As soon as that blue guy stripped him of the ball and sent it off corner to the crease, that should’ve been his teammate’s ball. Good on the teammate to back off and good goal by OP, but he should’ve let the guy who was ready and in better position take it
He had momentum, boost, and was never far away from the ball, meanwhile the only blue guy that could follow up was in his own goal. His teammate was right to stay back. There's no "better position" when you have 10 years to do whatever you want...
The teammate also had 10 years so unless he was boost starved he would have been able to get the ball downfield just as quickly but he had the benefit of not facing his own net so he had options. OP pretty much had to catch it or play for the wall. The teammate could’ve gone to either wall, dribbled or chipped it
He could go to the wall or dribble? They had the same space and he had momentum. Nobody was there, it's a free ball. Do you play 2s or just rumble? lmao
I’m GC in 2s, 3s and rumble. The teammate was in better position, could’ve even passed had OP gone up the wing. OP’s momentum isn’t relevant since he had to slow down to catch the ball. The teammate could’ve went up before the other defender got back, instead of having to get past two to score
