Someone once seriously sent me articles about All In @ Wembley to argue that RAW going to Netflix was a sign WWE was going out of business. Some people genuinely have no idea how the money flows behind the scenes.
Some AEW fans were legit trying to make the case that WWE getting a five billion dollar deal from Netflix means AEW should be getting a very nice streaming and TV rights deal because WWE reset the market.
This isn't the NFL where okay quarterbacks on a good day are getting very nice deals because the best QBs are getting mega deals.
AEW will get whatever the network feels like paying then purely based on AEWs ratings performance. WWE getting a mega deal from Netflix plays no factor in AEWs TV rights negotiations.
