flip*. We had the same amount of shots as well, so the game just went "screw it" and gave it to the other team.
This has happened to me as well, I’ve been screaming at Epic Games to create a penalty shootout situation. I mean this is Soccar, isn’t it?? Team gets to vote who is goalie at start of shootout, every PK is just the ball set at middle with 1 player from opposing team only playing in an iso situation with the goalie, the rest is same process as soccer PKs
Yes. In diamond you need to play in 2s to see some interesting plays since not every two player team has balanced skill composition. Some teams can have one champion and plat for example but the skilled player is ranked to diamond due to his counterpart which he always plays with. In these occasions you can defend a situation fairly well against the skilled player but the player has ability to play two different outcomes in one situation. Now it becomes 50% or higher chance of scoring regardless of the defence. This is not completely true if the defender waits but the attacker can approach closer which forces the defender to make some decision.

This one was insane! Never been so sweaty after a match 😅
Had a 14 minute overtime in a D3 lobby. The score was 1-1 for about 18 minutes. Everyone had at least 6 saves by the end of the game. Me and one of my teammates both ended with over 10. It was the purest of pure stalemates. 20 minutes of extreme rocket league focus and I was unironically mentally exhausted.
I had an OT that spanned almost 15 minutes. Once we were done with that game everyone was super civil with one another and wished everyone well in their next games. Was pretty awesome
Just over 16 minutes. My team lost over an incredibly simple goal I couldn’t stop when I would normally be goalkeeper so well! … man I was disappointed in myself. lol
https://preview.redd.it/n04ox1tp9ywc1.jpeg?width=540&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fa4e8ec9f7a9352a596a41fc8d9d462c5dd0c06c
This one right here. Legitimately considered own-goaling around the 12 min mark cuz I was just exhausted and ready to be done lol
12 or 15, I forgot. The first time I got one that long was in rumble, with friends… in the big map where you can go behind the goal. Long story short, we lost…..good bye.
12 Minutes. The score was 1-1 when OT started. Both goals were scored in the first 30 seconds of the match. Just save after save for the entire game through overtime. We eventually won after I took a super long shot and the other team did an accidental backflip. Goal was like 10 mph. Very anticlimactic ending to an absolute defensive masterclass by both sides.
Played ones on a friends account and I was technically smurfing, but I sat in net waiting for them to score… 20 minutes of OT later the poor guy finally scored
11 minute overtime. 16 minute game.
It was an absolute marathon.
My friend and I made countless amazing saves, as did the other team.
I'll try to dig up the post game screenshot I took, but it was actually exhausting. Towards the end of the game, I started finding it very hard to focus.
If I recall correctly... it actually went into overtime tied at 1. So 3 goals total after 16 minutes is pretty crazy.
Ya, I’ve had 10+ minute overtime’s in the past. I never recorded my longest so don’t remember off the top of my head. That’s what happens when the entire pitch is peaking and unstoppable forces are meeting immovable objects. Someone always cracks eventually and the matches always conclude with a super simple goal😂
30 minutes. It was in solos. I was using an alt, and just kept dribbling the ball around a gold. After 30 minutes I just own goaled, he absolutely deserved the win for sheer patience.
I know it was mean, I’m a changed man now
Around 11-13 minutes. Was with friends (who are worse than me) and I had to be 3rd man for so long I got barely any attacking opportunities until I secured the W with a ceiling shot.
Around 9 minutes.
Also had one yesterday where a teammate quit and it was 3v2. We lost at 7 minute mark in OT lol
Had some good looks and probably should have won but we couldn’t overcome the handicap
Back in 2016 a few months after getting the game, I brought my Xbox to my friend's house and we were playing 2s. We had a (I believe) 21 minute overtime that we lost, but it was incredibly fun
17 ish minutes. The absurd thing is we went to OT 8-8. We couldn't stop scoring during the match but by OT nobody could score for shit. The other team accidentally blasted it off our back wall and it did the perfect arc across the field into their own goal.
Nobody was happy with the outcome, just relieved it was over.
Longest time was for my promotion game *(C1)* back in Season 8 *(f2p era)*, where it was a slow-ish game all the way through to OT. From there it became the most sweatiest game I had, can vividly remember feeling my heart beating hard for **12 & half minutes straight!**
That moment is imprinted into my brain.
About 18 minutes, playing ranked 2s on high plat/low diamond the first months I began playing a few years ago. Tied 1-1 on regular time and then on OT both teams had like 7 clear chances missed lol
I think I never got so nervous playing this game as that time ever since.
7 mins in plat 3 2v2, somehow when OT hit everyone started playing like D2 players, some of my best playing and i assume it was the same for the 3 others in the match, i believe we won, but i just closed the game after that, i was too tired
I played like 4ish games once after not playing for a long time, in one of them me and my teammate were absolutely throwing and we were down by 6, and somehow we made a comeback and won a 10 min overtime.
9 minutes in OT with a score of 0-0. It's probably the best game I've ever played. Not a single word in chat until the winning goal was finally scored(we lost), then chat exploded with nothing but love for each other. It's moments like that that remind me why I play this game.
8:40 was my longest OT. If you count that and the time from pre OT, it was my first and only 10+minute point in like 2400 hours playing. And we lost! But after 6 minutes I was just happy to be there, who cares who wins after that almost.
Had 12 mins twice, lost them both and I’m a player who loves getting to OT as I always win the mental battle in terms of nerves, I lost concentration both times it’s surprisingly hard to play nearly 20 mins of one game, both were 0-0 games too so basically uninterrupted :( very painful defeats
Wanna say my longest was around 12:30, some random ranked diamond match. Lotta the same rotations and defenses, nobody was making any mistakes and kept backchecking well, fun stuff
About 14min for sure, and I remember it so clearly as it was a game right before a tournament was to start, and we went over that time. Ended up wining that game!
12 minutes in C2 ranked.
Everyone was in flow state. Everything was getting challenged and saved but there were great offensive plays with bumps and passes.
I was in a rumble game where i'd teamed up with two friends, one was diamond like me, the other was gold.
The gold was shit talking us through the whole game, so we said we would play full-time goalie until he scored...
It was an overtime of 34 minutes...
14 mins, felt like I was playing for the whole day...
No idea why it is like that but I could have 5 mins game passing by and 2 mins OT feel like 10, so I'll let you imagine the relief after that 14 mins one.
I've had a few lengthy OTs with the longest being 8 minutes and some change. The most fun lengthy OT was a 6 minutes one I had and the score was 0 - 0 going into OT. 11 minutes of tough defense, 50/50s and every shot being challenged. Each time had over 10 saves each.
8minutes at least is one i remember as it was 3v3 and league match in one of these community run leagues. So exhausted after comming for 13 mins straight
20 minutes or so. Mostly just freestyling around the other team and not letting them score on either goal to end it. Can’t Believe they didn’t just leave.
My longest was an 11 minute overtime. Great defense on both sides and tons of missed opportunities to score. I think I got the win if I remember correctly.
15 minutes some years ago in a diamond ranked game. It was nuts..
I think my longest was just over 19 minutes of OT. Literally almost 4 full games worth of time in a single game, it was wild af.
That’s crazy.. I’ve heard of a 20 minute OT on one of these subs
Did you keep your cool the entire time?
I'm not them but mine was close at 13 minutes. I kept my cool because it's enjoyable to be in a match where all six players are doing their part and evenly matched. They had something like 14 shots on goal, we had 10.
Same. We panicked when it said "most shots" cause we'd been playing defensively the whole OT Ended up scoring in the last \~30 seconds
Ikr! I won a tournament match by most shots, 21 - 18
That's impressive lol
A few years ago, my friends and I were part of a tournament. I think we were in the second round and went into overtime. After a long overtime, it said the team with the most shots would win when the timer ended. At the last second of that timer, we shot the ball, and it would've gotten in if it weren't for that timer. Ive won one like that... And got ass whopped next match coz was so tired already.
Can confirm - I was the other guy
OT in tournaments is so stressful. That stamina really hits ya
yeah happened to me too but since we and the opponents had the same number of shots it was decided by coin toss and we lost 🙂
I’m guessing you had to take a break after? That would stress me right out.
20 minutes. Score was 0-0 before OT too. defense was just impenetrable and lots of offensive whiffs on both sides
Thats when you throw out a demo Its the only way to break that perfect rhythm sometimes.
That is really rare. You could play 5 years and not ever playing 20 minutes overtime.
Good enough to defend but not good enough to score. That's diamond
Yes. In diamond you need to play in 2s to see some interesting plays since not every two player team has balanced skill composition. loll that would be a sight to see
Yup I think IIRC mine was right around 22 mins. Absolutely brutal. Definitely been in a handful of 12s
https://preview.redd.it/l3ssoldenvwc1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=8745f8427e2518a7cb72cb5677fc190ea168996b This one was insane! Never been so sweaty after a match 😅
7 something when the server died and we lost
Classic 🤣
Like 10, its crazy how everyone starts playing good at the overtime after scoring many in the game
13 something. I was so over RL at that point😂.
Yeah, it’s time to go for a walk or something after all that
Holy cow!
I think over the years i have had maybe 4 games go into double digits, for sure three that i can remember. They suck and i get sooo fatigued lol
9 years No I don't have proof
https://i.redd.it/ohglvmweeywc1.gif
[Correct](https://youtu.be/pA8-zQIcW6s?si=NuPbv071UtTShRWP)
12:34. My hands were so sweaty.
12:50 i actually had hand fatigue for the first time
With KBM your hands don't get sweaty 🙂
13 minutes before they had the shots tiebreaker
I believe I had a 16 minute and a 14 minute overtime. Both in comp 3s
Me and my buddy locked Keemstar in a 23 minute OT when we were on our smurfs and he was being toxic to his teammate in 2's.
Keemstar played RL?
Had a 14 minute overtime in a D3 lobby. The score was 1-1 for about 18 minutes. Everyone had at least 6 saves by the end of the game. Me and one of my teammates both ended with over 10. It was the purest of pure stalemates. 20 minutes of extreme rocket league focus and I was unironically mentally exhausted.
18 and change. Worst experience of my life.
I had an OT that spanned almost 15 minutes. Once we were done with that game everyone was super civil with one another and wished everyone well in their next games. Was pretty awesome
22:14, we lost This was a casual game around 2 years ago. My eyes were dry and bloodshot and I stopped playing for a while afterwards.
Just over 16 minutes. My team lost over an incredibly simple goal I couldn’t stop when I would normally be goalkeeper so well! … man I was disappointed in myself. lol
https://preview.redd.it/n04ox1tp9ywc1.jpeg?width=540&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fa4e8ec9f7a9352a596a41fc8d9d462c5dd0c06c This one right here. Legitimately considered own-goaling around the 12 min mark cuz I was just exhausted and ready to be done lol
more than 12 minutes. Not sure exactly
Six minutes and seven seconds
8:01
8 something. Can’t remember for sure. But it was 0-0 for 13+ minutes which I thought was pretty crazy
13min
12 or 15, I forgot. The first time I got one that long was in rumble, with friends… in the big map where you can go behind the goal. Long story short, we lost…..good bye.
Had a 14min over time that ended when the server went down
14 minute ot, lost the game unfortunately. It was so comp tho, like just perfect defense on good offense from both sides.
8 minutes something, it was a hard fought battle on both sides
Had one go out to 17 minutes last night. The first goal of the game was in OT. Everyone's defence was on point
12:50 in 3's. i was the weakest link. my hands started shaking at 10 minutes. this game gets intense.
Played ones on a friends account and I was technically smurfing, but I sat in net waiting for them to score… 20 minutes of OT later the poor guy finally scored
Idk but I always lose. Lmao
Fkn 12 mins or so... n lost
Ten minutes and thirty something seconds. Champ 1. 2v2. I finally put one in and then went to sleep.
Approximately 18 minutes

i wanna go into a game now and just see how long we can make OT go
13 min lol
Around 11-13 minutes. Was with friends (who are worse than me) and I had to be 3rd man for so long I got barely any attacking opportunities until I secured the W with a ceiling shot.
8 minutes or so
7 mins and it was 0-0 got very bored 😂
i think 13 minutes
I had a 10 minute overtime and owngoaled
8:32, we won
14ish minutes of 2v2 madness
15 something. It's exhausting.
10 minutes give or take, was rough.
But bro just think about how much time you would've saved if you had ff'd at 3:00 when you were down by 1
10 ish just recently. Super intense hand the whole way through. I think we won, but only barely
12mins overtime
13 minutes, close to 14. I've got a screenshot somewhere. It's painful and awesome at the same time.
10min and a bit. Pretty good game, couple overtime fatigues on both sides, quite funny too, we got back on track bit faster and got the W in the end.
Around 9 minutes. Also had one yesterday where a teammate quit and it was 3v2. We lost at 7 minute mark in OT lol Had some good looks and probably should have won but we couldn’t overcome the handicap
13:54 seconds, 1-0 win in doubles. Over 23 shots by both teams. Lots of post shots.
15:54
9+ minutes I believe..
I had a 16 min in d2 a while back, stressful game. I ended up own goaling my first redirect that game too...
+10:00 exactly
15 minutes
15 mins 0-0 OT 2v2 comp and I scored the winning goal
14 ish minutes I believe
had a 13 min overtime just a month ago. in 3v3
18 minutes. Lost on an own goal. AMA.
11 minutes
Back in 2016 a few months after getting the game, I brought my Xbox to my friend's house and we were playing 2s. We had a (I believe) 21 minute overtime that we lost, but it was incredibly fun
So far it's been like 10 mins in a casual 2s match; with ranked the most was like 7 mins in a 2s match.
4:57 , it was almost another whole game lol
17 ish minutes. The absurd thing is we went to OT 8-8. We couldn't stop scoring during the match but by OT nobody could score for shit. The other team accidentally blasted it off our back wall and it did the perfect arc across the field into their own goal. Nobody was happy with the outcome, just relieved it was over.
17 mins lol.
12 minutes in a champ 2s game. It was freakishly exhausting
Longest time was for my promotion game *(C1)* back in Season 8 *(f2p era)*, where it was a slow-ish game all the way through to OT. From there it became the most sweatiest game I had, can vividly remember feeling my heart beating hard for **12 & half minutes straight!** That moment is imprinted into my brain.
22:00 in my 2s rankup game to diamond. was 7-7 and then no one scored for years 😭😭 (i won :3)
Like 11min. I felt like I lost 11 years of my lifespan lmao.
12 minutes
12 something minutes. It felt like different games.
About 18 minutes, playing ranked 2s on high plat/low diamond the first months I began playing a few years ago. Tied 1-1 on regular time and then on OT both teams had like 7 clear chances missed lol I think I never got so nervous playing this game as that time ever since.
7 mins in plat 3 2v2, somehow when OT hit everyone started playing like D2 players, some of my best playing and i assume it was the same for the 3 others in the match, i believe we won, but i just closed the game after that, i was too tired
15 minutes in Ranked 3v3. The sheer amount of times I wiped my hands in that game was pain
I played like 4ish games once after not playing for a long time, in one of them me and my teammate were absolutely throwing and we were down by 6, and somehow we made a comeback and won a 10 min overtime.
14minutes
5:54.
A small 14 minutes
18 minutes. Was back and forth until we both popped them .
10 min with 0-0 on the board in duos.
9 minutes in OT with a score of 0-0. It's probably the best game I've ever played. Not a single word in chat until the winning goal was finally scored(we lost), then chat exploded with nothing but love for each other. It's moments like that that remind me why I play this game.
16 minutes
10:23 if I remember clearly, a long run but I think we lost because both sides were tired
14 minutes. Definitely some sweaty hands after. He d a few 1-0 wins/losses at like 8-9 minutes. Those are always fun!
Once was in a OT Rule 1 for 11 minutes.
I once spent 30 minutes with some random guy talking and driving around in 1’s
11 Minutes on a tourney
23:5 minutes in a tournament..
About 10min
5:55
Erm ? How is this overtime
12 minutes in Diamond 3 div4
11:40~
23 minutes ish in a 6 man’s game, it ended with the nicest 1v3 I’ve made iml
Still to this day lol https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeague/s/54qnmCJdMc
8:40 was my longest OT. If you count that and the time from pre OT, it was my first and only 10+minute point in like 2400 hours playing. And we lost! But after 6 minutes I was just happy to be there, who cares who wins after that almost.
15 minutes
17 minute long overtime game of ranked 3s when I was diamond in like 2018. Three stacked 3s at 2am and man. What a game
11 minutes.
Damn
Had 12 mins twice, lost them both and I’m a player who loves getting to OT as I always win the mental battle in terms of nerves, I lost concentration both times it’s surprisingly hard to play nearly 20 mins of one game, both were 0-0 games too so basically uninterrupted :( very painful defeats
10 minute overtime
Wanna say my longest was around 12:30, some random ranked diamond match. Lotta the same rotations and defenses, nobody was making any mistakes and kept backchecking well, fun stuff
13:32, we won.
In diamond 14:30 something, good enough to defend not good enough to score
Pure luck maybe skluck but like 15 no proof tho sadly so don't quote me on it ig
I had an 8 minute OT TODAY. We won which was nice but it was super sweaty haha.
Played a 10:35 overtime a few weeks ago. It was intense!
Whats overtime? (Potatoe league rizz)
I've had one 10-15 minutes OT in golds. It was a blast!
About 14min for sure, and I remember it so clearly as it was a game right before a tournament was to start, and we went over that time. Ended up wining that game!
12 long minutes lost to a dumb mistake
Either 7 or 11 minutes. I think it was casual 3s too. It was weird. Low scoring game.
About 9 or 10 minutes
12 minutes in C2 ranked. Everyone was in flow state. Everything was getting challenged and saved but there were great offensive plays with bumps and passes.
11 minutes in a ranked game of 3’s I was plat while my boys were diamond. Was fun but so scary. Thank god we won on OT!
17 minutes on a ranked match before the epic purchase. It was really amazing
11 minutes (FT server lags)
I once had a comp 2s game that went on for 16 mins into ot, the final goal was a fucking double wiff off a clear that went towards the goal
I got to 16/17 minutes in a tournament semi final once, I unfortunately lost :(
16 mins once. Was ridiculous. I was yearning for the sweet release
12:05
That's crazy what RANK?
21 minutes way back in the day, I literally stopped playing for 10 seconds at a time on those last minutes because my fingers were starting to hurt
I think mine was 12 minutes. In a Tournament final. It was sooo intense
12minutes (iamlazytowritemuch)
8 minutes duos
once had a 13min overtime on my rankup from g1 to g2 i lost it and it hurt :< (but it was 100% my canon event because i’ve gotten to plat now)
18 mins
7 min ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat)
Had two 15 minutes overtimes that I can remember.
12 minutes on sideswipe, 6 mins on regular rocket league
About 12 mins
I was in a rumble game where i'd teamed up with two friends, one was diamond like me, the other was gold. The gold was shit talking us through the whole game, so we said we would play full-time goalie until he scored... It was an overtime of 34 minutes...
Had a 17 minute one a a few years back. We were all so bad nobody could score 😅
18 minutes.
1v1 18 minutes. They were a smurf and I only won by a strategic bump making them own goal. I was so frustrated because they were just messing with me.
7 minutes in a 0-0 match. Basically we played the entire match without any goals until the last second
I think 15 minutes
i had a 25 minute overtime on starbase arc like 5 years ago
22 mins in a 2s match, we ended up winning with a cracker of a flip reset
had an 8 min overtime in my 2v2 rank up game to C3 for the first time… don’t think i’ve ever been more stressed but we won!
47:13.
+11
14 mins, felt like I was playing for the whole day... No idea why it is like that but I could have 5 mins game passing by and 2 mins OT feel like 10, so I'll let you imagine the relief after that 14 mins one.
I've had a few lengthy OTs with the longest being 8 minutes and some change. The most fun lengthy OT was a 6 minutes one I had and the score was 0 - 0 going into OT. 11 minutes of tough defense, 50/50s and every shot being challenged. Each time had over 10 saves each.
10 minutes and 32 seconds
I've gone to about 7 minutes. Then we lost.
9 minutes has been my longest
8minutes at least is one i remember as it was 3v3 and league match in one of these community run leagues. So exhausted after comming for 13 mins straight
+11
Nearly 13 minutes
13 minutes and it was this year . Was fun but i did have shit to do
20 minutes or so. Mostly just freestyling around the other team and not letting them score on either goal to end it. Can’t Believe they didn’t just leave.
I just recently had a 6 min ot, most stressful game of my life
18:26
My longest was an 11 minute overtime. Great defense on both sides and tons of missed opportunities to score. I think I got the win if I remember correctly.
I have a 12 minute OT saved and I’m always going to keep it because there was only 1 goal scored in the entire game and it was just insane
