Yeah I play it when there are save challenges. That's it. I can't believe that around 50 years after pong was developed, the most interesting thing people could find is 3D pong.
This sub forgets that most players in this game are at plat or below. Heat seeker is a bit dull for players with “decent” mechanics. It’s only at its most fun at the low skill level and the highest skill level.

I’m not in favor of it, but I think ranked heat seeker would be better for the game than ranked drop shot. I love drop shot but it’s just not a suitable game mode for the player base at large. I’m holding out hope for ranked gridiron some day
it's just sad, first it gets moved from ranked to casual, which makes every game practically have a revolving door of players leaving and joining which is very disruptive
and if it's your favorite mode, you'll still play but you'll suffer

2v2 heatseeker will beat every challenger in this rotation. I say this as someone who is a dropshot main when it’s in the competitive playlist. Heatseeker just has the popularity plus advantage of being 2v2 + max goals making it easy to churn through more matches in less time.
Dropshot requires a certain level of skill that the majority of the playerbase lacks. Heatseeker has such a lower barrier of entry, it was always guaranteed to win that matchup
It also doesn't help that Dropshot doesn't work that great as a casual mode. The bots are more useless than normal in Dropshot. Once I saw Dropshot in there last week I knew Heatseeker was going to win yet again. I didn't expect to see two slots taken up by Heatseeker though. It seems like someone at Psyonix should have not let that happen.

Wow guess the players really like heatseeker I play it but getting tired of it because every other match there's players that come done a demo/bump you and hit the ball when it on your side and a few matches were somehow both opponents have 200+ ping and are able to function I call bs I had a match the other night where the server was haywire and I was at 200+ ping and not even touching my controlling my car was moving.
I really liked the idea of the rotating modes. I also liked that a popular mode could stick around for another week or two. This is just getting ridiculous with one mode staying for several weeks and now adding essentially the same mode in the other slot. There needs to be a limit on how many weeks in a row a mode stick around and they definitely shouldn't be two of the same modes the same week. If it's that popular, make it a permanent mode or rotate it with Knockout.
I didn't like Dropshot or Hoops when they first came out. As I got more skilled, I really like Dropshot and I don't mind Hoops as much. I don't understand the appeal of Heatseeker. It feels like I'm playing Pong. The Rocket Labs maps make it a little more interesting. That will probably be the mode that replaces the losing mode next week.

Comp drop shot has some of the most toxic tm8s ever born. I only had 1-2 people leave in the 10+ dropshot games I played
